Sub Par Basic Chinese Processed High MSG food... I ordered the chicken fried rice and the order in which I picked up on time. The chicken was cold, Slimy Pale White, And Raw... I ordered the General Tso's tofu with brown rice and steamed broccoli. About half way into the meal, I noticed there were a few long black hairs in the broccoli. Instead of discarding the meal, I set the broccoli container to the side and continued. Lol; there was another hair in my rice. To conclude the evening, I was drenched in sweat with significant abdominal pain and tossing my cookies. Considering this, the place is affordable and convenient. They can be hit or miss some times. Nothing mind blowing, but usually they are good. I like their fried 1/2 chicken, french fries, pork fried rice, chicken and broccoli and chicken egg foo young. Two comments; I wish they were more consistent because all of these items mentioned, when they are good they are tasty. Be aware they are priced about average for the area which isn't that cheap. They do deliver rather quickly even on the weekends. I recommend them if you near the downtown Stamford area or close enough for delivery. Ah Great Wall. Honestly this place looks like a dump from the outside. Looking at the sign and well the surrounding few stores you would expect this place to be pretty grimy inside, but that would just be like every other chinese takeout place. Surprisingly though, when you step inside this place, it is actually quite clean and even has a fish tank with parrot fish in it. I have been here a couple of times for lunch. There's a pretty good list of lunch specials and like all other chinese places it's not too expensive. Pretty much on par with other Chinese take out places, but the great thing is this place doesn't charge extra for brown rice. This isn't something you would except in well Stamford... That was a nice surprise for me. Lastly the food isn't crazy heavy and actually taste quite good. Definitely my go-to spot for Chinese take out in Stamford. read more

I hate giving this place 2 stars but really this place could be so much better. They really seem like they put minimal effort into their food or just want to save as much money as possible, which I do understand since their prices are pretty low but I've definitely had Chinese food that was as cheap, but tasted way better. First off, their fried rice really sucks. I don't know why Chinese takeout places cannot make good fried rice, but I'd be ok with subpar fried rice. Unfortunately, this place does not achieve even subpar status. Their fried rice is literally yellow rice with bits of whatever meat you ordered. That's it. For the lunch combo, I got it with Wonton Soup and the trend continued. The soup was literally just white soup with 3 wontons. The wontons themselves had meat the size of a skittles in the wonton. Soup was decently flavorful but the wontons were inedible since there was just so much wonton dough. I got Kung Pao Chicken and the vegetables were decent and they gave a decent amount of chicken, but the flavor was really lacking and there wasn't much sauce. On a positive note, I did check out another person's order of saucy wings and honestly, they looked pretty good. Maybe the way to go here is to order from the fried food menu section and not the Chinese dishes. We'll see if I go back and give it another shot. read more

Service: Food preparation is usually quick, but don't expect any thing outside of that because you won't get it. From experience, asking to simply add ketchup and hot sauce to an order lead to a lecture on how I should request such things before the lid to my food container is closed. Surprisingly this Chinese food was pretty good the price plus the soda of my meal was a little unexpected it was rather cheap for a Chinese place found in downtown Stamford Connecticut. It's definitely a takeout spot it does have plenty of tables and chairs if you decide to dine in to kill time or eat like a human. I called my order in with no problem and very little hold time. I recommend this place to anybody that's looking for some good Chinese food at a great price I will definitely be returning here and will be recommending my co-workers friends and family that live near and close. The prices here are low. And the food is representative of that. If you want cheap Chinese food, you'll get it here. I got the sesame chicken and the meat dumplings, among other smaller items. The sesame chicken is far over priced, considering it's 90% breaking surrounding week old chicken. The dumplings are a sad excuse for such. They, also, are 90% starch. I know dumplings and these are not wrapped in wonton. These are "wrapped" in some extremely dough-y substance that turns out very fluffy. And the meat inside is hardly that. It's all ground up and mildly orange colored with no really meat flavor. I'll never be ordering from this restaurant again. The only reason for 2 stars versus 1 is because of the prompt delivery and the fact that he order was correct and I received all sides/packets of sauce and plastic ware necessary. I suggest paying an extra $2 a dish and going with another place. **Update** An hour later after calling them about the order, driving up to the restaurant, waiting in line for twenty minutes and then calmly and very nicely speaking to the man cooking and working the register, I was offered only $12 of my $20 order ($2 being delivery charge and $3 being a TIP I had left), because Yelp Eat24 charges the business 20%. In town on business and found them using yelp. Being able to order thru the app was a plus. When I got there to pick up my order, I had to drive around the block a few times to find parking. When I got there, my food was ready and the service was outstanding. When I got back to the hotel, I found the food to be very delicious. The Hunan chicken was flavorful and actually spicy (ordered it spicy). The veggies were crisp and fresh and the chicken was tender. My boneless spare ribs were very good! I'm glad I found them.
