The service was extremely unorganized and unprofessional. One of our drinks was forgotten until we asked. Despite four different employees coming to our table, nobody could explain where our order was. We ordered to dine in, but our food was boxed up without anyone telling us. We weren't informed until the very end that our chicken and waffles had never been rung up after everything. To make matters worse, we spent the entire meal fighting flies off our food and drinks. When a fly landed in our drink and we brought it up we were told, "Yeah, that happens." Definitely would not recommend. read more

Just South on Bull Street from Forsyth park and the Farmers Market is this cute little diner with very solid breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the pomegranate mimosa was a fresh addition. My favorite elements would be the girls working at the front audibly sharing the T and the chef with the funny beanie motioning to me, "thumbs up?" on my breakfast. 10/10 read more

10/10/25 - Party of 2 - Brunch I've seen the crowds at Alexander's and was curious what made them so popular. They offer a few vegetarian dishes which can be hard to find for breakfast. We both chose the burrito breakfast bowls (I think that was the name) which included one egg, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, candied jalapenos and the hottest salsa. The veggies were a bit too greasy and the spice level was way too much for me. I wish I was warned it was going to be that spicy. There was a lot of grease in the bottom of the bowl. My partner had a coffee and I asked for water. I was given a tiny plastic cup to help myself to a water dispenser. and we bused our table. $45.73 for brunch was way too much for a mediocre meal IMO. read more

We went as a group of 5. My daughter, husband, and I ordered the "Wake Up Breakfast". My daughter and I ordered our eggs scrambled with cheese. When ours came we tried the eggs and noticed there was no cheese. When the "server" finally checked on us I informed her there was no cheese in our eggs. She replied she could check with the cook. She came back and told us he said he put cheese. Then said "he makes these all the time so there is no way he forgot". The sausage was tough, none of us ate it or the eggs. Drink options are limited so we got water. We had small plastic cups to fill out of a drink dispenser. I will not go back. Overpriced and overrated. read more

This charming cafe is quite unassuming. The menu is not broad but offers a range of breakfast all day items and several sandwiches and sides. We stopped for lunch. I had the chicken salad - no fillers here, just deliciousness! My son ordered the burger and said it was absolutely amazing. He's not a toddler, just a college student and amateur burger connoisseur. We topped it off with an epic strawberry lemon bar. The staff were friendly and helpful as well! Highly recommend! read more

We popped in for breakfast one morning while on a weekend getaway and we had an excellent breakfast! We shared the egg sandwich and it was loaded with huge mushrooms, sausage, bacon, and two eggs! The eggs were cooked perfect and the mushrooms were amazing on the sandwich. The baguette was super soft and tasted so fresh! I enjoyed a Prosecco along side my latte! We are visiting from out of town and wanted to try this place. The service was good. They were accommodating on changes to the Grit bowl (removing the bacon). The open ceiling concept and faux-wood tile floors make for a very loud environment. The service was fast and everyone was friendly. I had the Slow Start breakfast. It was great. The scallions and shallots really added a different dimension to the dish. I'd give it 5/5 My wife had the Grits bowl. She said it was bland lacking seasoning. The diced tomatoes on top were oily and bitter and that detracted from the taste. She gave it a 3/5 The specials board has a lot of interesting offerings, so we will be back. read more

Don't have an order window for customers with dogs if you're going to ignore them. See my prior review as the manager or owner touted this perk on a prior visit. I waited for 11 minutes, and watched through the window, customer inside being waited on after I arrived. Finally, I spoke to a male waiter that was delivering food to an outside table, and he took my order. Eliminate this service window if you're not going to wait on a dog lover. read more

My friend's and I are on an "Alphabet Adventure" of Savannah's food scene. So, we started here on Sunday morning to check off the letter "A". We were super excited about this place after reading the reviews, but felt our experience was pretty average. Drinks: For obvious reasons, we first ordered the coffee sampler flight. However, we were informed they no longer offer this super cool option (it's still on the menu so, FYI!). So, my two gals friends settled for a lemon meringue latte & white chocolate mocha - the former is a MUST, so good. Food: I had the Full Breakfast - very basic IMO, so wish I would have branched out. One friend ordered Shrimp & Grits and it didn't settle great for her. The other ordered the Slow Start Scramble and she seemed pleased. We all shared the Baloo Berry Muffin, which was very sharable & tasty, but thought it could use some cinnamon crumbles on top. I would def be interested in coming back to try lunch or a coffee myself, as other menu items look good. Not sure I'd go out of my way to try again, but it's in a good location near Forsyth, so could find me here giving another try on my next visit to the Park. read more

Alexander's is a bistro that you should visit. I'm glad that I did! Between the great food, service, and location I only have love for this new cafe and restaurant. It is conveniently located one block away from Forsyth Park. So it is a quick stroll if you are in the area. It is right at the corner of Bull Street and Duffy Street. You can park on the surrounding streets for free. Local 11 Ten is across the street if you need a building to look for. They offer seating indoors and outdoors. From the outside the bistro looks small. But once you step inside, wow so much space! There are multiple tables, banquets, and a small bar dining area too. I love the large windows and art on the walls. The counter where you order is to your right when you walk in. There is a digital menu up on wall. But they also have paper menus as well. And large menus directly printed on the wall in front of the registers. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and small bites to eat. For drink options there are coffees, teas, beers, and wines. We enjoyed breakfast on Saturday morning with the following: slow start scramble for each of us, a side of fresh fruit, dirty chai latte, & the Elizabeth latte. The slow start scramble was delicious! And beautiful to look at too. It is scrambled eggs, white cheddar, shallots, bacon, and scallions, on a brioche bun. I got mine without cheese. It is a lot of food. I was only able to eat one half of my bun. The one item I would not suggest is the fresh fruit. It was certainly not all fresh. We each enjoyed our coffee beverages. They came in clear mugs. These are my favorite! And gorgeous with an edible flower too! The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly. We had questions since it was our first time in the bistro. Our questions were answered promptly and politely. All of our food and beverages were brought to us in a timely manner with a smile. We were thanked at the register for coming in. And when we were leaving we were thanked as well. This new bistro should be added to your must visit list! read more

TERRIBLE! Just kidding...and now that will be the first word that all eyes go to.... Joking aside.. All the reviews were spot on accurate. The "Baloo berry" muffin had the decadent crispy top, the inside was so (yes here i go) moist. No butter needed. The spicy turkey w bacon sub was made fresh to order. Even the in house bread tasted fresh. And the latte...uh may I R.I.P.. This place is small yet cute. Like a little French bistro...w/o the French. Im glad I went 19min out of my way of heading back to myrtle Beach..to stop for brunch. Pro tip.. Breakfast goes from 8am-11am. But pastries are served all day. read more

We passed this spot while visiting White Whale Craft Ales next door (which I highly recommend!). There is a laid back vibe and a menu with a lot of variety. The decor is mostly local art work and neutral furniture. There are a handful of tables inside and about two tables outside. We went on a Sunday when they had their brunch menu. You order at the counter and food is brought to you. The coffee was delicious! I highly recommend the iced honey & cinnamon latte! My friend got the cold brew and that was good as well. The blueberry muffin was pretty good and the quiche was tasty. The scotch egg was not it. It should have a soft boiled egg in the center with a yolk that is solid but not cooked through. This egg was hard boiled. Overall the coffee was better than the food, but I enjoyed it as a light breakfast. read more

I am local to Savannah and I have been following Alexander's Bistro on instagram for sometime and finally had a change to come check it out. Regretfully, I was a bit disappointed. The decor was dated, and not in a fun vintage way. Seemed more like a cafe for seniors than a cute brunch spot they claim to be. It was not too busy when I was here, so we were able to order pretty quickly. I ordered a drip coffee and a grits brunch bowl without the bacon. I was handed a mug for the coffee and a number for the food. My friend and I sat at a table with empty mugs for nearly 10 minutes when a busser asked if we knew the coffee was self service across the cafe. We did not, and had to continuously get up for refills. The coffee really was great though. The grits were bland, I had to dress the bowl up with butter, salt and pepper myself. Otherwise the meal tasted great with those additions. I would give them another try but likely would not go out of my way to bring out of town guests here. read more

We ordered the slow start scramble sandwiches, kanelbullar (cinnamon buns) and balooberry muffins for breakfast and the spicy turkey club and roast beef sandwiches with fresh fruit for lunch. They bake all their breads and pastries in house daily so everything was incredibly fresh. They were able to deliver to us and breakfast was still warm when it arrived. I ended up looking at the menu before I went so I knew what I was getting and how much I was going to pay. I got the spicy Turkey sub with chicken pasta on the side and a slushy lemonade. Without the gift card my total was $18 but you get a ton of food with that price tag. Plus the slushy was $5. The bread on the sub was absolutely amazing!!! I loved every bite. It's raining on Friday late morning and we just walked through Forsyth Park ending up on the south side. We needed something and found Alexander's Bistro. You seat your in a small dining area and order at counter. We got the brioche sandwich with smoke salmon and cream cheese and tomato basil soup. Also ordered caramel macchiato. First off the people who run this place are absolutely incredible they are so sweet and you can tell that this is a passion for them to run this place. Secondly, the food and coffee are just to die for. I got the brisket sandwich and my boyfriend got the club sandwich. They make the bread in house, so fresh and yummy. Alexander's just might be my new favorite spot to pop in at! Stopped in recently for a coffee and a bite to eat, not really expecting too much but I was impressed! Their menu selection as much more intricate than I imagined and their beverage offering covered a wide variety as well. We ended up trying out their iced coffee flight (first I've ever heard of one) and it was a delicious and fun experience to sample some offerings. Their food menu is hard to choose from because it all looks delicious. Varying from grab and go pastries to more sit down meals. Come back in the evening for wine and beer and other snacks and menu options. Location is great too, right next to the heart of the city, Forsyth Park, it's a great option to come in, hang out and get ready to go back out into the city. read more

Normally Yelp doesn't disappoint but I'd say the food looked great but almost everything for me was pretty bland. I got the chai latte to start. Tasted like super hot watery milk with a dash of cinnamon on top. Then for food I got the chicken salad sandwich which was very dry meat and almost no flavor, but I will say the side of fries were delicious! The hubs said his vanilla latte tasted good once he got past all the foam on top and he got the scramble to eat, and said the eggs on it were good. So guess it sounds like I'm either being the picky one or I didn't pick the right things this morning lol read more

Attempted to grab breakfast and avoid the rush downtown, terrible idea attempting that here. They were clearly short staffed but wouldn't let the business go so they told everyone coming in there was a "15 min" pause on putting in food orders and that they would come take our order once that was over. They instead forgot us and 4 other tables and started taking orders of people coming in the door. After noticing what happened and bringing it to their attention, they tried to rush us to the front of the line but the damage was done, we had close to 10 tickets in front of us. We gave up and left, what a waste of time to only get a terrible $7 lemonade. read more
