    Small scratch on the car that we have not done.. they are asking $1300 for that

    Unfair and scammers! I hate doing this-making bad reviews, but we are extremely frustrated! We rented the car for 5 days in Boston. We brought the car back in the same condition as we got. After 10 days we received an email stating that we damaged the car (front) and we own them $1300. When we picked up the car it was already little bit damaged in a different way (back) They found little scratch on the front and saying that we did it.. Which is totally wrong! You can see the photo for what they are asking money. And as I mentioned above after 10 days when we left the car. We looked up at Damage Appraisers and they were red flagged for being scammers!! PS location is in Boston at Logan International Airport

    My bag locked in the car after we turned in the keys only to realize we forgot it.

    I forgot my backpack in a car I returned and have gone almost a week with no legitimate response, no manager contact and a bot email stating they can't locate my bag. I have pictures of it locked in the car when I returned it and have sent more emails and phone calls than I can count. I would not recommend using such a shady company that can't return a customer's belongings.

    So, here's my story, I used a CC to rent and insure a Dollar rental car. (Prices approximate)…read morethrough Expedia, I might add. Cost $490.23 for the car and $140 for insuring said car...after the fact....meaning I used the same card for the insurance, but not the same day. We got to the front desk, told them I'd paid already, and they told me they needed to hold $200 plus I added $71 fuel cost which is $271. I proceeded to give my wife's credit card for the hold and the fuel. When the receipt was presented to me, there was a charge of $985, needless to say after seeing the receipt, I had to change my drawers. Now, long story, short, we worried through our whole trip about that charge, because it was a new credit card and we had no idea that that was going to be the charge on the card. And I was imagining all sorts of difficulty in trying to get that money reversed. Returning the car was a piece of cake. All that was needed was to leave the keys on the dash and walk away, which is pretty cool in my book. But still, I wondered or I should say, my wife and I wondered what the disposition would be of the final bill, and we had to wait a bit to see what would happen. (Suggestion: this is a pay at the Desk rental car company, that is why there was the large charge on the second credit card, however, I'm glad I reserved it early, they seem to have had a plethora of cars there.) Will we didn't receive a final bill but a few days later my wife and I were elated when that $985 had been returned on her new credit card, so we did indeed only pay the $630 or $40 needed which I'd already paid. So, other than worrying about that major expense on one card we were relieved to see the money returned, back on the Second credit card!!! So I'd like to say kudos to Expedia and to Dollar Rent-A-Car for a somewhat nervous but happy Experience, even though it was slightly stressful. If we had had foreknowledge of that big expense being returned, we likely would've not stressed so much, that said I would recommend dollar, they treated us fairly, and pretty good!!!

    **November 2025: Weekend After & Morning Visit**…read more I should have read these reviews before reserving the rental. Long story short, this was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. The rental was paid in full and the customer service rep insisted that that was an estimate. The car we were given was not what we signed up for and later we saw that we were charged extra for it. They also charged some additional things that we did not agree to. There were many phone calls made and I think to save yourself all the headaches it would be in your best interest to do business elsewhere. It's not worth it.

    Wow, location location location is what Boston Hilton @ Logan Airport has to offer. Had to grab a…read moresuper early flight on DELTA and decided to stay here. From your room it's like a 5 minute walk across to Logan Airport and Delta check in.... I was flabbergasted by this simple convenience by Hilton & Logan Airport... Now my room was clean and great shower heat & pressure for cleaning the body after a long sweaty day. Super huge Samsung flat screen TV for the room and great corner view of airport all thanks to my Hilton Honors upgrade. Now my only complaint was the front desk indicated we were to received $18 each to use on food or beverages. So we decided an evening snack and cocktail was I order. First off I ordered a White Russian but the waiter took it upon himself to upgrade liquor shot for $20 Tito's without asking. Plus he didn't credit us for the $18 x 2 for our bill. Not a big deal on the credit but come on if you give it then I want it. I'll be back at this hotel for sure just for the simplicity for traveling in a busy airport.. I salute you HILTON !

    So, my husband was sitting in the lobby where we were staying the night in this convenient airport…read morehotel, where we have stayed before, and he was finishing a $20 glass of wine and doing some emails, after we had dinner in the publik house restaurant. I went upstairs to unpack, and guess what, out of everyone in the entire lobby that was sitting there, a security guard went to my (well-dressed by the way) husband and said "only guests are allowed to be here in the lobby, are you staying here" Okay, racist much? No one else was asked this in the entire lobby! And would they have asked a WHITE person this? I don't think so. Thank god my husband actually had his room key and didn't tell me until later because he knows I would have gone down and screamed at them. So that's it --- no more HILTON for us ever anywhere again.
