I was treated here on Father's Day. I must say it's a beautiful restaurant with great service (I can't remember our waitress's name, but she told me she's from South Africa and has been working at the restaurant for a year, so if you get a waitress with an accent it's probably her. She's fantastic) and the food was very good. We started off with the Truffled Vineyard Fries (they're decadent). I had the Creste Di Gallo (roasted chicken, mushrooms, spinach, and oven roasted tomatoes). We'll definitely be back in the Fall during football season when I KNOW that place will be packed!
We went on a date night to Sixty Vines, which involved a beautiful walk up the street in Uptown Charlotte--about a mile, just enough distance to feel virtuous without needing orthopedic intervention afterward. The evening had promise written all over it. We were met by the hostess and seated promptly, which always puts a man in a forgiving mood. Then Daniel, our waiter, popped out from around the corner like he'd been waiting his whole life just to greet us. Friendly fellow. Got the drink order, gave us time to stare at the menu like it might blink first. The house salad was fantastic. That citrus vinaigrette is the kind of thing that makes you stop chewing and think, Well now, I'm going to have to figure this out at home. Bright, balanced, and proof that someone in that kitchen knows what they're doing. My bride ordered the eggplant spinach rigatoni. It was a decent dish, but the spinach was apparently shy that night and chose not to participate much. She ate it, enjoyed parts of it, but it's safe to say it won't be making a return appearance on her order slip. I had the braised pork shoulder with pappardelle. The sauce was excellent--rich, comforting, and the best thing on the plate. The pasta, however, was congealed like it had been thinking about life a little too long before getting to the table. Not ruined, just... hesitant. Daniel was working tables on all four corners of the room, moving like a man late for his own wedding. It took about twenty minutes to get a glass of Sangiovese. Normally, that's when a fellow starts to get testy, but seeing the man run took the edge off. You can't stay mad at effort. In the end, we were a little disappointed, but we were full, we were together, and life was still good--which is usually enough to call it a decent night out
I absolutely love Sixty Vines. I make all my friends and coworkers come here. It's one of the most consistent places in Charlotte. The service, food, ambiance, all consistent. This is always in rotation for me. I've had the pizzas, porkchop, bavette steak, several pastas, two desserts, charcuterie boards, burger. It's ALL good. There's only been one dish I did not like that. Everything else is phenomenal. I love getting the Bright Side mocktail when I'm in a 'no alcohol' phase. I also very much enjoy their frozen wine. I've had Salé serve me twice and more recently for my birthday. His customer service is always superb. Also I REALLY like the cheesecake here. It's not generic like other mid-tier dining restaurants.
Amazing place right in the heart of Charlotte. No free parking nearby but if you park in any of the garages nearby they'll validate parking! Our waitress was amazing and the food came out quickly and was delicious! I got the eggs benedict and a vanilla latte and both were absolutely amazing! Good real coffee and the eggs benedict had a delicious hollandaise on it and candien bacon bits, as well as smashed avocado. Got the blackberry sage lemonade which was so so good!!
Really don't have any bad critique to say about this restaurant. Its a great place to celebrate any occasion especially with close friends or going for a date. The wine selection is amazing and I definitely recommend doing a wine flight which allows 4 tastings of any choice of the wines from the abundant choices on their menu. They do 2.5 oz pours for the wine flights for a total of 4 choices. The bacon wrapped dates was the only food item I tried during my first time visit and it did not disappoin. I am a big fan of dates served with a meaty twist such as the bacon on these topped with grated parmesan! The inside of the restaurant is beautifully deco giving an elegant look. Its also located by a beautiful architectural structures where you can also be seated on lounging tables outside great for a lunch date option.
Good experience. Table location outside was slightly awkward but we made it work. We sat at a table that could fit 6. There were 4 girls at the table and then there was us. The only thing separating us was the empty two sits in between. Food was good. I got the shrimp pasta. Delicious but salty. The First crush cocktail drink was not good. I couldn't describe it. Just not what I was expecting. Decent and would come here again for drinks before or after a night out.
Fried Chicken+Caviar (4/5): Very large pieces of chicken that were very crispy! The taste was just ok though (it kind of reminded me of a McChicken patty but with a MUCH better texture). The caviar got lost in the mix and felt like an unnecessary addition. Double Cabernet Burger (3/5): Decent burger, but it was pretty one-dimensional. There wasn't enough flavor and it mostly just tasted like meat and bread. Definitely could've used some more mayo or some additional sauce. The crispy fingerling potatoes were quite crispy. It would've been better with a dipping sauce or a seasoning other than just salt and pepper. Margherita Pizza (3/5): Texture was the main issue. The crust was sort of spongey but also very tough and chewy. The sauce didn't extend out far enough which really accentuated the not-so-great crust. I would've preferred more cheese as well. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)
Met a friend for brunch and we enjoyed this restaurant. I've been a few times and the food is always good. My fave is the crest do gallo (not pictured). Service was great as usual and the staff were attentive. Brunch was great and noticed quite a few larger groups dining there as well - and it wasn't too loud. They validate parking which is a plus.
Whoever picked Sixty Vines for our dinner gathering can plan all our future outings! Sixty Vines validates parking, with the prices of Charlotte parking that was already a $15-20 savings. Sixty Vines is wine and bites. Friendly knowledgeable staff, clean modern ambiance, and the playlist had me bobbing my head. Now to the food, I didn't think bacon wrapped dates would be as Del as they were. Savory with a pop of sweet, served on a skewer, with finely grated cheese on top. Just try them! Brussels sprouts are always a favorite of my and these did not disappoint! The cadre and pinio Grigio wines were (chef's kiss) as well as the Wheels Up cocktail that was a paper plane with their house made blueberry simple syrup. For my entree I had the spicy sausage pizza. Perfect personal size pizza, it's was sooo good, hot and fresh. I grabbed the Cabernet burger and potatoes to go, to share with my husband. The burger was REALLY good, buttery bun, caramelized onions. The potatoes were probably fingerlings, smashed with crispy edged. I will definitely be coming back here for a date night or a girl's night. I was told that in the summer and spring their outdoor area is amazing!
Another great restaurant while in Charlotte. Cute vibe. It's one of those cute date night spots with low lighting. Service was great. She was attentive, thoughtful and friendly. Started off with some tasty cocktails. For starters got the grilled golden beets. These were amazing. They were cooked perfectly. And the addition of feta, pistachios and apricot vingerette YUM! We also got the burrata. I love me some burrata, this fell little flat for me, but not sure if it was because my pallet was blown away with the beets! Entries, we got the mushroom pizza and the spicy sausage! Both delicious. Thin crust wood fire pizza with flavorful toppings. Rainbow trout, again this was delicious. Actually my first time eating trout and I loved it! Then the double cabernet burger, yum! Seasoned well, cooked to perfection. The fingerling potatoes were disappointing, over cooked, but with a burger that good nothing else was needed.
Sixty Vines Charlotte is the third Sixty Vines location I've been lucky enough to dine out at. Sixty Vines hits every single time. From ambiance to service to drinks and food, it's always a great experience. I ordered a Tequila Fix. It was good but extremely sweet. One and done. Appetizers ordered were the truffled vineyard fries and the crispy zucchini. Definitely not mad at either one of those. Both of them very quickly became a favorite. If you ever have the opportunity to dine at a Sixty Vines location, do it. You won't regret it!
Let's start with our server, Harrison. He was great. He knew the menu and helped us pick options and wine. He was friendly and checked in, even on a busy Valentine's weekend. The food was good overall. Nothing was superb but any issue was had (some items seemed too salty) management quickly took care of. Service overall was top tier. A definite 5. Ambiance was good as well. There was a floral setting with a ring light for pictures, nice decor, and clean seating. I wish the menu had more options but I would return.
One of my favorite places in Charlotte! I first dined at the Sixty Vines in Nashville. There, we had a large group, and everything was perfect. I dreamed about the pork papardelle for weeks. When I found out they were opening a Charlotte location I was SO EXCITED. I made reservations for my birthday in early September. They had only opened a few weeks prior so I knew not to expect perfection. Lo and behold, two weeks into opening, and it WAS perfection. Every server was great, drinks were great (Gin and tonic on tap??? Amazing). We ordered the pork pappardelle, burrata, a pizza, the steak appetizer, and another pasta dish. It was a long night so can't remember everything - but I could never forget how good it all was!!! Finally, I ended up ordering the pork pappardelle for delivery (if you couldn't tell, I'm obsessed). Really cool place! I went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was not busy at all, but they will get very busy during the evenings and for brunch. The wines here are excellent, 60 to choose from, all on tap. The bartender was incredibly helpful in helping me pick what I wanted. I tried three different styles, a Cab Franc, a Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon blend and a Rosé. All were really great with complex flavor notes. The Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon was definitely my favorite. I had been to Sixty Vines in Nashville and had the best experience. When they announced they were opening one in Charlotte my hopes were extremely high as the vibes, service and food were immaculate. Needless to say, I was not disappointed coming to the charlotte location. Wow. Parking: a dream. Anywhere in south end can feel chaotic and I often won't go to a lot of places on the weekend because of it.. however Sixty Vines offered validated parking in the deck next door (I believe vantage parking deck is what it's called) The service was amazing, we never felt like he was hovering over us and he gave us ample amount of time to decide on wine / food options. I've heard so many good things about this spot and was taking a walk nearby so I spontaneously stopped in! I was happy to know that they are open for lunch and they are cashless!! Because I had only planned to grab a quick meal in the area I didn't bring my wallet with me, only my phone. But they use Toast for payment so I was good. Checked out using Apple pay, no problem, and I love that. The space is really really big, I have no idea how many they can seat inside but I know it's a LOT. The decor is very very nice. It's modern, and the pieces are well selected. I sat at a high table near the window and that was perfect. They also have nice seating on the outdoor patio, both lounges and tables. Everyone was really nice and helpful. One of the hostesses walked past a couple of times and asked "You okay, girl?" which was slightly awkward for some reason, but I rolled with it. My server was awesome and made me feel right at home. I had a non-alcoholic drink - the garden spritz - for a N.A. drink, it was really good! I even ordered a 2nd but for some reason it never came out and that was fine because I didn't need the calories anyway. I tried the shishito peppers and double Cabernet burger for my meal, I enjoyed them very much. The peppers were flavorful and sprinkled with feta. The burger was super moist and the caramelized onions really set it off. I almost think the star of my meal were the potatoes though. Woooow I've literally never ordered a pork chop in my life and they have completely changed my mind about it. First this is a beautiful restaurant it's a great place to go for dates or to bring someone who is out of town if you want to impress them with great ambiance. They have an extensive wine list and you can create a wine flight. The wines were amazing and they give good pour sizes. The menu was difficult for me because I really didn't love any of the choices which is why I ended up getting my delicious pork chop so expect to be a little bit adventurous and try something you haven't tried before. Went here for weekend brunch. A great place for friends gathering. Many long tables ready for party of 6 or more. We ordered mimosas for the table and it was fun to see how everyone made their own with the juice and fruit selection from the mimosa bar. Zucchini and lamb stuffed peppers tasted great. The charcuterie board was okay, nothing special. Our server was very nice and brought us everything in advance. There is a parking garage nearby and the restaurant offers parking validation for two hours. read more

I visited this place with a few friends for brunch. There is plenty of street parking around the restaurant if you arrive a bit early and don't mind walking. The brunch was amazing and our server was super nice, he even offered to separate the checks for a party of five. The food was delicious and there were options for different diet restrictions. The wife wanted to hit this place up, and I'm so glad she suggested it! I thought it'd be a wine bar with average food at best, but I was so wrong. Seriously one of the best meals I've had in Charlotte, and that isn't the wine talking. The food was incredible. The vibes were perfect for a Sunday brunch with a massive dining area and beautiful natural light filling the room. Our waiter was awesome and had small conversations but wasn't over bearing. I had high expectations for this hip new wine bar, nestled in North Southend, right next to the city... but they unfortunately fell short. With the wines being "on tap" they lose their taste and robustness, so 4/5 of the white wines I tried had no flavor. And I tried a wide variety: sauv blanc, Chennin blanc, fume blanc, rose & a blend! The food is average, and priced pretty high. The pizza was bland and the salad was literally only lettuce & beets..? I expected more things in a $16 salad. With all that being said, the ambience is beautiful. It's decorated with a rustic farmhouse feel with pops of tan & green. Our server was great too. Very knowledgeable about every wine we asked about. Although it seemed like every category I asked about she tried to sell me the most expensive pour...not necessarily the best one. It was busy because it was "newly opened" but I'm eager to see if once the smoke clears they stay booked :( read more

The decor of this place is very cute; it's giving coastal vibes. I loved the Creste Di Gallo Pasta (roasted chicken, mushrooms, spinach, oven-dried tomato, pesto cream), but I will not order the Brussels (crisp fried, kung pao vinaigrette, scallions, cashews) again. The Brussels were too acidic, and they were nearly burnt. We must have gotten a bad batch because none of the other reviews had brussels sprouts that looked this burnt; the pasta made up for it though. The noodles had a unique shape, and they were cooked to al dente. Everything in the pasta dish was extremely flavorful and paired well together! read more
From what a I've experienced of Sixty Vines so far, it's a real winner. I'm happy a place like this exists in Charlotte, especially South End where the focus is so much on beer and breweries. Sixty Vines is a wine lovers dream and they have amazing cocktails. I tried, and recommend, the Tequila Fix and the High & Tight (their version of an Aperol spritz). The food is yummy. So far, I've made it through 3 shared plates - the mushroom & leek fromage (Oof! Endless cheese pulls and the grilled ciabatta bread is delectable), the Brussels, and the wood grilled shrimp (the corn salad that comes with it will make you slap your dinner guest - I mean, not really, but you get the point). Service was good. Especially when we asked to be moved to a table with better lighting. They moved us to their enclosed sunroom and it was perfect. You get street views AND AC which is great for the still-hot summer days. Although, I look forward to being able to enjoy their patio spaces. All in all, I enjoyed Sixty Vines and my guest and I got out with a bill of $83. Not bad for 3 shared dishes and 3 cocktails. I'll be back this week for dinner with friends and will order an actual entree. PARKING IS VALIDATED if you park in the garage. If you park on the street, you have to pay but it's $3 and some change for 2 hours. It's just not always easy to find street parking so choose your best choice. read more

If I could give this place a plus 10 I swear I would ! Sixty Vines is opening up Tomorrow & I had a chance to preview before opening this past weekend .It's one building with different vibes inside & outside and that's one thing that truly makes this place stand out outside of the food being incredible ! My friend in Houston brags on this place all the time so. I was super excited to give them a try & I am impressed .All the dishes we tried were top notch & I love that they have so much variety on the menu from pizzas , burgers , pastas & my personal favorite was the chicken with caviar who would a thought to pair those two together right ? So another thing is they have over 60 wines on top which is a honorable mention I think & they offer more than wines you can indulge in specialty cocktails , beers & more . This is definitely about to be my spot leading into fall & it's perfect for a date night . read more

I was in town for work and found this restaurant here! Shocker!!!! they had a great variety of wines and some delectable cocktails! I had the Sauvi B and my friends had the Tequila Fix and Ginger Juice. All wonderful! We started with the shishito peppers and Brussels. Both delicious! My friend got the pork chop and he said it was the best he ever had! I had the radiatori primavera and it was incredible! A few others had the dis special which was bland. Overall, the service, Atmospere, and ambiance were great!! I would go back if I lived there. read more

I came here for the first time with some acquaintances (book club meeting). They had us seated in an area that was private, which allowed us to speak amongst ourselves. Dawson was our waiter and he was very nice and patient. Overall, the restaurant was very spacious and fairly mellow. I ordered one drink, and we shared a few apps. I really, really enjoy Sixty Vines. They have some of the best brussel sprouts I've had and their service is always top notch!! It's right in uptown, easy to get to, spacious and super cute/trendy inside. I just can't get past the health rating :( I'm really looking forward to going back once all of that gets figured out. We (party of two) visited Sixty Vines on a whim because the place we intended to dine at had a line out the door. It was just too cold for that. When we arrived the hostess informed us that the next available table would be open at 930. Mind you it was 6pm. The manager or assistant manager walked over and asked if we had been helped. We said yes, however the wait was long so we were looking for openings at the bar. This manager went above and beyond, walked to the bars, found where there was a short wait, invited us to sit in the lounge area and as soon as the seats open (10 minutes wait) he walked us over to the bar and came back several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Then the bartender was amazing. She was patient and very knowledgeable about the menu, recommending personal favorites and best sellers. The food was fantastic. Very flavorful and fresh but not over seasoned. The wine selection was great. We ordered a fun red. The dessert was also very good. The ambience was chill romantic but fun. It's an open space so it can be elevated chatter however it's not overwhelming. I would highly recommend this location just on service alone however everything was fantastic. We always love it here. My friends and I went to the galentines brunch and the food was great! They had a delicious mimosa bar set up and the server was so cute and sweet. Really nice, open, airy and bright space. We had a large group, and our server was efficient and helpful with wine selections. A huge wine menu, all of which are served in various glass sizes and all of which are served "on tap." We had a sampling of nearly all the small plates including a couple of cheese and salumi plates. High marks went to the wood roasted cauliflower, the burrata and the fried brussels sprouts. read more

I ate here with my sister when I was in town visiting. The restaurant had so much seating but was packed so we grabbed seats at the bar. Our bartender was amazing. She was attentive and caring, I don't remember her name but she was wearing a white shirt with hearts in it during our visit. She had great food recommendations and we ordered what she recommended. 10/10 flavor and portion sizes. My favorite was the pork chop. They made the best pork chop I have ever had. Even though on my last visit with a group of friends they did not enjoy their main dish as much as I did, I still will recommend this place. I have had both burgers and recently the roasted chicken pasta with pesto sauce and they all were excellent. I don't drink too much vine but with such a nice decor why not have a glass or two of vino. The patio is very nice as well and I can imagine during the summer this will be a hard location to get a seat in. Check you all next time read more
