About five years ago I found someone local who was able to work with my full brows. She had a one-style-fits-all approach for brows that happened to work for my brows. But then I started noticing that depending on her mood, she would take too much hair off or overarch my eyebrows. Then our schedules were hard for me to schedule appointments. So eight months ago I was on the search for another brow artist. I found one through Yelp in NYC close to my job and stuck with her for 5 months hoping that she would be able to one day get the shape right. After 5 months of money down the drain, I searched for another local brow artist on Yelp and found Cynthia. I was praying to the brow gods to help me out. After months of inconsistent eyebrows and not feeling my best (I already mentioned I'm an eyebrow feign), in one session I felt like a brand new woman. I'm so happy I found Cynthia and a bonus is she's super close to my house. I've never written a review for either of my past two eyebrow ladies because I felt that although I liked my brows, something wasn't right about them. They were either too arched or too thin. Let me tell you something-I've gotten a fair amount of spray tans, and I have to say, I'd definitely go back to her, and definitely do this solution because it looked so natural, so even, and I had the chance/ability to get this done late on a Friday afternoon, let it set for 2 hours, rinse, board an 11 hour flight and still have it look like when I landed. Two weeks ago, I had my lips dissolved with my preferred specialist, Monica, and booked a refill appointment for October 4 at 12pm with Kelly (since Monica was out of office). I started my commute from NYC to the Verona location, but found it odd I never received a reminder -- so I called, only to learn that my appointment was never actually booked, despite scheduling it over the phone 2.5 weeks ago. They managed to squeeze me in later in the day with Megan. However, when I arrived just five minutes past their 10-minute grace period (after calling ahead to let them know I'd be slightly late), I was told I had missed my appointment and the most she could offer was a conversation -- not the actual service. I found this incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially given the effort it takes to travel from NYC without a car, and the fact that I've been a loyal client for years. It's unfortunate to end things on this note, but I can no longer recommend Montclair Rejuvenation Center after today's experience.

Belinda explained the history behind the haircut, the purpose of good products; she didn't push the brand products on me, either; she wanted to see how my hair would react to my normal styling products first (though I'm going back to purchase the Ouidad products soon - they're GREAT), and the importance of a diffuser for my hairstyle.
