I walk in completely curious as to how the process works and she spent about 20 minutes explaining and touring each bed and answering any questions I had. I wish I got her name! She was completely transparent as I had a fear of my sensitive skin burning. She offered to help me throughout the process and I could have not imagined a better service. Sometimes, I take my kids to bubble tea next door and he'll come out and say "hi" or wave...everyone here is great. The beds are well maintained and they have a really good variety of types to chose from. Sometimes I feel like relaxing and do the 20 min bed, and other days I'm in a rush and use the fast ones. They have a stand up one that is my favorite, it just feels more natural to me to stand. I've done a good amount of research, looking at actual peer reviewed data on which one is healthier and it seems shorter more frequent exposure is better, this makes sense as it allows your melanocytes (the cells that respond to UV) time to make melanin. I used to get pretty depressed in the winter. My hormones were fine, my vit-d was good, everything was "normal" according to my doctor. Then, one day while working out I heard a guy talking about why he tans. Long story short I decided to try it. What a difference it makes, I pretty much tell anyone who will listen. But, just like anything else you want to use the minimum effective dose. So go easy, especially on your first few sessions.

The tanning products are very reasonable with their prices. So if you ever in the Goshen area definitely check them out. I'm excited to see my results as I'm someone who don't get much outside time to go to a pool or beach do to work so this will definitely help. They are closed on Sundays but they are open Mon-Sat and their hours are pretty good. They have the stand up tanning ( which I don't like) but they also have the bed you can lay down in and just relax lol. So check them out if you in the area

Walking in the location is really spacious and organized which was nice to see. The front desk employee (who is also responsible for cleaning beds / rooms and answering the phone) was a 10/10 when it came to being cool as a cucumber and still keeping customer service top of mind because when I tell you she had to juggle customers walking in, customers calling on the phone and cleaning up, she did all of the above seamlessly and so professionally. The rooms themselves were clean and neat and had hooks for your clothes and a stool / chair which was convenient. I definitely recommend them if you want quality and great service.

But again her leader said that that is what's part of the program ! I don't doubt this at all all. I don't see how this is her fault when her leaders are telling her to lie and manipulate .... I could just imagine the amount of pressure she's under. She doesn't own the business so the reason she is forceful is because they are forcing her. It looks like Wells Fargo only in tanning world. The sessions are appropriately priced. My only criticisms are I wish I could just press the start button inside the bed instead of having to wait for the lights to come on or pressing the blue button that's on the wall. It would also be convenient to be able to keep a bottle of lotion there but I get it. Space is a premium and people leave it and probably forget they left it there. Other than that it's pretty good. I haven't done the spray in this location so I can't review it. But they do offer it along with red light therapy in what looks like a giant shell.

I asked for clarification regarding the steep recurring costs because it did not align with the information online and what I was "sold" when signing up in store. However, the staff gave me confusing information with no clear explanation or support throughout the process beside stating that it was what I agreed to within my contract and that tanning is a luxury service. Additionally, I have not had a good experience with the bulbs in Beach Bum's beds. I regularly tanned for three months and after a few weeks of not going in, I am already back to my original color. Even worse, I have white, pigmented circles all over my chest and shoulders. They are concerning. (I am aware that I willingly went to the tanning beds and this is a risk of my decision, but it is unfortunate and not something I have experienced at other tanning salons/beds.) Brittany, the manager, was kind enough to contact me in regard to my concerns once I voiced my frustrations with the company as well as cancel my membership on the spot.
