UPDATE: 12/20/23: They lost the rear caliper bolt. Had to have it towed to a dealership mechanic to look it over, after its cost me $600 to fix the front caliper. If you value your life, stay away from this place. UPDATE: 12/17/23: Caliper fell off while driving, as you can see all the overspray. Owner doesn't stand by his work and won't make things right. He told me to come back the next Saturday after the job to do touch up work. Showed up at the shop and he ducked my calls and doors are locked during business hours. Less than a week later, paint is cracking, vinyl wrap is bubbling, not to mention all the overspray. How can there be overspray on a dust shield from caliber paint when they have to be removed to be power coated? Maybe because they were just spray painted. read more

Jon at SJ Customs has been a pleasure to work with! The work he has done on my truck has been outstanding not matter how big or small of job from a 2 inch leveling kit to my Vinyl decals down to installing my badges and all else in between. His prices are reasonable, but the best part is that after several weeks of doing mods I have come to trust him that he does what he says he is going to do and listen to my instructions; now I feel like I am talking truck shop with a friend on what I want done. Had my windows tinted here after getting a referral from someone on base. After finding minor bubbling in the front windshield tint Jon agreed without hesitation to fix it along with the front driver window and rear passenger window again because of minor, but noticeable bubbles. During the removal process of the front window tint, which according to Jon, they use degreaser and 91% alcohol, the dash obviously was not wiped down. Whatever was used and sat on the dash obviously pulled the color out of the dash and left me with this watermarking. The trim around the rearview mirror was also bleached (Jon seemed to think it was adhesive). After sending Jon these pictures he told me to swing by and it would be taken care of. Upon seeing it in person he said " yeah this never should have left the shop like this. That guy doesn't work here anymore." Which weeks later with this still be unresolved, it came up that Jon said that he did the removal and he didn't know who this "mystery guy" is that I was saying did this after me stating that I know this sucks as a business owner because you didn't actually do it but someone still needs to be held responsible. So that story didn't line up.... Anyways, first attempt to fix it the rearview mirror trim was "fixed" they re-dyed it but in the sun you can still see the light spots. The "fix" the first time for the dash was to put a high gloss dressing all over the dash. I left it on there for a week but after taking a damp micro fiber towel that I wrung out and wiped off that crazy high gloss dressing there was no change. After telling Jon this he had me bring it in again and have a detailer work on it but still no change. There's so many more little details to this story but in the end because none of this detail work helped fixed the dash, Jon is now denying responsibility. I've gotten excuses such as, " how do I know it wasn't there before" and "it looks like greasy finger marks here" "I don't know you better from the next guy how do I know your not lying" and so on. Now I've had to get Coast Guard legal involved to help rectify this. I'm not a professional detailer but I'm a big car enthusiast with my garage queen and even the daily drivers so I've done my fair share of detailing, paint corrections etc. and honestly my gut reaction when I first saw the dash was it's going to have to get re-dyed. Shitty situation and even worse now Jon is denying responsibility. This seems like one of those shops where they kind of do everything but for window tinting I do not recommend this place.
