I had a breakdown near the Wondo River Bridge. Contacted Sea Island, which is relatively close and they got a truck to my location in a little under 20 mins. The driver was kind, funny, and quirky. He likes his job and he has stories to tell. He got the car loaded in 5 mins and we were off! We actually had a little fun on the ride to the drop-off point with our driver. We squared up at the mechanic garage we requested delivery to and it was a fair price especially considering it was a holiday weekend. Thanks, Woody! 10/10 would recommend.

They said I needed a new TIPM. When I called two days later (before leaving work to pick the car up) they said I didn't need a new TIPM but a new a/c actuator and the car would be ready in a few days. The cost decreased but the car would not start the next day after picking it up. They rewired something so that the fuel pump was on constantly. Also, the problems that led me to get the car worked on originally were still there. Charleston Auto Electric told me that I had leaking valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets. They are not leaking and another garage confirmed this. I paid over $500 for Charleston Auto Electric to fix nothing, cause more problems, and yell at me in the lobby when I pointed out that they had communication problems and that my flat tire was not repaired. I had another location scan the Tire Pressure Monitor that Charleston Auto Electric said was not working. It works perfectly Another garage fixed all of this locations' errors, and they did it for less. If the owner reads this, please contact me. I would love to fill you in on what is happening in this location.

At JTs', they were courteous and looked at the car. They just had too much work to be able to do the job at this time - they said all the shops in the area were really busy. The receptionist said an estimate was $50 and would apply to the work. I said I wanted someone to just take a look at the car to let me know if they would even do the work and see if they would even have the time for it. I didn't want to pay $50 if they wouldn't even do the work or have the time. "The car's parked just outside, I just want someone to see if you will even do it". But she wasn't having any of that, said "We're good", essentially meaning goodbye and go. I said "Thanks for the HELP" and left. Empathy and morality now lack in the automotive world, at Lex Tech that is not the case. I like to turn my own wrench, and rarely trust anybody to work on my vehicle - my vehicle was making a noise I could not diagnose other than my own intuition, and wanted to verify what the problem was before throwing parts at my Tundra. Glenn (Owner) and his mechanic were honest, transparent, and knowledgeable about everything - but more so were honest on pricing and avoided any hidden costs, fee's, markups, etc. to get me rolling once more. There are not many shops that will give you ALL options on how to move forward with a repair, but LexTech does exactly that. The part prices are "steep" - but they are all Toyota factory Original Equipment. There is an age old saying "buy once, cry once" - the factory parts serve the legendary reliability of Toyota justice, there is a reason the owner provides this option. Glenn the owner is great, customer service above all else. I wish all shops operated with this level of service, quality, and honesty.
