The experience there was top…read more I wanted a second pair of boots, but didn't have space in my luggage to pack them, so I went to this Joliet location when I returned to Chicago. They have a large selection of boots like the location in Rochester. I found a pair of square toe shoes, like boots I had decades ago. They came home with me, of course. Service at this location is kind of thin. At the Rochester location, there was someone at the door to greet you when you came in and there were several clerks on the floor. Seems like there were only two at this location and they were at the front of the store off to the side. I didn't see any floor staff until I walked to the cashier to pay. Joliet is a bit of a distance from where I live, so I may order online. With this purchase being consistent with fitting, I am confident that I can order any other boots from their online store and receive them without any problems related to size. Only if I'm in the vicinity of any of the locations in the Greater Chicago Area will I go to a brick-and-mortar store for a purchase. For boots, this will be my store until I get introduced to another boot store.

I waited in line until they finished serving the other customers, I had to tell them that I have a return. The first person who's at the register went out her area and didn't even look at me until I said I have a return. She just said "oh, yeah" then pointed at the other guy in the other register. So again I waited for the other guy to finish helping the other customer. I know the guy saw me and heard what i said to the lady at the first register but he was also going to get out from where his register is until I said I have a return. He moved slowly to the other register where I was standing close to and the look on his face just says he doesn't want to help me. He spoke on his radio looking at the other staff helping a customer with shoes and told him that there is a return. I gave 2 stars because their online store has more bigger and extra wide size selections. Zero star for customer service.

Ramon's was the second place I tried and both gave me comparable estimates for new leather straps - $65! That's actually more than the bag costed, but since it's a set, I decided to suck up the cost and have it done. Ramon's has good customer service, they gave me a reasonable date for when the work would be completed and they did a good job with the straps. I didn't care for having to pay in cash vs. being able to use my credit card - but aside from that, I'd say overall it was good.

I looked on yelp and found this business, gave them a call and brought them in that day. The owner did such an incredible job at fixing the shoes. I wish I could have taken before pictures, but I did take after ones. I am so beyond happy, he also got them done in a very reasonable time. Thanks so much for fixing my shoes.
