I was told to check the store out by. podiatrist. I have had foot problems for 30 years. Unfortunately many more health problems now. Steve is very knowledgeable and great service. He fitted me and then suggested I try 3 pair. I purchased one and added insoles. I would highly recommend. read more

Rude terrible service. Didn't even TRY to offer help. Walked up with attitude and got upset when I said I was just looking. I saw a pair I wanted, grabbed it and asked for a size 10. Outstanding customer support through Calvin and Caroline who were able to hunt a pair of NB shoes for my wife when I couldn't find them ANYWHERE in her size. Plus they had them sent to the Naperville store. Store personnel called me when they arrived and we picked them up. Pleasant, helpful and polite is how I would describe the personnel without exception. They went out their way to help me and that matters. While the Naperville store is not the closest to me I will go out of my way to shop there now that I have first hand experience dealing with them. read more

Went here on my doctors order to get fitted for shoes after ankle surgery. Terry who I spoke to on the phone helped me out and he was super friendly and so was his trainee? Jack he called her (maybe Jackie? She was great too) his knowledge of the foot and the shoes was amazing, unparalleled even. I got shoes for myself and my mother(he could tell almost instantly her feet were not in the right size shoes) he took care of both of us today and I would recommend this store to anyone surgery or not. I'm a new runner and I'd heard some good things about this place. Boy, was I disappointed! My cousin was helped right away but I was still waiting for someone to say hello. I finally asked an employee if she could help me and she gave me a rude look and asked how she could help me. Not a good start. I told her I was a new runner and she had me stand on a mat that would show me how my weight was distributed on my feet. After looking at the screen, I asked if that was good. She said not so much, then proceeded to tell me I had flat feet. UHM, NO. I absolutely know I DO NOT have flat feet. She then pawned me off on another employee who was much nicer than her. He told me the pros and cons of the different shoes and had me try some. But I was already turned off by the previous employee. I walked out of there without shoes and knowing that I will never come back. read more

I recently started wearing a foot and ankle brace and needed new shoes to fit the brace. I have been to New Balance before, and liked their product and service, so I decided to give them a try again. I was immediately greeted by Gideon. He spent almost an hour with me and helped me find a great shoe that would work with the brace. He was quite knowledgeable about the shoe and about what would work best with my brace, and made some good suggestions along the way. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price for these shoes! I also learned that, if you are purchasing shoes specifically for medical reasons (like to fit a brace), there is a 10% discount. New Balance has hit the sweet spot when it comes to customer service. Medical discounts, 30-day return, mixed shoe sizes, etc. This particular store is staffed with outstanding knowledgeable, helpful people. I wouldn't bother shopping anywhere else. I normally don't have the time to author Yelp reviews since my job as a litigation attorney is very demanding from a time standpoint, however the employees at this particular store location are simply astonishing in their drive for perfection and in particular getting the right fit for my running shoes..Stephen Miroballi is the Store Manger and he is amazing..I have had trouble for years getting fitted and finally Steve did it. Yes in fact I have been a competitive runner for thirty years and in fact I have run a half marathon in Naperville to raise funds for the Kroehler YMCA. Although I FINISHED towards the end of the race, I was ahead of the people who never tried and the YMCA was the beneficiary of my efforts. I get two new pairs of walking shoes every spring. Though we are sheltering in place, I still like to get my walks in. I always go to the store on 59 and 95 in Naperville. Called New Balance in Naperville today and was able to order my shoes (they are recommended by my podiatrist) and my information was in the computer so they are shipping the shoes, free of charge to me. I have never been happy with a store than this one. The shoes are worth every penny that they cost and I have not have problems with my feet since wearing them. read more

I've never been into a new balance store and wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff was great. My husbands feet had been killing him for weeks, so we were hoping to find a shoe that would relieve the pain. The staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Mykkel had excellent customer service and was very patient with us. (We brought our 2 kids with us Bored and Thirsty.) He asked so many questions so that he could recommend the perfect shoe, and had answers to all of our questions. Perry also didn't hesitate to offer exercises to do to help with my husband's heel discomfort. We've never purchased/looked at New Balance shoes, but ended up buying a pair plus inserts. After this great experience I will be looking for my own pair of New Balance in the near future. read more

If you are a runner and a fan of New Balance shoes, you have undoubtedly been in New Balance stores before. This is a great locally owned store that specializes in New Balance running (and walking) shoes, with a small selection of clothes and accessories like fancy socks and supportive items. I was just browsing this weekend and actually had only come to the store to support my boyfriend (a non-runner) in his attempt at finding some comfortable sneakers. To make a long story short, somehow I ended up buying a new pair of shoes AND orthotic inserts. Go ahead and laugh, hey, I'm on my feet all day! The salesperson was definitely trying to sell stuff, but I didn't feel that she was pushy or trying to sell too hard. Quite the opposite, she was friendly and helpful. New Balance has a new machine that a person can stand on - the machine has a tv-like screen with an infared picture of you feet. It tells you what type of orthotics would fit your feet the best based on the arch and size of your foot. And let me tell you, after doing a shoe test with/without the inserts, the inserts make a huge difference, in a good way. Great store, great service, we went home with enough coupons to get $30 off our next purchase. And happy feet to boot. read more

I also had a chance to work with Kurt Bell (Manager), who is a phenomenal guy! He def. knows his stuff. Very disappointed with our New Balance experience. Ordered the recommended shoes based on fitting for my son who has wide, fairly flat, feet. My husband went with him to get them fitted & I was shocked when they brought them home. They were so loose along the heel that my son could literally walk right out of them. My husband took them back & was told that we just weren't lacing them up correctly. So we've now laced them up "correctly" aka so tight they won't fall off, and my son is getting painful blisters on the bottom of his foot. This has never happened before. I believe the shoe should have been a smaller size, but wider, and that they were unwilling to admit an error. These shoes cost over $100. I'm incredibly disappointed and lost trust with this New Balance location. read more
