I pulled my money out and she immediately stated "what's going on here" this seems illegal and "you don't have your own money or enough money". I went to report the hostility and comments to her manager (Jeff). My husband continued his purchase while I spoke with Jeff. Jeff then states he would speak to her because she is a little "rough" around the edges. I left the store and my husband called saying the manager put a block on his name for 30 days due to suspected Straw sale. This didn't happen until I reported he poor customer service skills. My husband collects firearms as this would have been his 5th purchase from Academy. He has never had an issue until meeting Katie and Jeff. To add insult to injury he started saying we are being "aggressive". The discrimination just kept going. We are filing a formal complaint as this was unacceptable.
