We chose the blue course, and it had lots of cool, challenging obstacles, including sand and rock traps, and water traps too! It was late summer, so the leaves were beginning to fall, but they must use a leaf blower often because the greens only had a few tiny leaves here and there which didn't interfere at all. We had no problem getting our disabled daughter through the course in her large jogger stroller. There was a lot of mature shade trees, and even colored, shade banners strategically placed offering even more shade. The balls float, and they have special tools placed near each water trap to retrieve the balls. They have ice cream and more tables nearby which we thoroughly enjoyed afterwards.

My little ones were engaged the entire time, bouncing between exhibits and coming back to do things on repeat. The water table on the second floor was a huge hit (dam building = instant obsession), the crawl-through body exhibit had them giggling the whole way through, and the immersive hall with the giant projector and the orchestra activity where they put their faces into the performers? They talked about that the whole ride home. We timed our visit to catch the 3 o'clock otter feeding and training, definitely worth planning around. Maybe 30 people gathered and it was totally manageable and really sweet to watch. What surprised me most was how engaged I was as an adult. I was genuinely learning things alongside my kids, which is not always the case at these types of places. It felt appropriate and interesting for every age in our group. A few things to know before you go: follow the directions on their website for the specific parking garage , it's about a 5-minute walk and was only $5 for us. Strollers and wagons are totally doable with elevators throughout. They also have a café if you want to make a full day of it, and rotating special exhibits (always check the website ahead of time so you know what's on and whether it fits your crew). We stayed about two and a half hours and left happy. Already thinking about when we're coming back.

The room is straightforward but challenging and fits the theme perfectly. All the puzzles flowed well, keeping our group of seven stumped at times until the very end. Twisted Escapes is great with turnaround times and opening a new room while keeping the current ones running for at least a year or two. That's impressive, considering it takes weeks to plan the theme, puzzles, and design the room. They seem to have a good balance of keeping the rooms fresh while welcoming new players to try out new experiences at least once a year. The owners, Frank and Katie, are wonderful. They know us because we've done almost all the escape rooms they offer and took the time afterward to ask how we liked the room and what we thought could be improved in the next ones. If you're into escape rooms, I highly recommend checking out these rooms at Twisted Escapes. Whether you're a puzzle whiz or not, you'll have a blast trying to solve one and escape!
