I've been coming here since I moved to Port Murray in 2004. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I got lost and caught up in the game and didn't realize my bowling tab was up to $50 one night and they took sympathy on me and gave me a few free game vouchers. I went here with my wife, 2 kids and also 2 cousins. We couldn't have had a better time. The outside of the establishment could use some work but the inside was loud and busy (which is obviously good for a bowling alley). The screens were technologically up to date and you could even take a picture of yourself to play as a character for bowling. The food was good (burgers, hot dogs, fries and drinks). I like going here because I can buy beer and bowl with the boys but they are always having leagues and never enough free lanes. The seating is also fucked. Like it has depth with seating but the seating is focused on only one side of the split lanes so if you get the one without seats, you kind of have to sit farther back from the screens which is annoying. The blonde lady was also rude to me. I sat there for a while trying to get my shoes back while she and the fella were trying a sales pitch on some young guys. I just wanted my damn shoes. The bowling alley is great though! The alley tech is new and I think the wireless is slow. But it's fun, you can take your pictures, learn stats, etc. Even the arcade looked pretty sweet. It had new games, and they have these cool things for kids shaped like tanks & dinosaurs for them to be able to drop the ball from instead of trying to throw it. Definitely family friendly, and the rest of my party ate the food, and seemed ok after. So it's probably fine. They played fun top 40 music, and I would go again! read more

first of all my sister, friends and I went there on a saturday night and they closed at 12 am not 1 am and my sister left her phone there and we noticed when we already left we went back and the lady with the grey bob cut was just about leaving and we told her that there was a phone inside and she told us there wasn't a phone inside and but my sister and i just wanted to double check cause that's the only place it would be cause we just left their and she told us that she checked everywhere before she left and their was no phone so she just took off in her car and left which i know she didn't check because my friends were kind enough to clean up our area and put all our bowling balls away before we left she didnt even let us double check just to make sure but my sisters find my iphone is sayings it's literally there at the bowling alley. Also very disappointed as it came to around 12 am and we were finishing our last round they started to turn everything off and turned the music down like we weren't even there if you aren't open till 1 am on a saturday night i suggest changing your hours on yelp and google i wouldn't go here if you are looking for a good time and good service circle lanes in ledgewood is a much better and nicer place and are actually open till the time it says online read more

The food and service were great at this place! I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, it was very good! The drink selection is also very good at the bar, I just had a Coors light and it was not flat and very tasty. Do not go here unless you want to get attitude from the two ladies that work there. We come here twice a week with a group of 10 or 12 to try and support a local business. We try and come Monday nights when we don't work for a fun night and every time we come we have trouble with the staff. The two women that work there particularly. We always call before we come to make a reservation and we never get in on our time. Monday night there is a league so they tell us we have to wait until 9pm to bowl. When we get there at 8:30 to wait, there are always 6-7 lanes available with nobody there. The ladies are constantly rude to us and make us sit and wait at a table away from the counter. We waited for 20 minutes past our reservation while other people next to us that we knew bowled with no reservation and were let in right away. The ladies at the counter do not like us for some reason. They were rude and yelled at us for bringing water in, they then yelled at us for playing another game halfway through it at 10:20 because they close at 10:30. Everyone next to us was still playing. We are just targeted constantly and it ruins our experience. We loved going here because the lanes really are great and it's a great place. But when we are constantly getting attitude from the ladies that work there it ruins the experience. read more

People there are extremely rude and are scam artist. The advertisements are completely wrong. It advertises food is cheap on Quartermania days but the food shuts down before 9pm which is when Quartermania starts! It used to be a great place, but now it sucks! I noticed someone on here commented about the blonde lady being rude. And that she is. I had taken teens with autism for rita's ice and then we went to the bowling alley. We barely got past the front door and she was up in our faces barking that there was no outside food allowed and I heard some other looser chime in that there was a big sign outside. So we left. I was watching the boys for the week and we went back on Friday for lack of anything else to do. Thank god that woman was not there, however, when I asked one of the kids that worked there if we could put the bumpers up he said they really aren't supposed to for people over 8. Wait, what???? If I just paid for a game and I want freaking bumpers up, put them up!!! I just told them they have autism and you need to put the bumpers up. Located in the heart of Warren County, Oakwood specializes in customer care. While my child with autism was melting, I never felt it was a space we couldn't be. Mary, worked hard to correct a mistake made and called to confirm when it was complete. She also stood up to another patron when they commented on my special needs daughter. Oakwood Lanes is a great bowling alley. Sure it doesn't look like it has been updated in 20-30 years, but there is more to it than meets the eye. The center is a decent size, prices are not bad, glow bowling on weekends, and its probably the only thing to do in Washington. What makes this place stand out is the Owner and the people that work there. They reall do care and will always try and help. If you are a league bowler this is the spot you should go to. Great place for a birthday party! We had a glow bowling party to celebrate my girls turning 3 and 5 and were extremely happy with the experience, start to finish! The staff were all easy going, professionals, and extremely helpful. The girls who worked as our party hosts did absolutely everything possible to make the day special for our girls, down to hand making each of them a birthday card! The prices were more than reasonable, and all of the kids and adults had a great time. It was refreshing to know you can still get amazing customer service and a special birthday experience without paying a fortune. Actually this place has pretty good food...not what you would expect from a bowling alley! My husband likes the steaks...the crab cake pasta dish is good! I had a fish dish once that was below average.The nachos not so great! We had my sons 7th birthday party here today. He wanted to invite his classmates (1st grade) and I didn't know all of the kids or parent for that matter. I was a little nervous inviting 14 kids, however I am So happy I chose to have our party at Oakwood lanes! Super accommodating, fun, and easy going! The kids had a blast glow bowling and playing in the arcade. I was blown away with the attentiveness of the party attendants as well! Thank you Sarah and Paige for all of your patience and kindness!
