Great spot for a quick breakfast. It's a smaller dining room but the service is always quick. I also appreciate that when you order a coffee it comes in a nice big cup. Lots of holes with uneven-wavy-choppy greens that have seen way too many seasons and probably needed to be replaced five years ago. I also can't forget the carpet or two with moss? on it, tree droppings or the one or two where at night you're playing almost into darkness in the one corner of the course. Now with this comes a context check. This course has neither the design, degree of difficulty, location or really anything that makes it special. I don't want to use the "D" word and say it's a dump because it's not but at the same time let's talk ROI. The adult price here is $6 per round. For $5.95 you can play a round at Putt U. Pretty much end of the discussion right there as to where you should be playing. This doesn't even begin to discuss the nickel and dime pricing at Oasis which is the only course in the area that does children's pricing based on height and not on age. The standard more or less everywhere is twelve and under for kids pricing. Here's it's the BS arbitrary tool of being 4 feet 10 inches or less. That's as asinine as Disney on their dining plan charging ten year olds adult pricing. Look, there are always going to be the foaming homers who are attached to places like this because it's either in their backyard or because they've been "coming here forever" but if you're looking to get the most bang for your buck or to have the best possible experience play at Putt U or Two T's or even at Bear Rock Junction just think twice because it's not here. Went in for a quick lunch. Menu was not great to start, but when we reluctantly ordered something, the food was lousy when it came. $4.25 side salad was bagged lettuce with 2 onion slices and 2 tomato slices. Burger was dry, overcooked and somehow came without cheese. When it was "fixed," it came back with a cold slice of cheese on it. My chicken bacon ranch cheesesteak had ranch dressing all over the outside of the roll, and fell apart and fell onto my lap and then onto the seat. Holes are about what you'd expect; nothing too challenging and a few easy ones. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of water features or scenery pretty basic, yet nothing at all wrong with it. The grounds are in OK shape. However, I don't image that the course is handicapped friendly. The course is also a bit tiring since you are climbing stairs up and down for a good deal of the course. While the grounds are decent, you can easily hear the noise from the main road often, which can be a bit distracting. Climbing up the course and going into caves and the waterfalls was cool for the kids. The course did not get boring which often happens playing. Plenty of parking along the side. read more

We stopped in on a Sunday right between breakfast and lunch crowd. This place was loaded (which I always take as a good sign). You seat yourself. We were given menus and drinks right away (We chose breakfast). Being it was so busy it did take a little to get our order taken. Pretty good coffee for a diner, was definitely fresh. Food took a bit long to arrive ~20 minutes, which is a bit long for an omelet and an order of sos. But it was hot and big portions. Not sure how they maker the cream sauce for the sos but there is definitely onion powder and garlic powder in there ( which there shouldn't be) it wasn't bad but definitely not the way it's supposed to be. Hubby liked his omelet. Home fries were average diner HF. Our server was a nice women, attentive even though her side was packed. Restaurant eating area was clean and well maintained. Went on a Thursday morning for breakfast. We were told to seat ourself, but, all tables were either taken or still had dirty dishes on them from the previous guests. It was a free for all of customers walking around looking for somewhere to sit. Finally I cleaned off a table on my own and sit down. Took a good 10 minutes for the waitress to come over with menus and ask for our drink order. Another almost 15 minutes to come back for our order. The food came quickly, but, we had to ask for 2 items that were missing. Asked for coffee refill and it came way after breakfast was eaten. No creamer although we asked for that too. The kicker, the wrong plate was placed in front of me, but, I didn't realize it wasn't the omelette I ordered until I cut into it. The waitress literally came over to our table, said that wasn't mine, took it from me & gave it to the lady at the next table. Mind you, I already put salt and pepper on the home fries and cut into the omelette. Gross! So- I've been going here about a year now (from my first review)- sometimes for dinner- and mostly for breakfast on Sunday mornings. If you go in the evenings after suppertime (usually Fri or Sat)- be sure and ask what time they are going to close. They may say that they close at nine - but they almost turn the lights off on you at 8... and don't even try to come in at 8 o'clock in order food - you can see the crestfallen looks on the waitresses faces... For breakfast on Sundays - good luck on thinking you're going to have any time for conversation with your party! They try to hustle you in and out as fast as possible; (I get it that some people linger to only leave a dollar tip or only order $10 worth of food - but not everyone does that). I also have found-that if you place an order for takeout - you actually get smaller portion then if you order the food at your table - and then pack it up yourself. I've lived by this establishment for 15 years and have never tried it. I decided to give it a go using DoorDash. I ordered a Caesar salad that ended up being iceberg lettuce and carrots with Caesar dressing and croutons with no chicken on it which it states in the menu that chicken is included. I also ordered the char grilled lemon chicken which had absolutely no lemon flavor to it at all. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Also ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti for dinner later on the chicken was really good and the spaghetti was al dente and very good but I don't know what kind of tomato sauce they use but it's the darkest sauce I've ever seen it almost looked and tasted like it was mixed with barbecue sauce and some brown sugar it had a sweetness to it. I scraped off all the sauce I could and added Parmesan cheese to it to make it better. This meal would be completely banging if it had a really good tomato sauce on it. Portion sizes are nice size. I paid for 4 people, realized that my 2-yr old and 5-yr old would need lots of attention, so on the 1st hole I asked for a refund ($6) since I wouldn't be golfing, but would be helping my kids through the course instead. I explained and asked the manager (owner?) for a refund. He scowled at me and offered (gave) me a free pass for another day. I didn't want a free pass, I wanted a refund! On the course, he was power washing a green and caused us to skip 3 holes. The course was boring, didn't have the creek running. And on the course, "weeds" are growing in place of flowers or landscaping. For what it costs, it's not worth it. Shame, I remembered going there as a kid. There are other, better places. Have been stopping at the Oasis for the past 2 Wednesday mornings, for breakfast, meeting up with several retirees. Breakfast has always been good, as well as the service. We usually order omelets and included with an omelet order is a glass or orange juice. I did not realize, until I got home, that none of us received orange juice.
