I wanted to like Sken but I'm really disappointed in the quality of their treatment and their customer service. I received Botox and it made my face completely lopsided. They promised "free corrections" so I tried scheduling a follow up, and they cancelled it the day of due to some issue. I rescheduled the appointment and again they cancelled on me the day of the appointment. I tried rescheduling a 3rd time and it was obvious the staff had zero interest or concern in helping me. They kept ignoring my messages and nobody followed up. Will not be going back. read more

I got two rounds of lip filler here around a month apart and was very pleased with the results. I've gotten my lips done at several other medspas and this was the best work I've received. 4 stars because it was not only more expensive than other medspas I've been to, but also because I was completely caught off guard when I was asked to leave a tip after I paid. While the work was beautiful, I've never been asked to tip at any medspa before. Seeing the recommended 20% - 35% tip options felt so excessive after paying over $800 for a 1ml syringe. LOCATION: Sken Spa is so conveniently located around the corner from my place in Clarendon. Finally, I don't have to go so far to get to a med spa! Its easy to get to and the office is immaculate and modern. I like their style so they get an A+ from me. FACIAL: I got my first ever dermal fusion facial, and I have never had a facial with lasting results like this one. Daniel did my facial and infused it with the Vitamin C serum, leaving my skin glowing and getting compliments on my skin all week. My skin felt and looked flawless/glowing for over a month from a single facial before I felt I needed to do another amazing exfoliation or facial. I I highly recommend getting this facial. CUSTOMER SERVICE/ PROFESSIONALISM: Every person I met at this location is so nice and professional. They actually care about their customers and the suggest the best services/treatments for the client and aren't pushy salesmen, which I really appreciate. PRODUCT: I purchased the pigment bar which helps skin with hyper pigmentation, which I have and haven't found the right product to tackle it, but this product is supposed to do the trick. The Sken Spa is a great spa oasis in Arlington, it's in a great location close to Clarendon, Ballston, and Pentagon City. I have visited the spa several times for dermaplaning, dermal infusion treatments, and for back pain; each time the service has been impeccable and the estheticians have provided long-term skin care options. Wow. This place is a gem! I found it after doing a TON of research on many places. It was about a 30 minute drive from my house, but totally worth it. As soon as I waked in the door I was welcomed and felt at ease. Everything is appealing to the eye inside. I was explained everything and given many options for my lip fillers. I didn't feel like anyone was trying to sell me something - or up sell me. I ended up getting a lip flip on top of the lip injections. I have come to Sken Spa a few times now and it has become my favorite medical spa in the DC Metro area! Not only is the service amazing but I always learn something new about skin care or improving my skin (like incorporating hyaluronic acid into my daily skin regimen). I have done the "vampire" facial with Dr. Mina Popal and am very happy with my results. I had some acne scarring on my cheeks and the microneedling has significantly improved the texture and look of my skin on the areas where I had scarring. After each of my facials, Dr. Popal has always followed up with me to make sure my skin was healing properly. I would send her pictures daily of my skin documenting the healing process. Is that amazing, personal service or what?!?! I definitely like that Dr. Popal is conservative in her treatment, she will not recommend you for any treatment or product if you do not need it. She really cares about her clients and offering individualized treatment to all of them. Also, not only is Dr. Popal incredibly knowledgeable about skincare, she is a wonderful, kind-hearted individual. I always feel so comfortable at Sken Spa and look forward to my visits. On my last visit I brought my mom for a treatment and was blown away again by Dr. Popal's professionalism and service. I arrived at Sken for my scheduled appointment time, completed paperwork, and then they put me under the steamer for 15 min(!), while I waited for the esthetician. The steamer expired, and I waited in the room for another 10 min doing...nothing. The esthetician arrived in the room and began the Diamond Glow facial, which is essentially 2 passes of the face with a hydra vacuum. Then they put you under light therapy for 15 min and the esthetician left the room never to be seen again. When time expired, I waited for a while and then just took the googles and light thing off myself and saw myself out of the room! This is as close to a do it yourself hydra facial as you'll get. For this I paid 199 (not 150 as quoted) plus 20% tip. I'm being generous with 3 stars. I get facials regularly and never had an experience quite like this where I'm left in a room wondering if they are coming back again or not. Turns out they are not. read more

I went to Sken Spa based on a recommendation from a friend, the place is super modern and easy to find with lots of parking. I was suffering from headaches due to an old TMJ issue, and after talking to Ashley the nurse practitioner we decided to try a course of Botox injections to reduce the pain and help with the muscle spasm in the area. I have to say that my headaches subsided withing two visits and I am going back soon for more of the services they offer such as the new Dermal infusion system. read more
