The reason I don't recommend this company is because of the awful customer service. One example of poor customer service was when I went in to rent a helmet and I was called "A foul biker" whenever I went to purchase a mountain biking helmet and I got recommended a normal helmet. read more

Booked a trip for 4 to bike down vail pass. Bike valet was very easy to book online, accommodating to our schedule and super friendly the day of. Everyone helped my family get fitted for their bikes and helmets. The bikes were in great condition and seemed brand new! At the drop off point gave us clear instructions, a number to call for any issues and even took a family photo for us. The ride was fun and very scenic with lots of great photo opportunities. Highly recommend this company and will definitely book with them again! read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! The vail pass is a beautiful bike trail, I highly suggest you visit it. However, I suggest you use another one of the many companies that offer bike rentals and tours. The owner there is a liar and overcharges. We had made reservations online at another bike rental which is neighbors with Bike Vallet and went to Bike Vallet by mistake. When he couldn't find my reservation in his system I asked him if it was the right place, which I named, and he lied and told me yes. Then he charged me a lot more than I was told on the phone by the rep of the other company, so I realized something was wrong. When I asked again if this was the same place, again he lied and said yes and charged me the higher price, blaming it on extra "fees". We only realized we were with the wrong company when we were already in his shuttle on the way up to the pass and the other company called to find out where we were. The shuttle driver was listening to my phone conversation and started laughing! After all that, on our way down the pass, my husband's bike chain fell off twice, we had to stop and find someone to help us fix it. When we arrived back and told the owner about the chain, he brushed it off saying it always happens. When I asked him why he lied to me about the company, he said he didn't hear me ask. He is a rude, disrespectful and dishonest person. Do not go there!! read more

DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS extremely sexist and shitty bikes. Not much else to say other than how uncomfortable the owner made us feel. When we asked for downhill pads he told me to tell my boyfriend he shouldn't be taking me down trails that I would need pads for.... Not my first time mountain biking, I know what I'm doing. Thanks so much for that. Upon returning my bike I told him the brakes could be checked out and he responded by saying, "well did you ride like a girl?"... awful service. read more

Had a bit of alone time on my hands, so decided to do the Vail Pass ride. While seasoned cyclists like to bicycle UP the pass, those of us experienced couch-holder-downers have the option to enjoy the scenery by cycling (erm, coasting) DOWN the mountain. For $49 (save 20% if you fill out the online inquiry/rez form), the friendly folks at Bike Valet will drive you to Vail Pass, provide you with a bicycle, and basic instructions for finding your way back to Lionshead. Appropriately for folks of all ages and fitness levels. If you're SUPER out of shape, you should plan on walking your bike up a little hill in East Vail for a short minute. Otherwise, the bulk of the ride is coasting downhill with a couple of flat areas where pedaling is required. From start to finish, plan on a minimum of 2 hours. If you stop alot, want to scenic photos, have a little lunch by the lake...then plan on a bit longer. Friendly. Helpful. Tucked away in the corner at Lionshead. read more

Terrible drivers and management doesn't respect the customer! I had an employee call me directly after speaking with someone on the phone about his driving, and be a complete jerk!!! We ended up at this shop in Vail and were extremely impressed by the owner and his employee. Very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to take the bikes early to run around town, then gave us a deal on the Vail Pass ride. Gorgeous ride and not very difficult. Ride took a couple hours and we were going slow. We rented bikes from them to bike down the Vail Pass & through the town to Lionshead. The bikes were quality comfortable bikes in good condition. Tom took us up to the top & gave us thorough helpful instructions on safety, directions & points of interest along the way. We stopped plenty for scenic views, picture taking & lunch in a beautiful spot. I'm a senior with weak knees & had to walk my bike uphill for a couple of short stretches. I highly recommend this activity & specifically this shop. read more

My family did the Vail Pass Tour and had a great time. It is a great ride and our 10 year old was able to do the 16 miles with no problem because it is mostly down hill. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. read more

I despise leaving negative reviews and feel great remorse for doing so, however in this case I feel like I need to warn others. Rented 3 mountain bikes (around $120) for a Thursday in advance of our trip. I was on the phone with the guy as he walked me through the choices I needed to make for the reservation. Paid for and done. When we arrived to pick up our bikes, he then tells us that the Eagle Bahn gondola has routine maintenance on Thursdays....but for an additional $$$ he can drive us to a paved bike trail. This completely defeats the purpose of MOUNTAIN biking. Oh, and NO REFUND since we booked in advance online. NO APOLOGY or any remorse from this guy. I will never be able to promote a deceiving business like Ski & Bike Valet. Stay away! There are many more options available. read more

We loved our bike ride down Vail Pass! There are many places to rent bikes from in Vail, for your own safety, choose any of them, just not this one. Not comfortable with the driver's answering the phone, checking his texts, while driving us up the highway. Lecture about rider's style totally unnecessary. read more
