This business is very disorganized and doesn't have good team work skills. The employees couldn't find the key for about half an hour and were yelling at each other about where it could be. Our Ski time was cut short due to the disorganization. Then the ski were were given had blue tape around the handle area and we were told not to touch it because it would mess something up on the computer?? It was just very odd that there was tape around it which made us feel unsure about the whole thing. *and this is for SURE the business that this happened at as I compared pictures to the ones I had taken to the ones online* read more

Pros: The two guys working there when we went (Bob and Jude) are super friendly, the prices are competitive (you can find a coupon at the Tiki Bar for $95 for the 1 1/2 tour), and the tour is great! We did the island tour - at every stop, Jude gave us an explanation for what we were doing and where we were going (and sometimes a history lesson). He let us "drive it [ski jet] like you stole it" and we stopped at an awesome little beach to hang out for a bit. You get to jet ski in an amazing beautiful area, where the view is phenomenal. You ride around in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Atlantic Ocean. Especially with the coupon, this was the most cost-effective, incredibly fun experience at Key West. With so many jet ski companies to choose from-DO NOT pick this one. Starting with scheduling-I called to reserve and apparently I talked to an outside agent who doesn't actually work for the company. So I got charged a deposit, PLUS the entire fee. (So, an extra $40, which they refuse to refund me) The staff was rude, no one introduced themselves or tried to be nice to the people on the tour. There were plenty of machines and they put me on one that was missing a hand grip. "It still works" It did, yes. However, we went at full throttle the entire trip, so holding onto straight metal was pretty uncomfortable. If you want to go fast-this is the tour for you. If you want to actually see anything, or get to stop anywhere, then it's definitely not. We didn't get to do anything, we were going 50 mph the entire time. There was one dad with his daughter who turned back right away when he realized how we were driving. They told us we could leave our wallets, keys, etc. in a box that would be locked. Luckily nothing was missing, because they left it unlocked the entire tour. I've been on many jet ski tours and this was by far my least favorite, and a complete rip off. I'd strongly suggest booking elsewhere. read more

It wasn't a 27 mile island tour like advertised. We actually didn't really go anywhere. We stopped twice for some strange reason. It was less than an hour which also was falsely advertised. We paid for a an hour tour around Key West. Non of that happened. We were highly disappointed and will NEVER recommend this company. This was total fraud! read more

We were extremely disappointed with our jet ski tour. We were promised a 1.5 hour tour around Key West. Their web site map clearly shows a route circling the island. Our group of 8 went out with Angel, the guide. We were back to the dock in less than one hour and we saw about 1/4 of the island, zig-zagging near the electrical poles. When we questioned our guide afterwards, he stated that we had gone 27 miles and the water was too rough on the other side of the island (which proved to be untrue). The tour guide we had was a mean one. We rode with my in-laws and so naturally they were a bit slower than us, approximately 3 minutes behind, max of 5. But this guy after just a single stop said we could not make it to the tour round this island with our pace. He asked us to just go back and forth the beach instead, aborted the island tour. We asked for a partail refund as we were not able to make the island tour accdg to them we consumed over an hour running back and forth the beach and the price was pretty nuch the same. That was crazy.That tour guide was just plain mean and and impatient. The tour is a 28 mile and by the second leg we were running 20 mph so that gives us around 1.5 to 2 hrs to run the island, just as stated in the brochure. I did not know there was actually a minimum speed requirement to join these guided tours that we fully paid for. read more

We ended up having a good time, but we did not get what we paid for. We paid for the tour around the island of Key West, but we ended up just going to the east side of Stock island to a submerged sand bar. We did take a stop at one of the bush formations. We spent majority of the time just playing on the jet skis going fast and taking sharp turns. We were consistently traveling at max speeds of 50+. I didn't expect to be going that fast. We bought the tickets through a broker. They should just advertise the trip for what it is. If they need to charge more to actually go around Key West, do it. I don't know why they would risk their reputation by advertising one service and providing another. We casually inquired of others around Key West about our experience, and they said this guy is notorious for being crooked like this. I should've known something was up when other residents who were at the sand bar were calling the guide an idiot. Plus, the guide asked for a tip at the end. This isn't Mexico. You don't ask for tips when people spend $110 and while wearing a flashy rolex. read more

This place was fantastic!!! I highly recommend to anyone in Key West to stop by and let these guys give you a tour. First off, it was a good price and comparable to other companies in town. My friend and I were a tad hesitant about dropping $120 for the ride, but we called and they said we could double up on the jet ski and split the cost. Awesome! When we got there we went over the safety information and all the basics, got changed to head out. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on that particular tour, which was badass since that meant it was now a private tour. I'm not sure how this happened, but I have a feeling it was a cross between this being the first tour (10 am) and a weekday (if Friday actually counts). So our tour guides name was Marcel. He was really freaking funny, but reading the review before this makes me think some of it might be a tad scripted, for the "Ride it like you stole it" line. However, these jet skis HAULED. There was a point when we were out on the open and we had the 'pedal to the metal' going 45mph, and Marcel totally smoked us. Don't even want to know how fast his ski could go. However, especially in the beginning he kept turning around to make sure that we were right behind him and able to keep up, and the few times were we got a little ahead of ourselves skill wise he stopped and made sure everything was okay. During the tour we went the "secret" sub space for the navy, and also to a sand bar to stop and take pictures. A very cool point, you actually pass from the Gulf of Mexico into the Atlantic Ocean during the tour, so that was pretty interesting. Marcel was great because he actually offered to take our pictures, not only while stopped, but while driving so we could get some action shots. Also on the private tour we actually got to stop a few extra places that normally weren't included which was really nice. Just as a word, a tip is recommended at the conclusion of your tour, so try to bring a few extra bucks with you in case you love it. PROS -- Everything. This is a MUST-DO tour. CONS -- Um... They were out of t-shirts to sell me at the end. LESSONS FROM THE WISE -- Wear shorts. Seriously. Preferrably board shorts of some type that don't have the ability to ride up. Otherwise you will be showing some crack to anyone in or near the ocean. Also, be prepared to have the wind knocked out of you if you take a wave at the wrong angle at full speed.... so just try not to do that. If you are confident enough to stand while going over the waves that totally helps absorb that shock so its not so ... shocking. Also, one of those dopey looking sunglass holder wouldn't be a horrible idea. Overall, just go and have fun! read more

Great price ($120) compared to alot of the other tours in Key West! The guys were friendly and our tour guide did an awesome job. He was interactive and was a local, so the stories he told us and some of the places we got to see were really cool. Our group was only about 8 people, which was great because we had more freedom to speed up or slow down without having to worry about a big group. Would definitely recommend ski key west to someone wanting to kill a few hours, get sun, and have fun! read more

These people are crooks!!! Old jet skis that don't work. We had the worst experience. One of our jetskis did not work and they refused to return our money. We will be disputing with the bank! I hate to only leave three stars because both the owner and his son were so nice! However, we did not start on time due to one of the shuttles running late and that cut into our total time. About 30 minutes into the ride, our guide got into a collision with another guide from another company. They were going at it about who had the right away and Angel, our guide, ended up going to the hospital and we were left with only one guide. We did not end up going around the 27 mile loop as advertised but I imagine that was due to being one guide down and we had an extremely slow couple in the back that failed to keep up. However, we still had a ton of fun. DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING A JETSKI AT A FAST PACE. I'm sure other companies stroll around the island but for this specific one they do not. And it's more fun that way! We were able to do mostly "free play" since the tour was cut short due to the experienced owner who was harping on safety at the beginning charged another driver and ended up in the hospital. read more

We schedulded a Jet Ski tour with Ski Key West back in April of 2012. The weekend we were supposed to go jet sking a terrible rain storm came thru and the trip was cancelled due to weather conditions. Ski West said they would refund everyones money. However, after a few months we still did not recieve a refund. I kept calling every week or so to talk to the manager Mark but had to keep leaving messages. After about 3 months I recieved a call from Mark and he said they sent a check. After I explained that we never recieved the refund he promised to resend a check. That was in August 2012. Once again, no check came. I have spent the last 3 months leaving messages for Mark. As of Nov 11th, I still have NOT heard back from them. I have left MULTIPLE meesages and still have not received a call back or a refund. I would strongly suggest that stay away from this company. Because if your trip gets cancelled you may not get your money back! read more
