I love Ski Nails! Their services are the best way to relax after a long week. Their gel nails are beautiful and don't peel like others I've seen. I'm still one of the old schoolers who likes my nails shorter with basic nude tones. They' don't judge me too loudly, or at least they wait until I leave. They're nice and willing to help me find the most flattering au currant nude tone available. Their full service pedicure has become my pre-travel ritual the day before long flights to keep my legs feeling happy and comfortable. I loved my experience at Ski Nails! The tech who took care of me was very kind and receptive to what I wanted and asked for (GelX), she was gentle with my hands and nails and took her time making sure everything was correct and good quality. The marbling design she did was beautiful and I loved the end result :) The salon and all its tools also looked and felt clean, sanitary, and quality, so I never felt worried about subpar tools or being injured. The pricing was also great and was definitely much less than I was expecting. I'll definitely be going back! Thank you! I made an appointment for a pedicure a few hours before. They weren't busy, which was nice because I wasn't rushed. Nancy was the nail tech and did a great job. They have massage chairs and a good variety of polish colors. My heels needed more smoothing. It took an hour including time for the polish to dry. read more

I finally found my spot for pedicures! The salon is super bright, incredibly clean, and everyone is so friendly and nice! The massage chairs are hands-down the BEST I've ever sat in, they have lots of options for different levels of pedicures, and their polish selection is great, too. Plus, I received THE most relaxing pedicure (the lady who gave me the pedicure actually set a timer for the massage part (something I appreciate because this is where so many salons skimp out)) and I didn't feel like she was rushing and trying to get me out the door (which is something that happens all too often in other places I've been). Also, the place is easy to find, there's lots of parking, and the prices are reasonable. It's been about three weeks since I had my pedicure, and my toes and feet STILL look and feel good! Vivian does it again! I used to do dip powder every 2-3 weeks or so and since have started doing gel extensions. I'm obsessed. They feel sturdier and didn't chip once in 4 weeks. I only lost one nail but that was my fault (building furniture)! This time we did chrome and I am so in love. Expensive, but worth it. read more

Since I was trying the salon for the first time I just did the basic pedicure. They were awesome and the pedicure was perfect and done beyond my expectations. I was early and got to watch them do a set of nails and was very impressed with their attention to detail, making sure the customer was completely satisfied therefore I will be back to get my nails done. These guys nailed it. Seriously though, if I were to point fingers at the best nail salon, this would be it. 1) Not too busy. They are nestled right at the mouth of the canyon in Cottonwood Heights in a quaint little shopping center, but I loved that they weren't incredibly busy. I made an appointment and they were ready right when I got there. 2) They went ABOVE and BEYOND on my nails. I love the precise touch ups my woman did for me, and the extra mile she went to make sure I was ready to walk out with a fresh coat of polish. She was quick but also very particular about the size of my nail, the cleanliness, and she made sure no polish was left on my skin. 3) They offered a bowl of chocolates on my way out. 4) There were about 5 other people there, some getting massages, some getting pedicures, and some using hot stones. It's nice to be one of the only ones in the salon, but it's nicer to see people come in and leave consistently. Overall, this is one of the best nail salon's I found. Big, big, fan and I'll definitely be coming back. I've been going to Ski Nails for over 3 years now and I will continue to go there. I always ask for Mike, he is so detailed and takes his time in shaping every nail to perfection. Vivian and Sarah are also amazing! Everyone there is so friendly and they make you feel comfortable and pampered. Huge selection of colors! Comfy pedicure massage chairs! Beautiful salon! They offer dip! Before this nail salon I hated getting my nails done because it was so painful but everyone at Ski Nails is gentle and careful which I greatly appreciate. After the pedicure, 10/10! She meticulously took care of my feet and addressed the areas I said I wanted to be looked at more, and most importantly, didn't make me feel bad about it! This place is amazing and I had the best experience. I went to Vivian today who was so gentle when removing my cuticles I couldn't believe it. I've never had such a good experience and after the traumatizing experience I had at a different salon last time, this was everything I could have hoped for. Vivian was able to remove my old gel manicure and put on a flawless coat of regular polish. That's no small thing. My nails have a gorgeous shape, and she was so detail oriented about making sure there were no hangnails left or lines out of place. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I called ahead and scheduled a pedi and dip for myself and my friend. Went in and wasn't able to do a pedi anymore because of time and they had the audacity to tell us they had scheduled out 2 hours for us. They also said they would charge us anyway. The whole time I felt so judged and uncomfortable for just saying we didn't have enough time to do the pedi as well. They then took 2 hours to do dip with (no design). I was looking forward to the lotion and they did not put it on but did everyone else around us. So rude. I also know the ladies were talking about us because they kept looking at us after they were talking. SO UNCOMFORTABLE! Wish I could've found my nail salon. Do no recommend this place. read more

Now, I'm not really inclined to get manicures or pedicures on a regular basis but I recently have come to terms with the fact that I am just not going to fuss over my nails myself so I might as well pay someone else to do it. I don't know the name of the woman who did my toes this time, but she was very attentive to detail and I felt she worked very hard to see that my feet looks nice and that her work looked professional and worthy of the time and money spent on it on her end and mine. THANK YOU SKI NAILS! We had a large group of ladies come in for mani's and pedi's, a girls morning out prepping for a wedding that weekend. Mike was so helpful leading up to the appointment and even offered to open early for us to make sure he could accommodate everyone. He was also really flexible as there were a lot of last minute girls who wanted to attend and the headcount kept changing. Even two more showed up the day of who didn't RSVP and they handled it with grace! There were only 4 staff members that day, but they got everyone the services they wanted and in a really timely fashion. Yes, some of us had to wait a good amount of time before it was their turn, but they were happy to wait because they received such great service. I had Vivian as my technician and I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS WOMAN! Not only was she positive and kind, her work is highly skilled!! I got my gel mani two weeks ago and it still looks amazing! The way she shaped my nails has got them to grow without breaking! Seriously, VIVIAN, I LOVE YOU! Finally a salon I can call home. Coming from California, I am very picky about my nail techs. I like my nails almond shaped and Vivian, the younger nail tech, did such a great job. I've also seen the coffin shaped on another woman who was getting a fill & that was the bomb too. My appt was at 5:30pm and I was out of there by 6:30pm. For my length and shellac it came out to $50, which is reasonable for a job well done. The salon has an amazing fragrance and is super clean. This was my second time getting a pedicure at Ski Nails, and sorry to say it was not a great experience. A pedicure is supposed to be a relaxing experience, not a hurry up and get you out of the chair as fast as they can. I walked in, three employees were doing manicures, I was taken to the pedi chair, another employee came to do my pedicure, 5 minutes into it, 3 women walked in and requested pedi's. There were no other employees to help, they waited, and were taken to the pedi chair, after that the employee doing mine rushed through it, I was out the door in less than 20 minutes, needless to say my toenails looked terrible after a week. Best pedicure I've ever had. That's saying a lot. Mike did an excellent job! He was very thorough. Great massage. My feet feel so smooth and refreshed! Very pleased. I won't go anywhere else when I come visit Utah again. I love that they use bags in the bowls! My friends and I got done with dinner at 7:00 a lot of places close around 7-7:30. Hands-down my new favorite nail salon in Salt Lake City, and it's not just the 20% discount, although that is helpful. The reasons why I love this salon, in no particular order: 1. Super sanitary. It whips me into a frenzy to see the plastic liners in the pedicure tubs and to watch them open the sealed plastic bags contained all of the sanitized tools. 2. They have a chandelier. Any not just one of those IKEA chandeliers, but the real-deal. Check out the Yelp photos. 3. Their staff has an impeccable attention to detail. I'm rather picky about the precision in which my polish is applied and these guys do not disappoint. Plus they're friendly AF. 4. Location. You can't beat having a nail salon that is open late, open right across the street from your work. It's great to stop in for a pedicure after a stressful day of work. 5. Everything is brand-spanking new. From the massage chairs to the polishes, everything is new and in great condition. This goes along the lines of being sanitary. ***Bonus Points*** I had a work party here and they were so accommodating! I moved here this year from San Francisco and it took me 8 months to find a nail salon I loved. This is it, and this is why: they don't cut corners. In other words, they don't miss the little details that make the experience absolutely enjoyable. 1. It is *CLEAN* - not just wiped down quickly, but obviously cleaned with care and effort, and the tools and tubs are totally sanitized. 2. They are *FRIENDLY* - no snotty talking about you while you're sitting right there, but smiling and happy to see you. I even asked to keep a bottle of my own polish there, and not only were they happy to do that, they went out of their way to order that same polish color for their other clients. 3. *EXTRAS* - it is about as close as a full day spa as you can get in a nail salon. They have natural oils, waxes and other bonus items built into their offerings. I go out of my way to visit this place regularly, and they've even stayed late one night to get me in.
