My fiancé and I went and got pedicures and saying his feet were bad would be an understatement. They took such good care of us, making sure to get my fiancés ingrown toenail I've been trying to get for months. It was at least 1/8"! They also removed all his calluses and his feet that once felt like sandpaper mixed with beef jerky, now are baby soft! They were so considerate and helpful. The massage chairs are definitely a plus too. I definitely recommend the deluxe pedicure! Hot stones, paraffin wax, and so much more. It ended up being $90 before a tip ($45 each) but definitely worth it. Will absolutely be back before our wedding! read more

Update: We went to the salon today and Quyen fixed my daughter's nails, he was gentle and kind, and did a fantastic job! My daughter feels a lot better about how her nails look and had a good experience thanks to Quyen. It was my daughter's first time getting her nails done, and it was for prom. The girl doing her nails actually told her she didn't have time for her, did a horrible job on her nails and refused to fix them when my daughter asked. I had my nails done on new years eve. My cousin, her daughter and I went in together. We all wanted new tips. We were told they cold take us. One tech started my nails first, added the nail tips but not the gel stuff. Then my cousin and her daughter were skipped for another couple girls. I sat their for 45 minutes waiting to have my nails finished. Then my cousin got hers by the same tech that finished mine. Then when it was her daughters turn the got the tips on her and the tech went to a different station to take care of some else who had come in after we did. We were in the nail salon for over 3 hours and my nails looked ok, minus 2 being crooked and all of them being different thicknesses and not square like I had requested. They did well with my pedicure!! First pedicure was good. Though dude can be rough with the massage, I was happy with the job.

One star for friendly staff. I went here with my daughter and my husband (who we dragged in there for his first pedicure). The guy who did my pedicure was so rough that he left me sore and bleeding. First off, the water was painfully hot, but I toughed it out. Little did I know then that it was only the beginning of the ordeal. He dug and dug under my toenails and down the creases of my big toes with a sharp metal instrument, repeatedly jabbing it into my skin and scrapping along the tender skin underneath the nail. It hurt terribly. One toe bled from just that, and he cut the other big toe. I have very little to no callouses, he didn't have scrape so hard with that big cheese grater (yes, they use real cheese graters that you buy in kitchenware shops). Whenever I'd yelp or flinch in pain, telling him that it hurt, he'd just grin at me and say, Yes, yes! And go back at it all the more. My daughter whose pedicure was done by a woman, thought I was just over-reacting, because hers was going nicely. The guy I had never even apologized for cutting me. It took him quite awhile to stop the bleeding, and I'm still worried I'll get an infection. While I was getting my nails done, that guy went to work on my husband's feet. I kept glancing over, and saw that he was hurting even my big, tough husband whose feet actually have callouses. The guy also cut him, causing three toes to bleed. One day later and we're both still in pain. I've been using neosporin with pain medication ointment on my feet like you would a lotion, because they're so sore. My feet were still red from the ankles down. The soles are raw and it hurts to walk on them. I'm sure they'll be okay, once the skin grows back. However, my husband will never get another pedicure. Sad because, like me, he's diabetic, and foot care is very important for us. As diabetics, we're also prone to infection, poor circulation in feet, slow healing, and so have to avoid injuries to our feet. Wish I'd had the foresight to get up and leave before it got so bad. Lastly, my manicure was pitiful. I'll certainly never go back nor recommend it to anyone, unless they're interested in testing their ability to endure torture. read more

I have been going to Jan Nails in Midvale for awhile. Kim charges me a different price every time. On the pricing list it lists $12.00 for a fill. Sometimes she will charge me $15.00. I have never just paid $12.00. I was there on Saturday and she charged me $20.00. I asked her why $20.00. Her answer was for the oval look. Good grief I have never been charged for anyone to file my nails oval. $8.00 for this? Needless to say I was not very happy. I gave her the money and left. If she expected a tip I figured she already got one. I will never go there again, so beware ask the full price before you have anything done. Very disappointed in her. My cousin and I went to get pedicures. The service was alright, the ladies were professional enough. However the girl that worked on my feet trimmed my toes nails back of far that the sides were bleeding! By that evening my big toe was swollen and tender. Today I have it wrapped in a bandage with a peroxide cotton ball in the hopes to avoid infection. There are so many other places to choose from I double I'll ever go back there. This is one of the worst salons I have ever been to. I have been 2 times. The first time I couldn't get the man to do my cuticles the way I (the paying customer) was requesting them be done. He was acting as if I was making him go out of his way to do his job-pure lazy and clearly you are not worried about customer satisfaction. So then today I go in to get my nails taken off. The lady started the appointment with telling me how mad another customer makes her when the customer moves and doesn't relax her hand like I was doing. First of all, why are you talking sh*t to me about another one of your customers but most importantly you're comparing them to me?! Wtf? I asked for a manicure and what I got was a quick, half-assed trim of my not pushed back or moistened cuticles. More laziness with the cuticles. I have a smashed pinky nail that is literally black and blue. I explained that I needed her to be very careful with it as I was still in a great deal of pain. She had zero regard for my injury and as a result of this carelessness, hurt the bruised nail further by applying pressure to it and causing me an instant extreme sharp pain in my nail. She responds with "oh it hurts?" Are you kidding me? As if I didn't just say that to you, the black and blue bruise wouldn't seem indicate an injury? She apologizes and continues with "be nice to me, don't be mean to be, smile and have a good Wednesday morning!" Highly annoyed at this point I abruptly ended the appointment. She continued with "please be nice to be me, please be nice to me, blah blah blah" It is absolute bullshit that this woman tried to turn the situation around on me and tell me to be nice to her as if I was somehow being mean to her, when she had zero regard for my injury and couldn't even perform a service properly, that I am literally paying for! Do not waste your time here, there are plenty of other salons in the area that can provide you with half decent service. read more

This place is an absolute joke. I was in a hurry because I had accidentally booked my nail appointment at my normal shop for the wrong day. (It was tomorrow but I thought I'd made it for today but I wouldn't be able to make it to tomorrow) Anyway, I asked for my pedicure to be first because I wanted the color to dry before leaving. I have a rambunctious puppy that will MESS IT UP if it's not dry lol anyway, that was a huge issue already. They didn't want to let me have a pedicure first. Mind you, the store is EMPTY. And I don't mean "basically empty"... I mean literally not another soul besides her, her son, and husband. Not one butt in a chair. They have no customers, and after my experience, I can see how. It's really laughable how she thought that charging an extra $18 for coffin nails was gonna fly. And after seeing the pictures on here, I'm glad I didn't fall for the old okie doke! As someone who gets their nails done every two weeks, I questioned why coffin nails were an additional $18 to the gel fill. I kinda understood the $5 for matte, but $18? My total was coming to $48 for a matte black coffin FILL.... and based on some of these pics, mediocre work at that. She then goes on to insult my nails and tell me how the nail tech who worked on them really fucked them up. Which, she must not listen too well because I had told her that already. The last nail tech to work on my nails was not at my regular place because I could not get in with my regular technician. She is so good, she is booked out weeks, and sometimes months in advance. She suggested I go back to whoever fucked up my nails. So, I reiterated for her that her insults are justified as I have no plans to return to the shitty place who did it before and that if she thinks she is insulting my regular technician, she is mistaken. She told me to go to my regular technician, and I happily walked out. It was pretty laughable how her store was empty and her pride didn't allow her enough patience to politely answer my questions. Not to mention that the yelp rating here is 3 stars yeah. I learned my lesson on going outside of my home shop. The quality is worse and so is the service. I'll just stick to my 5 star shop ;) Expression Nails in Murray is a little bit further, but it's definitely worth it for the quality. Luckily, I'm not fuming from my experience because I called Lynn at Expression and she agreed to squeeze me in this weekend. Miracles do exist! Yeah. Save your time and energy. Seven minutes after getting started the nail tech told me I had to move and wait again because someone else who came 25 minutes after their appointment time had to be taken care of because they had another appointment.
