This place is a joke. We rented ski boots for my son and the buckles kept popping open during his skiing. I informed the manager, and was told that I should maybe invest in buying a pair of boots to avoid this problem. Far be it from me to offer unsolicited advice, but maybe, just maybe, they should rent better equipment. Good luck to all ski renters, I hope you don't get those boots. read more

We came in a few Saturdays ago needing guidance purchasing outfits for my husband and teenage daughter to learn to snowboard in Colorado during winter break. Efrain was amazing! He was friendly, easy to work with, knowledgeable and patient with the many questions and concerns our family voiced throughout the process. And he did a great job of outfitting them both. Our trip was a wonderful succuss in large part to Efrain making sure they were both warm and comfortable all day on the slopes. Staff was friendly but it really feels like there's 15 employees standing around doing nothing at all times. Was told my snowboard wax would take 15-20 mins tops, and after waiting 30+ mins I went to check on it only to find that no one had started on my board yet. It's so nice having the new location for Ski Pro Desert Ridge! Having a full store on the north side of town vs the old outlet store is so much better! Showed the display helmet to the cashier and they told me there was a 10% discount, I showed him scratches and stains on the helmet. He grabbed someone to see if the price was going to change due to the damage. She grabbed the helmet, went to the back and spent 8 minutes cleaning it. The finger smudges were gone but unfortunately you can't clean sharpie and scratches off a helmet . She also walked right past me and didn't even glance when I respectfully let her know we were standing else-where by offering a friendly "hey how's it going", which was incredibly rude. We took our ski's in for service and waxing for the end of the year, Everyone we met was so helpful and friendly, I have to give kudos to Pete on the rental and service area for helping my husband out with a small adjustment of his ski boots. Do not rent skis from this location the ski rental process takes more than an hour just to pick up your skis even after you had paid for them and gotten measured the week before. there was only four people in front of us more than an hour. Lots of frustrated and angry customers. Spoke to the manager Gina who was rude and unhelpful. Simply said this is the method here and did not attempt to help speed the process up by helping take care of customers. She also spent significant time wandering around the store floor and the lineup was 15 people long. read more

I have been visiting the desert ridge location on a monthly basis sometimes even twice a month ever since they opened. I used to have to make the long trip to the Phoenix or Mesa location but the ski gods answered my prayers and blessed me with a ski pro closer to home. The manager Gianna is great. She is super sweet and helpful in trying to make recommendations based off your needs. Unfortunately I purchased a one piece snow suit for over $500 and after one day of skiing in Big Bear they ripped at the seam. I was told to take pictures and email them in so they could contact the specific manufacturer for a warranty plan. It's been 5 weeks now and I have heard nothing. Frustrating as I'm going to ski again this weekend. I'll pop into one of the flagstaff shops with used ski gear bc honestly what I've purchased their second hand has held up. One of the other managers or employees, I believe Gianna's boyfriend, said they were unable to exchange or refund bc they were more of a "'mom and pop" which confused me they are a franchise with several locations around the valley. They could definitely learn something about customer service from a retail store like Nordstrom. read more

I am beyond impressed. I bought the seasonal rentals for both my kids but, as 12 year old boys do, my son grew...right out of his boots. Before we ever actually hit the slopes. We went in this morning (Friday of literally the busiest ski weekend of the year) and they did not have any youth ski equipment in their rental inventory that would work for my son. The manager took a brand new pair of boots from their sellable inventory and converted them to rentals for us. That was customer service beyond my wildest imagination. I came for new ski boots. Pete helped me find the perfect boot for my foot. We tried several and found the boot that fit my foot like a glove. He gave good instructions on how to adjust them during and after I skied with them. I just skied at Wolf Creek for 2 days and they were perfect.
