My mistake: not insisting they put their most experienced ski tech on the job of tuning my skis. Their mistake: letting a rookie tech use a p-tex candle where there should have been base welds. A competent ski tech can make bases look brand new with a stone grinder and base welder. These were far, far from that. I was offered a chance to leave them to be fixed, but would you go to the same doctor that botched your surgery in the first place? If I was the guy on the other side of the counter, I would have offered to comp the work. It would have prevented this review from being written.

Todd is like the ollivander of snowboards. I feel like he sorted me into the correct board that fit my style price point and size! Thank you for the educational conversation, GIVE TODD A RAISE #toddforkingofthemountian

At first I was overwhelmed with the inventory. I managed to find the equipment and new jacket I needed. Im very impressed with everything stocked up. Not impressed with the lack of customer service. I would have bought more instead of just got what I needed. Tips to store Greet customer when walking in. Most customers I can assume aren't first time skiers and oftentimes need all new updated equipment. Kinda Bummer Ski Pros experience.

Actual price of the bindings

Scam, scam, scam. My son bought a snowboard package from the ski pro booth at SnowJam at the "SnowJam special deal price" for $449.98. When he got home and took the plastic off from under the bindings we saw that the price for the board was $259.95 and the bindings were $119.95. Thanks for being honest.

That's the stabilizing piece Chris found in the back from an old pair of boots they stripped down.

The very best gun sales & training in AZ. Absolute favorite…read more Charlie is trustworthy, well priced, LOCAL and always available to help. STRAPT is the only way to go for gun sales, service, ammo, customization, security and training. I highly recommend STRAPT for all your equipment needs.

I'm 45 years old disabled veteran, and I had to go to Phoenix Arizona for my health originally I…read morethought I was gonna have to find a nursing home. Long story short TBI exposure left me with some medical problems I was overheated needed to go to the VA for some fluids. I'm a law abiding American was my enhanced permit and no firearms are allowed on VA property. I almost passed out. It was 120° outside getting my firearms out of the vehicle (I had to dig) I was living in campgrounds and things to that nature to make appointments. I had almost no money until my check went in two days asked if they could watch my firearms while I went to the VA. I was there longer than I thought so the next day they charged me $35 to hold onto my firearms. Which is OK if when I was waiting in the morning, parked in the shade where a big lifted truck that says STRAPPED ARMORY(if you're a guy and driver lifted truck that says strapped. Your definitely not enough said) he pretended to not know me. Trying to see if he could skate by saying didn't leave firearms there. I'm in tried to convince me he didn't know me. My firearms are better than anything. He had. When I was there before my brain was swelling and I was stuttering and had to give him a number to call if I passed out... yeah. Dishonesty! Yeah that's the type of guy you're dealing with when you go there. I'm from East Tennessee. It might just be a different world out here., But the man knows about as much about fishing as he does firearms and that's not much. He knows how to make money and that's about it. integrity is zero! I will say the young man that waited on me sort of large fellow. I can't remember his name tattoos really good dude solid he should be running the place. I actually think he's a good dude probably a Vet. Somebody needs to hire that guy and pay him, he's running show. I had to sell a 1911 there at an enormous loss just to get gas to get up the road. That's on me. Everything else is between him and his maker. In my opinion- Just a warning to anyone out there that was thinking about doing business with him if he's willing to try to rip off of Vetran with a head injury... enough said....

I love this place! I used to be an REI loyalists but lately my activities are getting much more…read moretechnical and REI doesn't seem to be able to supply all the gear I need. I came here a few days ago looking for vertical ascend gear out of caves. I was greeted by Jason and he was really helpful and knowledgeable. I needed very specific gear, and Jason was very patient with me and showed me where I could find sit harnesses, chest harness, chest ascender, hand ascende, foot loops, etc. I didn't find exactly what I needed but got a good idea on the things I need to build a personalized vertical gear set for myself. And of course, while I was looking for cave gear, I wandered around looking at all the fabulous gear they have, I was like a kid in a candy store. I could spend hours in here. I started looking at hydration packs as I need to replace mine and found a very nice military edition and will come back to purchase this soon. I also saw plenty of Petzl bags, and very tempted to purchase another. They also carry so much Petzl gear, you will be in heaven here. Also, some great hiking shoes and some sleek, but we'll performing water shoes. I then wandered into kayaks and Jason even showed me the Padillac they have! I've gotten into paddleboarding and kayaking for the summer and now want one of each! This place rents them and sells them. I then went to check out some wetsuit gear, and they have a really nice selection of wetsuits, gloves, booties, etc. I really love this place and it is definitely gonna bankrupt me, but so worth it. High quality gear, more extensive selection than REI and the staff here know what they are talking about. If you need something specialized, this is the place for you. I'll be back here soon!

The Hiking Shack had a nice assortment of hiking goods - not a ton of hiking boots/shoes options…read more However, I got two pairs of shoes and I was happy with my choices! The gentleman that helped us was, interesting... he YELLED across the store for some extra help. A little unprofessional and then when he did get to my group (there were 3 of us buying shoes) he proceeded to tell us his whole life story. I did appreciate the time he took to measure our feet and have us try out multiple sizes and styles. That being said the shoe I liked didn't come in any other colors despite the display having other color options. I would love to support this store seeing that there are lots of other larger competitors like REI. But I wish they had a few more options/colors/sizes.
