I would be very, very careful working with ski pro, particularly if you're speaking with Susan, on expensive swim tech suits. We bought one for my daughter, but they completely mis-sized her. Her suit was way too small. I recommend you measure twice, purchase once. We spoke with Susan several times and she said she would put aside the correct size and exchange the suit... Yay! Unfortunately, after driving 45 minutes to ski pro, she couldn't find the suit and was very matter-of-fact about it. No apology, no empathy for all the time wasted and just very poor customer service. So disappointing. However, to their credit, they did give me a refund without a problem, but it could've been handled so, so much better. read more

This place really sucks I went in there to rent equipment and the staff acted like they didnt want to help anyone out. I mean I know working sucks, but come on it's your job. So I give this place one star for the staff being rude, and the fact that i had to go to the Ski Pro in Mesa to rent the clothes that fit me. In the end I wish I had rented everything from the Ski Pro in Mesa. Mesa Ski Pro is a lot more polite and will be more than willing to help you find what you need. read more

I'm a casual skier and have come to Ski Pro several times throughout the years. I bought my skis and boots here and felt I got a good deal for excellent equipment. I dropped my skis off for a service today and I felt the price quoted and timeline were reasonable. Sometimes I wish they had a little more selection as far as clothing for skiers, but I guess you need to offer what the customers want and a lot more people are boarding. My only real complaint is that women frequently bring their boyfriend/husband into the women's dressing room. I find that very annoying and I wish they would put up a sign making clear that the women's dressing room is for women, hence the name. read more

I've been in here a couple times and never had any issues. Good deals on a large inventory too. My GF has purchased a lot of stuff from here in the past, as she is a more experienced skier than I am, and she always has positive experiences. I tagged along with her to drop off some skis to get waxed and I decided I would buy my first pair of boots. Pete, the manager, helped us through our whole experience and was a professional. He said he's been skiing for 40 years. He asked me some questions about my skiing level and picked out some boots for me to try on and get a feel for. I tried on 5 or 6 pairs and I ended up going with the first ones he suggested. He even guided me through what size/type of skis and poles I should get. 5 star experience at this store. read more

Twice I have gone in this store and the customer service is terrible. I was looking for skis, boots and other equipment - there were like 4 sales people sitting around chatting about all their important things (all of which had nothing to do with SALES of their mechandise). I guess when you're the only game in town, you can afford to be dismissive and offer poor service because where else are you going to go? Too bad. Better service, prices and response to online sites. Downhill boot fitting is pretty good. Ski recommendations likewise. However, any ski shop has limits. As an avid skier who skis all blacks 10-20 days a year in Colorado, I would recommend demo-ing everything at the ski resort first before buying... because... Boots may hurt after 3 hours. You may find that a 90 stiffness boot is wildly comfortable but isn't stiff enough for skiing beyond beginner runs. You may find that the Volkl skis powered by steel are too powerful for your out of shape legs.... I sold mine. You also may find that powder and crud on big mountains require a much wider and forgiving ski than a Snowbowl groomer to float. ... You may find the rocker they want to sell you is simply too unstable at high speed. ... e.g. Rossignol Sky7 HD's. They make good recommendations, but I would strongly recommend studying the skiing magazines first and demoing everything on your short list... definitely worth it. I ended up with Blizzard Bonafides after trying 20 ski, but ski choice is very personal... and you have to try before you buy. read more

The manager still has not called me back. My ski pants are still not fixed and this is up there for worst service ever So today almost a month later I get a call from the manager at ski pro and he tells me that my pants have been repaired by the manufacturer and I can pick them up and as a courtesy they're not going to charge me for the repairs!!!! This after purchasing over $300 ski pants from a place where they were clearly defective right out of the bag and were only use for a couple hours and return the next day? thank you for letting me go for the rest of the ski season without providing me with a replacement. I needed to get bindings put on my skis, I called the Ski Pro Shop and ended up speaking to the manager Chris, I was running late and was not sure if I was going to make it to the shop in time before it closed. I live in Tucson and was only in town for the day. He told me they would stay open late for me. Once I got to the store everyone was friendly. Pete was very helpful, he stayed late after his shift ended to put my bindings on my skis and also fitted me for a pair of boots. He was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location. Wanted to give a big shout out to Andrew the manager at the North Scottsdale location. I went in today for the second time this week after I was having some frustrations with my newly purchased ski boots, and I have to say that Andrew and his team (including Ben) did a fantastic job of going above and beyond. They were extremely busy but despite these challenges they made sure they were giving every single customer the same level of great customer service - great leadership Andrew. I also had the pleasure of working with Gil from their Camelback location and he was exceptional as well, the guy basically has a Master's degree in anything that has to do with Boots and Ski Equipment. Dropped into Camleback a couple Weeks ago to grab some demo skis before heading up to Flagstaff to chase some powder in the upper bowls. Rental line was long but what can you expect when there's one store and everyone and their weekend warrior brother rents from this store when the snow falls? I'd be more apt to rate the customers in line zero stars, bunch of hurried, I'm the most important ever, people I've seen. Fits the location though. Finally got to the counter and told the younger guy working I was looking to spin the Enforcer 110s for the weekend given the dump that just happened. He was super friendly, especially given the crowd and their attitude, and we chatted about back country touring and his possible new setup. Grabbed my boots (GripWalk) and went up front to pay. When I got back there the more senior tech came out and apologized that the 110s had bindings that weren't technically GW compatible. No worries, boot tech is all over the place but I was glad he recognized the compatibility issue and brought it to light rather than just handing me some skis with bindings that would kind of work. After a quick discussion we decided to switch out to some QST 106s that had bindings compatible with GripWalk soles. On top of that, he was happy I came in because he could use my boots as a teaching opportunity for the younger tech that was working. Didn't even charge me for the extra day rental. That's beyond solid. read more

I recently rented demo snowboard equipment from ski Pro. I came into the store to order the rentals on the Tuesday before our weekend trip to Snowbowl. My husband picked up our rentals on Friday evening before leaving that night. He did not realize that they'd given him incorrect size for my boots. I didn't figure it out until struggling through half a day with boots that were 2 sizes too big. I had to rent different boots at the resort which meant more $ and standing in long rental line and then finding a locker to store the incorrect sized boots. To their credit, Ski Pro did give me a free rental for next time which I decided to use this weekend. Once again we came in on Tuesday to pre order for our Friday departure and spent some time providing specific set-up instructions for the equipment (binding and foot placement). When my husband came to pick up equipment, it was not ready and when ready, was not set to the specs we'd requested. There was no apology and a complete lack of empathy. Now we're an hour late getting on the road and stuck in traffic. So disappointed with these experiences. read more

Pete is the most patient person I have ever met. He located boot after boot to find the one that fit just right. Then after finding the right boot, he took time to make some adjustments to make them even more comfortable. He gave recommendations and listened to my feedback. If you need some boots and aren't sure what you want, Gil is your guy! He measures you, listens to your needs and helps you find the best boots for you. The customer service at Pro Ski was amazing. Nick helped me get all set up with a new snowboard, boots and bindings for my beginner's skill level and answered any questions I had (which were a lot). Pete helped my husband find the prefect ski boots, which was a task in itself due to my husband's abnormal size feet. Pete was very knowledgeable and knew the importance of having the right fitting boots. This place is great. We went here to avoid long lines at Snowbowl. We didn't know our sizes so went in to get sized and reserve equipment, but you can reserve online to save yourself a trip. The lines weren't as bad as the reviews about Snowbowl said. Walking from the parking lot in ski boots isn't as easy as renting from Snowbowl, but we didn't want any drama like making you late to the lesson so that you have to wait another couple of hours. Alex was very nice and helped me carry everything to the car. We ended up buying helmets because you can't rent those. They were reasonably priced and good quality. It was nice to know they fit because we decided to go skiing at the last minute. We got gloves and goggles on Amazon for much cheaper. I had to purchase ski pants because they didn't have any bibs left in my size. They only had very large ski bibs left even though I showed up an hour early to pick up. May want to buy your own bib and jackets on Amazon. Great experience overall. read more

Mixed experiences here. Staff is mostly disinterested, but some are helpful. I would question some of their knowledge about skis and equipment. A guy named Justin seems the most knowledgeable of all. The last tune they did on my skis was so bad I had to take them to another shop near the ski resort to have de-tuned to make them ski-able again! Because of this I feel like a respected long term customers and I will return to the shop in the future. Hopefully they have fixed their customer service issues with their other managers. I had the pleasure of dealing with Cody whom was very helpful and congenial, the way a manager should conduct themselves with customers. When you go in, asking for him would be a good idea. Renting a ski package Friday for a Snowbowl trip leaving the same day, I was required to make a second trip after 4pm in order not to be charged an extra day. Arriving in Flagstaff, my daughter discovered she was rented two right boots and was then required to rent another entire packet for double the price at Snowbowl, which also took two hours out of the only ski day. I called before leaving to return the items today and specifically asked if she needed to be with me in order to get the refund since it was charged to her credit card, and was told, no problem, just bring the receipt and talk to a manager. When I took the paperwork to the front desk, I was told they needed her credit card. Then the man behind the desk just glared at me and told me to give him ANY credit card. He processed the refund on a card not used for the rental and just stared at me until I left. Perhaps there is a different location with better management or at least employee attitudes, so I'd recommend not using the Camelback store. read more

Bad combination. And no incentive since the competition is limited. This feels like a government run ski rental store! Do yourself a favor and rent at your destination. read more

Gil Salvador helped me with my boots that haven't been fitting well and with some orthotics for my falling arch issue. Gil was the most knowledgeable and professional person I have ever worked with. We went to ski pro to both rent and buy some ski gear. We were very pleased overall with our experience. We had great customer service in the rental area and the rest of the shop. Every staff member was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. That is what really made our experience great - there were plenty of staff around to answer all our questions and helped us find the things we needed keeping our budget in mind.
