For some reason the cashier called the owner at her home to discuss what to do. WHAT TO DO !!! ???? She was impatient and offered no help - wanted my cc # or whatever for a very unique product . I left with no credit, no refund, ZIP ZILCH. How about "no worries lets get you something else" THE RESPONSE elicits how a customer feels, responds, and maybe reviews on platforms that have a big influence on diners, shoppers etc. The owner called me out on my review saying I was threatening yelling, and scaring the employees. I am 70 and injured with a smashed shoulder, four broken ribs and a brain bleed. The last time I yelled at any employee was probably 1980. And I am harmless - never did that. The owner is a FIRE STARTER and would do better with people if she was an Amazon Warehouse worker and not a front facing small business owner. This is a bad ending and the fire will burn because she is a fire starter. BAD ENDING FOR HER and the fire is going to burn.

During that time, my friend had to take her young daughter to the restroom. Considering this was a children's event, we assumed that stepping away briefly for a bathroom break would be understandable. However, when they returned, they were not allowed back inside, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We had also planned to purchase a Giant Bartholomew Bear priced at $1,045. While the bear was available for sale, we were informed that we could not take it home until 5:00 PM. We explained that we live on the other side of town and would not be able to return later in the day, but no exception was offered. It was surprising that a customer willing to make such a significant purchase was not given any accommodation. Additionally, gifts were advertised for the first 25 attendees. Many of those gifts appeared to be distributed to children under two years old, which made the process feel poorly organized and unfair to others who had waited in line specifically for the event. Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We woke up early, waited for over an hour, traveled across town, and arrived genuinely excited to participate. Instead, we left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. If this event is going to be hosted again next year in partnership with Jellycat, I strongly encourage the organizers to reconsider their policies regarding restroom breaks, customer accommodations, event logistics, and gift distribution to create a better experience for attendees.

I like that they have a clearance table, and they have a few fun little toys and candies too. Their selection of individual cards was quite nice, and the whole vibe of the store was inviting and comfortable. The place was clean, well lit, vibrantly colored, and the young woman who rung up my purchase was friendly and polite. I spent about $80 on two books, one fancy sticky note pad, one ultra fancy card, and a clearance journal. So... more than I intended to spend today, but since they were all gifts, it felt easier to justify. I also found out Paper Source is connected to (owned by? part of?) Barnes and Noble, which I hadn't realized before. Anyway, or was a fun shop and I'd stop in again if I need a gift. I'm not sure I'd come here for myself unless I had a very specific need for some high end artistic paper. They had some really gorgeous options that I just had no ideas for how to use right now.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this B&N and while I am sad that all the Forever 21s are now bankrupt, I'm glad there is a business in this location. This is a 2 story B&N and I was able to find all the books I was looking for and then some! I deducted one star because their escalators were not working and they only had one set of escalators you could walk up and down on. This made for some traffic. My other reason is for closing at 7pm on a Sunday. I know thats already one hour extra than the mall, but come on here, youre a bookstore, you could at least keep it open until 8pm?! I guess I am used to big city hours so that was kind of annoying. Otherwise, a really great B&N! They have an upstairs coffee shop and tons of people parked in here, reading, working, etc. Bathrooms also available, not as clean as the rest of Phoenix public bathrooms, but it wasnt gross like big city public bathrooms. Those are super yucky. I'd definitely come back here again when I need to find a book!

I mostly came here though because I recently learned (thanks to a fellow yelper and their review) about their $5 book with a purchase of any cafe item. And if the location you're at doesn't have a cafe, they'll still honor it. The cafe is located upstairs here, and I decided to try a pumpkin spice cake pop. It was good! I was told they change the book every two months, so this time the book was a holiday themed one. Afterwards I learned about the B&N membership program they offer. Shay was very helpful and helped me sign up for the free version. An awesome experience here, I can't wait to come back.
