My niece recommended Ski Tech for our spring break ski rentals. Five of us rented ski packages. The staff were efficient, friendly and VERY knowledgeable. We had to go back once due to my granddaughter needing a larger size and we were in and out quickly to get back in slopes! This is where I'll recommend family and friends for rentals in the future! Licia was the best! She was kind and helpful. She's the reason we returned to Ski Tech for all our rental needs. One employee was rude. She looked like a Native American (not being racist, just so anyone who reads this will know who I'm talking about). My skis weren't waxed enough, and I took them back for an exchange. As I was walking towards the door, the rude employee mumbled, "You should've just gone down steeper slopes.". I'm a beginner. Lessons sucked because my skis weren't waxed. Why would I go down a steeper slope, when I kept falling on the bunny slopes (because my skis wouldn't glide). Licia, though, made us feel welcomed, and was observed being exceptional to others in the store, acknowledging just about everyone that entered. read more

The staff were very nice and accommodating. I RSVP for rentals and pick up time on March 14th in the morning. I called and ask to see if I could pick it up a day earlier around 3-4pm or even earlier since I was driving in from out of town. I figured I would just pick them up on the day I arrive to save time in the morning. They did warn me that later afternoon would be a busy time and a long wait. Which was cool, I had no problem with the wait time. Getting the rentals was easy and smooth. My first time snowboarding was at Angel Fire of last year. Right when everything was shutting down because of COVID. I was only able to snowboard one day of the three and I fell in love with the sport. So my GF got me my own snowboard. I didn't have any idea on how to set up my bindings. I asked the staff if they service on setting up my bindings and they did which was $15. Which is not that bad at all. Due to my height, I had to have a narrow stance. As they were installing the bindings for that stance, they couldn't screw it in properly. They said that there was glue inside the threads from the manufacture that's keeping the screw from properly being screwed in. Instead of getting the dry glue out, they position the bindings to a wider stance. The tech explain the difference and it wouldn't make much of a big difference, however my instructor told me that I needed to have a narrower stance to be able to bend my hip so I can turn easier. When i got back the Airbnb, I took off the bindings and took a flat head to get all the glue out and reposition the bindings to the stance that I needed. My problem with that is that it was such an easy fix and they didn't take the time to get the glue out and I had a harder time snowboarding due to my stance. Once I changed it, it was much easier for me to turn when I was snowboarding. This is the only reason why I gave them 4 stars. Not a lot of people bring in their own snowboard to a rental spot so it's understandable that this may not matter. The highlight of Ski Tech was that my friend flew in and RSVP rentals for two days. However, he had to go back home the very next day to work and was planning on coming back but was not able to. I went back to them on the third day to return my friends rental and explain the situation and they were very kind to just charge him for one day since he couldn't snowboard on his second day. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone who needs rentals and they are cheaper than the rentals on the resort behind the hotel. I would also go back and rent from them again. read more

These guys were great! My husband lost his bearings for his snowboard and they gave him the pieces he needed to get everything working. I rented skis for two days and was super happy with the price. They even let me change out my skis after day one when I wanted a better fitting ski. They also have a great location close to the lifts. read more

I can't recommend Ski Tech highly enough. Jeremy and his crew were amazing. Despite being short staffed (as everyone seems to be, these days) they definitely didn't show it. We rented this past Christmas where conditions were not so great. The first day we got there, the only snow was man made. The next day we definitely had more but it was a little slushy, the final day was great and pretty decent conditions. The crew at Ski Tech was awesome to work with. They are so accommodating, only charging us for the days that we told them that we went, even if we had the rentals longer. They will definitely be the place we go back to next time we are there! read more

EXTREMELY RUDE! While in Angel Fire on vacation we rented equipment here. We had a great day and went in to pick up our equipment before hitting the slopes the next day. Words cannot describe how extremely rude the woman at checkout was. Her rude comments and seriously lack of customer service knowledge had us quickly second guessing our decision to come here. I was absolutely appalled at how incredibly rude she was. Their equipment is adequate, nothing special, and there are lots of places to rent from. We will never go here again and will take our business somewhere that the employees are polite and actually care about your business. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

Although we were greeted with friendly staff, the incompetence and carelessness of the employees was ridiculous. The first afternoon we came in they were quick, but very unorganized and left our group (10 adults) feeling scattered. One of the two snowboarders in our group took special care to inform the employee helping her that she had only snow boarded once before and had previously injured her ACL skiing. Once we were reassured that everyone had the right gear we left. The next evening, after a beyond frustrating day, we returned to the shop. My friend had spent hours on the mountain attempting to snowboard only to deal with her heels continually slipping out of her boots (which were already old and ratty). After insistence and visible frustration on our end, an employee profusely apologized. He declared that the issue was due to the boots being the wrong size and emphasized that they were the only ones available last night, due to lack of stock. After they exchanged the boots(much newer and simpler) for free, we thanked him for his insight and help. The next day on the slopes was just as bad as the first. As we were waiting for ski patrol to pick up our friend because her ACL was so irritated, a seasoned pro chatted with us about how they had given her a very advanced trick board. Aggravated and exhausted we went to return our gear that night. The return process was hectic and they continued to take our gear without checking off that we had returned it (even when we mentioned it). The employees were still courteous, but when we asked why they gave her a trick board, they laughed and said that it must have been the only one they had. They knowingly put our friend at risk and ruined her chance to enjoy the mountain all to not lose one persons business. Do not rent from Ski Tech if you're looking for anyone that is remotely truthful or knowledgeable about gear. I can't begin to imagine what would have happened if they had done this to children or first timers. read more

The staff was friendly, however, when you have ski lessons an hour after we arrive at this place and we miss the first 30 minutes due to the lack of organization these people have, then there's a problem. The staff at skitech are knowledgeable and kind. If they happen to not have an answer, you can be sure that someone else in the shop does. The equipment is well taken care of. Plus Mary,the owner, is the type of person that will speak to you about any issues you have and try to take care of any worry you may have.
