Was looking for a breakfast option that didn't have a 45 minute wait on the weekend of Valentine's Day & found this gem. From the outside, you wouldn't expect to find such a great breakfast necessarily, but glad we stumbled in! We were seated immediately, and the staff was so sweet, there were several older patrons dining there so you know that the food is going to be reliable and made with love. We placed our orders and the food came out extremely fast even for it being a weekend, the portions were also really good and I think we could've easily split my omelette that I got. Nothing too fancy or trendy here, just good food made by good people. Really liked the spinach & mushroom omelette - it was LOADED & the salsa went perfectly with it. The hash browns did need some dressing up, but there was no shortage of them. Would like to try the other options, too. read more

Overall the food and service were fine. However, the restaurant smelled strongly of cleaning products or air freshener. You'd think that be ok but there was such a strong chemical smell that it was overwhelming. It's also a greasy spoon so... I'd have to really be in the mood to return. read more

I loved this place and their breakfast but why does the cashier get upset with me because she messed my order up. For some reason they will not season your breakfast unless you ask for this in which I did. I called in and ordered my eggs and ask for them to do salt to it while cooking it. I told them the eggs smell funny without season. So once I got there the older white lady told me she added a container of salt but I reminded her I wanted it salted while being cooked. She looked at me disgustingly, grabbed my order, waited in the back for a few minutes, added the salt and stirred my eggs around and came back. I thought I was getting freshly cooked order of eggs with salt but instead I got screwed over. I'm thinking she did my order over so I tipped her not knowing she did make my order the way I requested. Whats the problem with adding salt to my food. Anyway, I could tell she just went to the back and added the salt because while eating my eggs with a spoon I felt the granulated salt being rubbed into the styrofoam container with my spoon. With prices being so high nowadays you figured you would get served the way you request it. I hate tipping after being screwed over. They really need to do something about her. She is rude, impolite, and a scammer. read more

Great diner in arlington! I usually get the same thing for breakfast every time - the chicken fried chicken and eggs and have ventured off trying the patty melt and liver and onions for lunch which both were also so good! The size of the chicken isn't as large as it used to be when it had to be on a plate by itself and it seems the batter is much lighter than it used to be. Some changes but nothing bad. Either way, I still love coming here with my family to enjoy breakfast and we haven't been disappointed. Lots of space for large parties to dine in. Fun and friendly staff, family owned. Everything is reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. There's no way you're leaving still hungry. The house hot sauce (Sarah's sauce) is one of my favorites. read more

Had breakfast here on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Service was excellent and food was filling and very good. I had Breakfast Burrito and it was huge. It was very good and full of eggs, potato, sausage. It's been awhile since I've been to this restaurant, but decided to go this morning for breakfast. They did not disappoint! In town for an event and spent the morning being lazy at our hotel, wanted breakfast and found Skillet N Grill open later than anywhere else in the area. We were greeted when we walked in and told to sit anywhere we wanted. Found a booth in the middle of the main dining area and a young guy came up right away with menus and asked for our drink order - he brought it right away. Then we sat... we sat and waited almost 15 minutes, we watched a couple that came in after us get greeted by the waitress and order their food. I am not the person to make a scene and flag someone down...but I will stare to try to make eye contact...finally we connected and she came over SUPER apologetic knowing that we had been there a while and she absolutely did skip over us. She ended up being super sweet, we accepted her apology. The food was good - except the biscuits. I was truly hoping for some fresh homemade biscuits...these were stale and dry. I got the Skillet N Grill Omelet with home fries and my plate was massive! My omelet was delicious and I couldn't even finish it. My husband got the Skillet N Grill blanket which is basically biscuits & gravy with scrambled eggs on it. He had hash browns on the side. Our only issue was both of our potatoes were not good. The food was not good the plating was not great. My fiancé ordered the French toast and I had the patty melt and quite a bit of the powdered sugar was on my patty melt. Pretty disappointed with their ability to just keep them separate. The service was alright the waitress would yell across the dining area to talk to another guest. The ambiance was not that good either it's too dark in the restaurant. And last but not least do not spend your money here there was a time where it used to be good. We asked for some fries like hash browns and they gave us the bottom of the bag which is unacceptable and the cherry on top is charging $4.50 for it. read more
