Would not recommend this place. My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I've been in the hospital due to having sepsis so because of being out of work and having to pay for medication im struggling bad, especially because my kids father passed away last year so I'm a single mom at that. - just wanted a refund, they couldn't provide it, well they could but they didn't want to. I'm losing my faith in humanity as it is. This is a shitty ass company. I even paid for shirts that they're not sending us! These people don't have hearts and they're selfish. plus after talking to others, I'm glad I never sent my kids here since they don't watch kids properly. read more

Do NOT send your kids to Skillz4Kidz ‼ (Slightly long post incoming) Skillz4Kidz is completely irresponsible and negligent to the safety and well being of children's lives. I signed my two kids up to participate in "camp" this week at the Burlington location while they were on break from school. Upon arriving at drop off this morning, I was informed by Coach Chidel that they were going to be taking all the kids to the park. When I raised concern why we were not made aware of any "field trips" before hand, there was no explanation. I then asked how they were transporting the kids. I was told in a van. I asked if they had proper car seats to transport my kids in, as they are only 5 years old and under 40 pounds, they require a 5 point harness car seat. I was assured MANY times they had proper car seats and knew of proper car seat safety. I found out at the end of the day, that both of my children were transported without any car seat or booster seat. When I found out, I immediately called the Skillz 4 Kidz office and Stacey answered the phone. I expressed my HUGE concern over their lack of safety protocols for my children, not requiring signed permission slips, and being lied to by Chidel. I received no sympathy, concern, or accountability from Stacey on the situation. I requested a call from Shannon to discuss this situation further. I received a call back 15 minutes later from Stacey. She informed me that she had spoken with Shannon and they wanted to let me know they weren't legally required to have kids in car seats in their van and they "forgot to send an email out about taking the kids to the park." I let them know this was still completely unacceptable as I was assured my children would be transported in proper car seats and I would not have let them stay at the facility if I was told otherwise. I still received no concern or accountability. Upon doing my own research of North Carolina laws, they are LEGALLY required to transport any kid under 8 years or 40 pounds in a proper car seat for their age, height, and weight. When I called back to the office, Alex answered. When I informed him of the situation and that they illegally transported my children today, I once again received NO accountability for the actions of this business. I was completely blown off by everyone at Skillz4Kidz. Do NOT send your children to any of their facilities. read more

I enrolled my son who is almost 4 into their martial arts summer training program a few months ago. It was very affordable and he loved it, so we got him on a 6 month program so he can work towards new goals & earn his belts. Mr. Alex & his student helpers are awesome! They are friendly, fun & patient, yet also serious about discipline when teaching the students. My son has a blast and looks forward to it every week. He has grown in skill, relationships & physical strength in such a short period of time & loves teaching his little sis all his new moves. They really make my son feel special here, rewarding stripes on his belt for new achievements, positive reinforcement after completing a task, & just recently a "most improved" trophy which he got after advancing to the next belt. I also love how parents sit right off the mat to watch each class! Skillz4Kidz martial arts program is where it's at! read more

Skillz 4 Kidz is an awesome facility. They have lots of different activities for your child to get moving. We attended an event they had at Christmas and my daughters had a blast. They never stopped playing and laughing. This is so important now a days because so many children sit in front of video games or electronic devices. Skillz 4 Kidz is determined to keep kids interactive. They are always coming up with new ideas for the children. Stop by and visit / tour their facility and see for yourself. read more
