You won't find a cooler instructor. Sean gave clear instructions prior to hitting the water. My 11yr old had never surf'd before and he rode every wave possible. Sean gives great customer service and makes it very easy to rent all you need. Everything is done online and he drives to wherever you are to drop off/pick up boards. Sean gave my son a skimboarding lesson on Makena Beach. Within minutes Sean had him doing the longest glides he had ever done. Halfway into the lesson he was skimming down the beach and straight into and over small waves. It would have taken all summer and a lot of YouTube videos to accomplish half of this on his own. Sean was able to teach my 6 yr old daughter to surf in 1 lesson. She was able to get up and ride waves. Sean was able to teach her how to surf herself but always stayed close to assist her and maintain a safety at all times. Sean was also super friendly and patient while instructing ing my daughter. Our 2 sons (ages 10 and 13) loved their time with Sean learning some great basics and a few fun moves to work on to improve their beginner-ish skills and confidence. My son skims on the East coast and wanted to try out the waves in Maui. We initially rented a skim board for the week. Sean met us at our hotel and brought several boards to choose from. He also told us about some of the great local beaches. Sean also checked in after the first day to make sure my son was enjoying the skim board.
