Jorge is one of the sweetest, lovely, knowledgeable humans in the skincare industry. When we saw him, it was game over. We instantly loved the person he is, genuinely. After he tried us on a few products, needless to say, we were SOLD! I'm 45. I've never had botox or fillers. I use +voupre every morning and I couldn't be happier. Furthermore! If you've purchased products and fallen in love (which how could you not), and the drive to his shop is too far... HE WILL SHIP TO YOU!! Let me repeat! HE WILL SHIP TO YOU! Anyways. I didn't have a "negative" service at this salon but it was "mediocre" at best, especially for the…read morecost. This salon is easily $100-$125 more expensive just because of the area it's in, keep that in mind. Overall, I would give my hair a 6 out of 10 and my experience a 4 out of 10. I got a partial "balayage" and hair cut, and at this point I know that some salons don't do actual hair painting, it's basically sporadically placed color, and while the color itself is fine, I don't anticipate this growing out as well as it has other times I've gotten my hair done - I can tell because I've been getting my hair done for 20+ years at this point so that's a little unfortunate. But aside from this, I would have appreciated if she let me know she was charging me for more color - other salons haven't done this as often, but they do let me know when they do. Even with full "balayage" at other places, I haven't always been charged for more color so this was unexpected. Even if she just gave me a heads up though, I would have appreciated it. The haircut was very basic and simple even though I asked for long layers. The blow dry was also "okay" - I ended up going home and adding more volume into it myself. Most importantly though - the stylist was not engaging at all. I'm a new customer, she didn't ask anything about me. Made no effort to put in conversation with me. It is so unlike any experience I've had at a hair salon. I even asked her questions to get the ball rolling and there was barely anything back. 3-4 hours in a salon chair is a long time for such lack of conversation, it's very disappointing. Like I said - my experience wasn't "bad" or "horrible" but I am not going back and I would not recommend the salon.

Most recently Body Frenzy (the sign outside the shop reads Body Frenzy) aka Body Friendly Carmel was closed for a few months due to COVID 19. Today, June 13, 2020 this shop and many others in Carmel by the Sea are open for business but with social distancing rules. I came inside the store and bought a few items- soap and bath bombs. The Co-Owner was in the store and he was friendly and helpful. In other reviews it mentioned the aggressive sales tactics and it's true - I've witnessed this before. I've never succumbed to the aggressive sales tactics. Today there were no aggressive sales tactics just good customer service. I came in with a mission to buy what I needed and that is what happened. They put various Introstem creams on my face and showed me how they cost thousands of dollars on the website, and then offered a set to me for $350 or $900. It is a short lasting trick that isn't great for your skin. So glad I didn't buy any of it!

My husband had heard of Cos Bar ALL the way in Paso Robles, and had spoken of coming here for years!! He had a lot of questions about the perfumes and colognes that were being sold there, and again, Lisa and Shanna were on it! I don't know what everybody's talking about with rude associates, that's not true at all!! I hate when people do that... I mean, to each their own but the atmosphere in here was so professional. I think that can't be true, and I'm very honest if I feel there's a chance of that. There's not here. We had questions about the makeup for my daughter as well, and Lisa related to being a parent while helping me choose colors for a 13 year old - which matched and looked great! Our daughter ended up buying some Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and gloss. We purchased a really nice cologne and were gifted a COOL red bag full of goodies!! They were also very patient with my son who hung around too, we all felt so welcome there.
