This place and owner is a gem. After more than a year and half of not having any professional facials, I went to Christina. (Tip: There is parking behind the house. The main door is on the side. The door opens to a small lobby for all the professionals in the house.) Her room is very calming. She asks questions about what you liked and didn't like in any previous facials. If you're looking for a place to get an amazing facial and take care of your skin, look no further than Christina. I hadn't had a facial since I was in high school/community college and it was something constantly on my To-Do List, especially as my age has started to increase numerically year by year. My roommate and several coworkers recommended Christina to me and I was not disappointed. It was super easy to get an appointment using her online booking system (Yelp makes it easy too). It's not hard to find either and if you go in the back entrance up the ramp, you're pretty much right outside her area. There was plenty of parking too (I had a Saturday appointment). I went in for her acne-focused facial and left with glowing, beautiful skin. My pores never looked smaller and between the facial itself, the hand treatment, and the amazing hand and arm massage she gave me, I was in relaxed bliss the entire rest of the day. Christina is extremely nice and will explain everything to you and what products she's using. Like another reviewer said, she has a very calming presence too. I made an appointment for her oxygenating facial this month and I'm just as excited to try that. Coming to Christina for my skin was the best skin-care decision I have ever made. I have been on prescription acne medication since I was a teenager, and nothing ever fully resolved my issues. I've dealt with problematic acne since I was about 12 years old, and now being 21 I can say that after having received treatments from Christina, this is the clearest I've seen my skin since I was kid. I've tried so many different products over the years including proactive, curology, natural Lush products, dermatologist prescribed ointments and oral antibiotics, and just about every over the counter skin care line. Nothing worked for me until I found Christina! I received the acne rescue facials and high frequency treatments. Being someone who has sensitive skin and has never received a facial, Christina made me feel super comfortable during my first appointment. She lets her clients know exactly what products she will use and what they do for your skin. I also love that she personalizes the facial according to a skin evaluation upon your first visit. Along with the treatments, she recommended I start using the PCA acne line. LET ME TELL YOU, I have never loved a skin care line more! The face wash does not dry my skin like basically every other product has, the acne cream works wonders in reducing pimples overnight or within a few days, and the Clearskin moisturizer does not make me feel greasy and leaves my face so soft! With a facial every so often and consistency with my acne skin care routine, I have not seen huge grade 3 acne in a long time, and my acne scarring is clearing up. Having acne for nearly my entire adolescence, I had given up on having nice, normal skin. I am so grateful I came across Skin Care by Christina because I never thought my skin would be this clear. Found a long-lost gift certificate from a pre-COVID silent auction and am SO glad I did! My oxygenating facial felt amazing and the treatment was so relaxing. As other reviewers stated, Christina is wonderful, explaining everything and not recommending purchases if you check the "I'm just here to relax" box on her intake form. My face (and hands!) enjoyed the pampering. I think I'll have to make this a regular treat and visit several times a year, rather than my past practice of every 2-3 years, trying new aestheticians because I didn't love their facials.
