They were booked almost two months out, but I was able to secure a cancellation appointment and was seen the week after I called! From the outside, Lakes Dermatology is unsuspecting. It looks very industrial. The second you walk in however, you're in a brand new, gorgeous facility. The lobby is bright and white with comfy modern furniture. The person who helped me at the desk was very friendly and I was able to complete all my paperwork in advance. I was a little early, but only waited about 10 minutes to be seen. Dr. Ahmed was great! She listened well, asked good questions, and took my concerns seriously. She was super helpful when I asked for skin product recommendations, giving me both budget friendly options I could buy anywhere and some products that they sold in-house. My experience was great and I will totally be back!

With her care my son's skin is looking SO GOOD! He started with one regimen of oral and topic Rx's. When that reached its max result, and he then started Isotretinoin (Accutane), the results have been great. He's in has last month of meds, and after completing and having 2 months off meds he'll go in for laser skin treatments. Looking forward to the end results he so deserves :)

I originally scheduled a mole check and had one additional question, but was told I couldn't address anything beyond the mole exam during that visit. I ended up making a separate appointment for my other question, which required me to take time off work. The provider saw me for about two minutes (literally) to answer my question, and I was still charged a full visit fee. A medical staff said that didn't seem accurate that I couldn't do both in the same visit. I reached out to the billing department but nothing was resolved. I guess it's my fault for saying I had an additional question when I called to make the appointment. Next time I won't. I was told some providers allow you to ask an additional question or a couple of questions during an appointment, and some don't. I gave two stars because I did genuinely like the providers themselves, but I won't be returning.

When it came about that Mohs was necessary to remove a basal cell carcinoma from my scalp, Dr. Tschetter, her assistant, Shayna, and her scheduling coordinator, Christina, were all fantastic at helping me out. I was able to get an appointment for the same week that I called, they kept me calm and answered all of my questions. Even though I had to go back 3x to get cancer removed, I was glad that Dr. Tschetter was conservative in her approach so that I'll have minimal scarring. She was also meticulous about how she closed up the site so that I will have a straight-line scar along the center part of my hair - it'll be imperceptible once it's fully healed. I am really optimistic about my recovery and couldn't be more thankful that I landed at Dermatology Specialists for this procedure.

While a nice guy - I was left feeling like another number. You speak to the medical assistant for a while and Dr. Crutchfield comes in for, I'm not even joking, 45 seconds. I've had two appointments and this was the case both times. With past dermatologists, I spent more time with the Doctor then the MA. The staff is friendly and so is Dr. Crutchfield but spending more individual time on each patients unique history makes a big impact when someone plans on being a loyal patient.

The last appointment was my last appointment when I waited so long I had to leave for another appointment before being seen. I can understand being late on occasions but this is habitual which tells me she has no respect for her patients and their time.
