It would be one thing to get a procedure from here, but I'm so disappointed with the cost and results of various serums I got there. I spent $500 on a serum, a moisturizer, and some other facial lotion serum that was in a little larger pump bottle, that turned out to have almost nothing in it, not even a months worth. I just wanted some stuff to even my skin tone and the very knowledgeable lady sold me crap that does literally nothing. Zero difference 60 days later. I got a simple dark spot serum on Amazon for $20. It actually works, big difference in less than a month. Their skin care is for rich people with money to set on fire basically. I wish I wouldn't have wasted that gift card darn it. Now I'm using cheap crap and the expensive craps collecting dust. ‍ read more

Have good services and have always come here for waxing, etc. made an appt for a facial last Friday and the price was $110 when I booked it. Got here for the service and they had changed their pricing to $125. I was actually floored that they wouldn't honor the price for when the service was booked. The girl was pretty snippy and said we changed our pricing and that's the price now. Put a bad taste in my mount for future business. She wasn't nice about it at all. I cant stand entitlement which is how she acted. Maybe kris should stay in the back of the house and not deal with customers. read more

This place is great. I was a little concerned trying them out as I worked in the Aesthetics industry for 6 yrs. in California were Aesthetics is almost as common as hair salons and very competitive. I am so disappointed after my wax. I don't have sensitive skin at all. The woman who did my wax was so sweet and i really liked her but i left extremely burned and irritated. She plucked my eyebrows and snagged my skin 7-8 times while trying to pluck. I will not be back to skin chic for injections, waxing, or botox. read more

I phoned for a facial moisturizer with SPF as it was recommended to me by a friend. There were able to look up her purchases and give recommendations. We selected a Physical Fusion UV Defense by SkinCeuticals with SPF 50. It has Zinc and Titanium. They shipped it to me even tho I am local which was great! I have used it for a few days now and I really like it. They also included a couple of samples of other products which I have not yet tried. Very nice people that work in the southgate mall location. But there is one particular employee that has made me look like a clown every time I go there. I specifically ask her to not go dark for a brow lamination and every time she makes me look terrible. This time I had to go home and try to salvage my brow shape and make myself look presentable for work tomorrow. So I just wasted my money on that which sucks but more irritated on how this lady thinks that her work looks okay. Just to clarify this is one particular person, the others that have down my lashes, brow lamination have been really good. But this was the last straw and will not be getting my lashes done or brows done here again. read more

They are known for mineral makeup, although they carry several cosmoceutical skin care lines that are seriously awesome. I usually have good experiences here. However this last time I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with what I was left with. I usually go in for a "Brazilian maintenance" wax. (more than a bikini wax and less than full Brazilian). Have done this many times by several ladies and it's $45. Excellent in the past and worth the drive to town for it. This last time was a new girl Ally who I hadn't worked with but has been working there since July. She wasn't prepared. Kept leaving the room to get things with me exposed on the table. Then to make matters worse she completely botched my bikini area. She apologized that "her triangle skills weren't great today". I told her that it's ok, a strip will work. Not my preference but given what she had done to me it was the only way to salvage it. She then kept slapping the wax on raw areas to try and fix it. Well it wasn't until I got home and saw that she had actually burned me and I still have patches of hair that should have been removed. So by her own admission she had given me a full Brazilian wax because she kept messing up. I have burned skin with patches of hair still there that were missed and some hair that wasn't removed fully by the root and only broken off. Then to add insult to injury (literally) she had the nerve to charge me $60 for the Brazilian wax that I had to have because she messed up. I will not be back. read more

I've been going to Skin Chic for brow and lip waxing for many years but lately the quality just hasn't been there. The last two times I have gone in for a brow waxing, my skin (which is not sensitive to wax at all) has been left burnt and irritated. Neither time did the lady acknowledge at all what she had done, despite it being very clear that some patches had been damaged. I also scheduled an appointment the past time, but still ended up waiting over 20 minutes for a brow waxing. Not a single worker there apologized for the wait. On top of this, the price of the waxings have gone up, even with the quality rapidly declining. I have also had my makeup done twice at Skin Chic for special events and neither time was I impressed by the work as my makeup lasted a solid 2 hours before it started crumbling off. I used to love this place and recommend it to everyone I knew, but this is no longer the case. read more
