The morning of, I called to pay in advance and was told to either pay at the front desk or send payment immediately through Venmo. The owner texted me her Venmo, so I sent $180 using Venmo Purchase Protection. After payment, I was told it was "on hold" and that they hadn't received it, even though the money had already left my bank. I sent proof of the transaction. Shortly after, my appointment was canceled. I was told I would be refunded, but I never received the money. My calls and texts were ignored until I called from another number, at which point I was told to "talk to Venmo" instead. I had to open a dispute through Venmo Purchase Protection and was eventually refunded through Venmo, not the business. This was handled very unprofessionally from start to finish. I recommend reading the other 1-star reviews as well, because they show a pattern in how the owner handles situations and treats customers. ---- UPDATE in response to the owner's reply (Google review): Their response leaves out key context. My concern is not the Venmo processing delay itself, but how the situation was handled afterward. I did not repeatedly request anything. I have proof of that as well. I followed up twice, and requested on Venmo like they had told me to. The issue remains the lack of communication, lack of basic professionalism, failure to issue the promised refund, and how the situation was handled once the payment issue arose. No business should ignore a customer and leave them with no explanation.

It appears it took a pandemic for me to find the right therapist! Shh), and at that point, I happily became a case study for her sister, Ms Hillary who is a future Physical Therapist in training. That was very rewarding to actually have a licensed massage therapist and a future physical therapist in training, assisting you on your wellness journey. We had a few sessions which provided me deeper understanding as to just how bad my condition is. Thank you Doc for allowing this too. So Grateful. In my thirty plus year journey for wellness, I have been thru five chiropractic programs (each a minimum of 3-6 months), two acupuncture programs (one program for 5 years), two orthopedic surgeons (no surgery), one physical therapy program, numerous medications, countless massage therapists and alternative eastern treatments; all satisfied the issues in the moment, but did not even come close to figuring me out, or even trying to figure me out. Timing is strange, but one thing for sure, Nancy is a healer. My wellness journey is far from over, but the ever difficult mystery to find a therapy center with the best massage therapist to support my mission has now been solved as we are looking forward to "maintenance" massages very soon.

I pride myself for having a very high pain tolerance but I lowkey regret telling her to go "hard" before my session. I didn't realize she was going to spend the majority of my session walking on me. She kept digging into the spot between my scapula and mid back and I was in so much pain that I could not even mutter for her to stop. I asked for more time on my actual shoulders but she said something about having to work on my lower body first. The massage itself was decent but different than what I expected or asked for.
