He didn't understand you start light and work into deep, so he had no sense of touch. Evident he had no training whatsoever. The foot massage drilled into my arch, but didn't do anything on the balls of my feet or my heels. I actually had a heel issue, but there was no mention or questioning if I had any issues. Foot massage was worthless. They obviously addressed the comments about the front desk, he was very nice and polite. Demanding a minimum $15 tip on a $60 massage seems over the top. Not sure what there is to like here but maybe others have different experiences.

I'm seven months pregnant and confirmed ahead of time (multiple times) that prenatal massage was offered. When we arrived, the therapist seemed surprised and said it would have to be "very light." What I received was not a massage--just oil being lightly spread with no technique and just very lightly rubbing my skin, no muscle work, and several areas skipped entirely. She lightly touched a small area of my skin at my upper back/shoulder, touched my neck once or twice. My arms, majority of my back and my legs were skipped. At one point the same spot on my foot was lightly touched for an extended period with no purpose. My husband's experience was just as disappointing. I looked over and saw his therapist sitting on her phone with her feet propped up on the massage table while he was lying face down. When she noticed me watching, she got up and resumed briefly. My husband later confirmed this happened multiple times. She also took a phone call during the session. Overall, this felt very unprofessional and not at all what was advertised. A complete waste of time and money. We try to be understanding, especially with potential language barriers, but this visit felt like a significant mismatch between what was advertised and what was delivered. For the price, we expected a baseline level of professionalism and service that just wasn't met.

This is not atypical so it wasn't a big deal but the start of the whole process felt really fast. Once in the room, the girl just started. She never asked if the pressure was ok or if there were areas that I wanted worked on. It felt like she was rubbing just to rub me down. Nothing felt intentional. Even when I mentioned that I wanted her to work on my shoulder, she went there for a stint and moved about her business to resume her normal programming. What was the most troublesome thing for me was the number of times she left the room for a variety of things. At one point, I told her that I didn't want my face and hair massaged so she went and grabbed her phone and stepped out of the room for approximately 5 minutes. She didn't seem mindful of the time that I was paying for. When it came time to tip at the end, she grabbed the cash ($10 for a $40 service) and did not say thank you or show any appreciation. The folks here didn't really seem to care about the work that they were doing. They seemed really rude and unprofessional. I love going to Asian massage places.
