i went in for a free consultation with envy today! the staff got back to me super fast about this…read moreappointment when i requested a booking on the website two days ago. they took the time to look at the tattoo i wanted, including the size, color, gradient, et cetera, and found an artist who would best create the art i wanted for me. despite being a little late, envy was very, very sweet and attentive, answering all of my questions and making sure to be honest about his abilities and his skills. he explained to me how he does his work and why, which made me trust him and his skills very much. his pricing is a bit steep for me right now, but his work and detail makes it completely worth it. he focuses, he told me, on the skin as much as the art, since he specializes in fine line work. the shop itself was very clean and offered lollipops, which is a huge plus. the music they were playing was great!! love the art on the wall, and the hustle butter deals they offered. front of house staff was very nice. the only thing that is driving me away from the shop is the pricing. while i do believe that the quality of the work they provide is well worth the price, i am a broke college student, so i may need to wait some time to actually book. they price by the hour at 250 dollars (for cash). they take a 100 dollar deposit when booking, which scared me at first, but envy told me that they subtract that deposit from the final price of the appointment. i think that is very generous, and as a customer i appreciate it. i look forward to booking down the line!!

When we walked in the studio I was so impressed with how nice the studio was. The customer service was super nice and Bruce was so easy to work with! Bruce Kaplan absolutely did an amazing job on my tattoo and made me feel comfortable. He answered all of my questions and my husbands questions. We felt so comfortable my husband booked his next tattoo before we left the studio. The prices are fair for the patience, technique and great customer service you receive. I had a vision of what I wanted done as a tribute to my sons and from my initial inquiry through the finishing touches they helped me bring it to life. Communication was spectacular every step of the way - I shared an overview of what I was looking for through those first texts which paved the way for a terrific consultation where Jesse took the time to go over everything, let me know what he needed from me, and provided some great resources for picking out the right font, even providing helpful pointers for what to look for in different fonts so that it would continue to look great for years to come. On arrival day of Jesse already had a mockup ready to go and was more than accommodating with some minor changes I wanted done. I can't say the process was painless for obvious reasons but it was as smooth as one could ever hope for. The work was clean, the price was extremely fair, and I left with a piece I'm super happy with that has already received a bunch of compliments even though it's still in the healing phase. South Shore has my highest recommendation and has definitely won a repeat customer with me. Can't wait to do it again.
