I do not recommend purchasing earrings from Tori's. We spent over $350 on a pair of turquoise studs for my daughter for her third earring holes (stupid me), and one of them fell out within 10 days, and the other one fell apart after 3 weeks. Tori's offered me 15% off to purchase a new pair, as they said it's standard practice throughout the industry to not refund or replace jewelry. Again, I do not recommend purchasing earrings from Tori's. The piercing process was fine and the staff was nice, but this is unacceptable; her (much cheaper) first and second piercings from Claire's lasted for months!!! read more

I would not recommend this place unless you're very young and just getting your first ear lobe piercings. I went twice. The first time, I was happy with my flat rook piercing and thought everything went well. But when I returned for more piercings, it became clear that the piercers don't know how to angle their piercings properly. I got two forward helix piercings that were angled in completely different directions. While the placement was fine, the incorrect angles could easily cause rejection or make the healing process very difficult. A friend got a conch piercing, which did not go straight back it's quite diagonal to where its so close to her head she wouldn't be able to get a hoop in there. It got very swollen, red, and hot, so another piercer had to take the earring out since she was scared it was getting infected or rejecting from the improper angle it was pierced at. Another friend got a forward helix and a flat rook and they were way too close together and when she got the forward helix looked at by another piercer they said they believed they didn't even pierce cartilage because the bar of the earring was so close to the tip of the skin it was going to reject. When we attempted a daith, the experience was terrible. It was excruciatingly painful, so much so that I couldn't even speak for 10 minutes while the piercer tried to push the needle through. The resistance, along with the amount of bleeding, made me wonder if a vein was hit. The piercer had used a light behind my ear but didn't mark the placement properly while doing so, which felt careless. In the end, the jewelry had to be removed, and I left without the piercing. What made it worse is that after the failed attempt, the piercer admitted I didn't have the right anatomy for a daith and that she shouldn't have tried it. I was never told that beforehand, in fact, I was reassured that I had the "perfect anatomy" for it. That left me confused and frustrated. At the very least, I feel like they should have been upfront about the anatomy before starting, and after such a painful experience, some acknowledgment or even a discount would have been appropriate. To make matters worse, they even suggested trying again on the other ear, which I declined. Overall, I would not trust this place for anything beyond basic lobe piercings. They also offer piercing guns for cartilage, which is unsafe and outdated practice. If you're considering more advanced piercings, I recommend finding a studio with more experience and professionalism. read more

She took her daughter to a place near her in suffolk and since this is near me it worked out perfect. Came midday able to find street parking no problem. The place is super cute and tiny you could easily pass it I love that the lady took her time explained everything. We were the only ones in there that day. Right after the tortur was done they had a little alcove in the back where i was able to feed and then change the baby if i needed to which helped calm her. She had some water and snacks. We changed our minds a few times with the earring placement on the lobe but Valentina was patient and accommodating. The establishment was clean and cutely decorated. They provide toys to distract the little ones, have a changing table with diapers and wipes. There's even a backyard area, which we used to distract the baby after. I not only wanted a reputable place but somewhere that was professional, clean and put my anxiety at ease. Prior to booking the appointment I communicated with the staff what I wanted. All of this was done through text. They made sure they provided a waiver (online) , asked if I consulted with her pediatrician in regard to her receiving lidocaine to numb her ears, sent reminded emails as well as text messages about the appointment. Lex brought us to the room as we waited to meet the owner/piercer, Valentina. Lex showed us various earrings, explained the price points and didn't try to sell on any particular item. Our daughter is 6 months old and I wanted to make this experience as pain free as possible. I didn't want her to be tortured or upset. The owner Valentina was so sweet and gentle with our girl. She explained the process, put on a sensory show to distract her as well as chipmunk doll to keep her calm. She reassured us and silenced my fears as she began to pierce her ears. She even provided us with a ear piercing certificate, a Certificate of authenticity for her 14K earrings, as well as after care instructions. Depending on what you choose the piercing along with the earrings can be pricey. We ultimately went with small 14 karat diamond studs. We were charged a 14kGold Service (Pair) Fee: $110.00, a 3point Diamond (G) Pair Fee: $85.00, and a fee for the Piercing Aftercare Spray (Large): $17.00. This is the place I chose to have my baby's ear pierced! I made an appointment online. There's street parking in the vicinity and the place is easily identified because of the lovely storefront. We were whisked away to one of the quaint booths after check in. We were given a load of info and instructions that were a lot to take in, but no worries, they will give a written down one as well. We eventually got to choose which earrings to go with. In a moment, the owner who will do the piercing appeared and marked my baby's ears for symmetry. The earrings were taken out and placed quickly. My baby cried for a few seconds and that was it! She checked herself out in the mirror and we're good to go. The front desk will also sell the aftercare spray. I would give this place zero stars, but I can't unclick the one star. I took my 3-year-old with her friend to get their ears pierced. They were running late and they claim it was because my waiver wasn't filled out but we actually arrived early and the person at the front desk was helping someone else and then was checking in someone else while we were just standing there. My daughter and her friend got her ears pierced, and I got a third hole. The process was fine except for the part where they asked if the marker was okay and my friend wanted to move it and Valentina gave her major attitude even though she asked her if she liked where the marker was. I left the place and a couple minutes later I came back with a blood coming out of my ear. I figured it was normal. Fast forward to the night my friend tells me her daughters earring came out. I thought it was crazy that it came out so easily but didn't think much of it. The next day my daughters earring came out. I understand things happen but a newly pierced earring should not come out. Getting the earrings back in was torture for the three year olds. I called and Valentina told me it could happen. I asked if it was a possibility for them to just send us a new back maybe it was defective. She said I can come back in. I said I don't live around the corner is there anyone you can send a back in the mail. I spent almost $400 and didn't think a back was a big deal. I called back again a couple days later because it fell out again and this time I lost the back of the earring. I had to scramble to find a back in my house because I did not want the whole to close. The next day my daughter goes to school, and it falls out again and we lose the earring. I called and Valentina tells me it is because I put on a back that does not belong on the earring. Long story short I asked for a replacement earring after spending all of this money at the store which was clearly a crap earring and a huge waste of money and HORRRRRIBLE customer service. Yes, I did sign the waiver that says no refunds but she blamed my three year old child for loosing and earring and not having the secure back. This would have been an easy fix if they would have just given me a new back to the earring instead of saying I can come in and pay for a new one. This place is a huge gimmicky placed. My two older children got their ears pierced at Solomons in Albertson and I have a lovely experience. It doesn't have the cool vibe with the fun headbands but they are extremely professional, and I never had any issues. Needless to say, I had a brand-new earring at my house from PIPS from my older child. I got it in her ear and the earring has been secure and cleaned and have had no issues. Valentina who pierced my daughter's ears also explains the steps as well as doing the lines marking and perform the piercing. The process was a breeze and after the piercing, you pay and that's it. Pricing is slightly more than Claire's (who also uses disposable cartridges) or tattoo places. I did my research before coming to Tori's to get my right ear repierced. You have to make an appointment and there is metered parking in front. The store was clean and I didn't have to wait too long to get put into a room. The staff explained the aftercare and prices to me before I picked my earring. They have more options with the cartilage than needle piercing in terms of studs. Whether you get your second piercing or not, the price of the matching earring is the same as if they pierced your second ear. I decided to just get the stainless steel diamond stud for my right ear ($55) instead of the pair for $95. The small bottle of aftercare was $15 so it is quite pricey to get your ears pierced but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. read more

Stay away from this place! Rude, unprofessional owner and Overpriced! We had my daughter ear pierced by Valentina(owner) when I scheduled I was told that Tory will be the one doing our piercing. When we came Valentina said that she will do it. We wanted flat backs so she used needle to pierce ear and then she had to put earrings in. Her hands were shaking and she probably couldn't see well as she used glasses. My daughter was screaming probably for 2-3 minutes as Valentina was trying to put earring in her one ear. Then she started screaming at me that it's because of my bad vibes, because I'm stressing, that she couldn't put earring in. Who wouldn't stress when your baby is screaming and her ear is all bloody( Valentina screamed at me multiple times to leave the shop or she wouldn't proceed. Then when she did first ear she said she won't do the second one if I won't leave the shop. Instead of instructing us how we can help to do it fester and without stressing my baby Valentina decided to scream and blame me for her behavior and incompetence. All I did all that time is that I was talking to my baby trying to calm her down. I don't think it's ok to do baby piercing when your hands are shaking and you can't basically see what you are doing. They double-charged me for a service and then lied about it twice. When I confronted the owner with paper evidence of the lie, she laughed in my face and told me she does this to people all the time and always wins. I know this may sound cliche but if I could give Tori's Place 10 stars I would. Valentina and her mom were incredibly friendly. I brought my 5 month old daughter Isabella to Tori's place based on other positive reviews and they were right. What impressed me the most was the openness and friendliness they showed to my 3 year old son that can be a tad hyper. Valentina let him play with her pillows, run around and even brought out toys for him. She really payed a great amount of attention on him and it was quite nice. Her studio is very clean and welcoming. We were there for an hour because we chose to numb my daughters ears but it didn't feel like it. She had a good selection of earrings and explains everything very thoroughly. Valentina was able to center the piercing without a problem. Went there to get my daughter's ear pierced. She is one years old. Valentina was assigned to us. I found her to be too rough with my daughter and the place was not kid friendly at all. We were surprised as this place was highly recommended by many people. She was not gentle with my daughter and my daughter did not respond favorably to her. She cried and we had to leave without getting the piercing. They still charged us 130 dollars for the visit since the earings were removed from the package and no longer "sterile". This place will try to sell You on how clean their space is and the sterile techniques they use. It's really not that serious and most of us got our piercings done at Clairs at the mall..and did just fine. What they try to see is a farce. If you still decide to go to spend a lot of money on an ear piercing, and you have a young child, ask for another stylist other than Valentina read more

Where the heck can you take an infant to get their ears pierced ? This was a question that had obviously never crossed my mind until I had my daughter and we found out that our pediatrician didn't offer the service. This is going to be a lengthy review for all you moms who are interested in every detail ( like I was!!) Being a nurse and a complete clean freak I have to admit, I panicked and as per usual, I over researched. I knew I didn't want to take her to a place that used a gun, I didn't want to take her to the germy mall, and I wasn't sold on using someone that hasn't pierced a lot of ears. Then I thought to myself we go to the doctor for checkups and shots, I don't want her to immediately be upset because we are going to the doctor. I wanted her to feel excited that we were going somewhere new. That's when I found Tori's place. After reading through stellar reviews I called and made an appointment for the next week. I can't lie, I was still nervous but when we got there I was totally at ease. The space is pretty and most importantly extremely clean. You can tell that they take pride in their work area. The owner and her mom were such sweethearts - and she's been doing this for 17 years - huge bonus and her years of experience shows in her skill. They explained the whole process, had no hesitation answering all of our questions, spent time helping us choose earrings and took the time to show us the difference between their cartridge piercing system vs piercing guns. Which is much cleaner and more sanitary. When we came in they applied some lidocaine (at our request) to our daughter's ears to take the edge off. The placement of the earrings was absolutely perfect and virtually painless. One cry from our girl and by the time she caught her breath the other side was done. She got a cute "brave kid" certificate and we were out the door. If you're a mom looking for a place to take your little one and are like me - a total nut - I highly recommend stopping your search and just going here. I took my 10 month old and 4 year old to get their ears pierced. I cannot even begin to describe how comfortable they made them feel, specifically my 4 year old and how easy the whole process was. They had a spot for the baby car seat so it didn't feel crowded anywhere and the decor of the place was SO cute. Valentina was the one that did the piercings and her energy was just so great. She made my 4 year old feel so special, talked her through the whole process and had the most comforting energy. She pierced both ears at the same time which saved us all so much anxiety since my 4 year old just had to sit still once and be done. She was so smooth with the baby, gave such good advice on what to do as soon as she was done to calm the baby down and in the end both girls got a certificate for being so brave.
