The receptionists that this business chooses to employ never care about doing their job. I called to make an appointment on Thursday 4/18/24, they gave me an appointment for Tuesday 4/23/24. I made sure that they knew I was driving from an hour away. I was called an hour before my appointment to confirm & go over the fees. When I show up at my appointment, the receptionist said that I wasn't in their system at all & refused to see me. (I'm not even a new patient, I've been here before & the receptionists are always unhelpful). I have confirmation of my appointment and don't know why they turned me away. I feel like they just wanted to go home early. Very unprofessional. I would not want my business to be represented this way. Get better receptionists & have better communication. Sooo...it's really spotty when it comes to customer service overall. I agree with other posts that say the office bills inappropriately and then has to return money later...a bit frustrating. I need a cyst removed. Went in to see them, saw a perfectly nice technician who took pictures and said they'd call me. About a week later I get a message from "Chris" the doctor's scheduling nurse. I call back. He's at lunch - it's 11:15, he won't be back until 12:45. Ok, no worries, guy's gotta eat. I leave a message to call me, please. Three days later I call again. Chris is out today. Ok, can he call me back? Yes, he will. Next week I call...Chris is out all week. Ummm...whut? Ok, I've now left three messages, can he call me back? Can I schedule with someone else? He will definitely call me back. He needs to schedule. Next week. I call...last time. I don't mention Chris, I just ask to schedule. This throws them into a tailspin...who's the nurse? I can't find the nurse...who did you talk to? Who are you? What's going on? Fine, I say, I am returning Chris' call from two weeks ago. Ohhhh...Chris is here but he's busy right now...he'll call you later. I say, "I'm not sure that's true..." Oh yes he will. You know what happened. Yes, you do. Say it with me...no call. I guess you gotta be impressed that they can throw away business so easily. I've had a good experience before with them, but this t'weren't it. Don't waste your time! I made my appointment 3 weeks out. Gave them my insurance information over the phone. Sent them pictures in their portal. They said no problem. I got here today and they said they don't take Blue Shield PPO Gold, the most expensive plan they have. I have never ever been told that with this insurance. Not impressed and very disappointed. I originally came her for a second opinion regarding treatment for psoriasis, but had a few more skin related questions to ask. I was told by the intake nurse I was only allowed to ask questions on two topics. I found this strange and unprofessional. I came in for a second visit to have some small cysts removed from my head. They did a good job and the area healed. When I came in for stick removal, I thought the stitches were removed but when I got home I could clearly see and feel several stitches not removed. When I came in for a second time that day, the male doctor or PA who removed the stitches (a female first attempted earlier) justified the failure to remove of the first employee by saying the stitches wee "hard to see." That was the worst part, he wouldn't acknowledge that someone messed up or that they wasted by time by having to drive there a second time AND pull me away from work. read more

This was the last chance I gave Skin Physicians as I have been disappointed in the care following a procedure I had months ago. I made a follow up appointment and requested to see an MD. When I showed up they told me the provider I was scheduled to see did not take my insurance? I felt that was something that should have been noticed prior to my appointment. I was told I could pay out of pocket to see her, which is insane, or see someone else. I was then taken to see a different physician who was understanding of my concerns, though the MA was very rude and condescending. I have had multiple follow ups and seen several physicians over the last 5 months only to be told it looks "fine" and "sorry you didn't receive the outcome you were hoping for". After all this I believe patient care is no longer their priority and maybe it's just the money. I will not be returning nor recommending. read more

PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If I can give no stars I would. I first visited this place in 2021 and everything was perfect. I saw Dr. Shanon Lambert, a PA, not MD, but she was good. The fee was around 130 for first-time patients and 90 for established ones in 2021. It was the time before this clinic joined a big Dermatology group. In 2023 December, I called to ask about the consultation fee. The lady who answered said it was 178 for a base fee for a first-time patient. I told her I was not a first-time patient. She said I haven't visited more than a year so I was no longer an established patient. THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE MY RECORD. New-time patients will be charged 178 on the day you visit as a base fee. If you get more service on that day, you will be billed an invoice for whatever exceeds 178. The fee will not be more than 250 for that day in total. I understand inflation rising from 130 to 178 just for a consultation, so I made an appointment. On that day, the consultation was less than 8 minutes, Dr.Shanon just talked to me about my meds. It turned out they DO HAVE MY VISITS AND MEDS RECORD. Before we ended the consultation, I confirmed with her and the assistant that I would not be charged anything extra. (To be honest, they did not do anything other than just talk to me and check my face just by looking.) THEY TOLD ME NOTHING EXTRA WOULD BE CHARGED and I was good to go. Before I left, I even confirmed with the lady at the front desk, I told her the PA had my meds record and I was not a first-time patient. I asked if I could only pay the established patient price which was 150. She agreed and put 28 dollar credits for my next visit. THEN THREE WEEKS LATER I GOT AN INVOICE THAT SAID I OWED THE DERMATOLOGY GROUP 96 DOLLARS. Its insane!!!! I called and could not reach anyone in the office. EVERY TIME YOU CALL YOU ONLY REACH AUTOMATIC PHONE SERVICE. I WAITED FOR 55 MINS TO GET SOMEBODY WHO WORKS IN THE CALL CENTER TO ANSWER MY CALL. The lady on the phone said there was nothing she could do. She was just the billing department of the group. The office was the one that sent the bill. SHE SAID IT SHOULD BE 300 DOLLARS FOR FIRST-TIME PATIENTS. This clinic misinformed people and has hidden charges without telling the patients on the same day. We went back to the office to ask if this unreasonable charge could be resolved. The lady at the front desk said we signed an agreement and we agreed to be subject to whatever charges. I AM LIKE EXCUSE ME?????? THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE!!!! If you decide to visit this place, be aware that you will get an unexpected invoice weeks after your visit. read more

I called and set up my appointment with a doctor a month before I was to go in, filled out all the paperwork that was sent on the text message, and one day before they called me that Dr. Gill changed and doesn't do full body checks after 3pm. My appointment was 3:15pm. So I made a new day/time with the front desk. A few hours later, I received a call back telling me that actually she doesn't take my insurance, which is PPO, Anthem Blue Cross. I canceled the appointment and the lady at the front told me that a different doctor, Dr. Fronek ,does take my insurance. So I made the appointment with her. I go in on the day/time; and the woman at the front desk told me no one in the office takes that insurance and that I'd have to pay $180. Needless to say I walked out very upset. They need to get their act together. I wasted my time and money traveling to their location when I could have gone to someone else and not wasted valuable time. Went for several years. They found 2 melanoma cancer moles early in stage 1, and they also found 1 regular sun skin cancer mole also in stage 1. Saved my life probably. Cool people. Clean and pleasant place. They even had a former biopsy company that gave me 50% off for paying out-of-pocket. So funny, Dr. Rebish came up as the closest provider who took my insurance. It dawned on me after I made the appointment (with a PA) that this was Dr Pimple Popper's office. I'm one of those sick people who loves blackhead videos and have been watching her since my Florida days. This has been my dermatologist for years. Dr. Lee was my doctor and now of course I only get the PA's. That's not really the reason for the Yelp though. I honestly can not (no matter what button you push) get anyone on the phone. They all think you are trying to get an appointment with Dr. Lee. I have a billing questions that I need answered from this office. Last time I was in there they said I had a credit on the account. I just received a bill and now I want to apply the credit. The billing company is not able to see credit and asked me to call the office in Upland. This is so frustrating and unnecessary. Get some customer service. Unreal! read more

I sent my husband to Dr, Rebish for 2 pilar cyst and concerning spots on certain spots on his body. So far only one cyst was removed and he has to go back for a second time for the other. When Dr Lee removes pilers cysts for people on her show, I've seen her remove a lot on some people? For the spots, he had his wife check one of them and that turned out to be cancer. It was removed with great success but, you would think they would check the rest of his body JUST IN CASE? Nope!! They're nice people but, as professionals where's the love??? They need to do their job as a professional dermatologists! They "act" like one on TV!! It feels like it's more about the $$ than it is the patient? If they pull it together, I'll change my rating! Went to get a skin tag removed. They put a Physician Assistant on me even though I had amazing insurance. She numbed me, clipped it and the cauterized the open wound. It got infected. I went back. Demanded a doc. He did the same thing. Never healed right. This was two-years ago and they're still bugging me for $57 from an insurance underpay. Thank god I went to a real plastic surgeon who injected the now keloid scar to alleviate some of the pain and unsightly gore. I should have sued but since your collections department wants to threaten to put $57 on my credit, I'm going public. I'm also sending you your chump change this week to save my credit and hopefully this post saves a life. read more

I used to go see Dr. Sandra Lee. She was the best! She was funny, kind, and really took her time. When I didn't see her, I would see her PA Erin Jensen. She was great. That was before... The last time I saw Dr. Lee she told me if my brown spot comes back to make sure I called and came in right away. Well it came back, so I called. They asked me if I was a new patient. I said no. I gave them my new insurance. They set up my appointment. I showed up on time and I paid my co-pay. I did not see Dr. Lee, I saw Kari hall,PA. She came in. Spent two minutes with me. Very rushed. Told me she could remove the black spot which was totally covered by my insurance. But she cannot remove the white spots because those were "cosmetic" and were not covered by insurance. I said sure. Remove the dark spot for me. Fast forward two months later I get a $250 bill from the insurance company. Seems that this is a "new" company therefore I am a " new" patient. WHAT. AND...They are an OUT of net work office so therefore I had to pay the $250 co-pay. Now I ask, why did they say everything was fully covered? Why did they take my $45 co-pay? I asked these questions and I am told that I am a new patient and nothing was covered. Nobody wants to address the issues. If I was out of network, why wasn't and I told this when they took my co-pay? Why did the PA say it was fully covered by my insurance? If I would have known this, I would have went to an office that was in network, like they were the last time! Needless to say, I paid the $250, which I didn't have. He has gained his confidence back. His face looks so much clearer and smoother. Everyday is an improvement. I'm so happy and relieved for my son. We finally have a resolution. I came in to have something looked at on my face as well as cysts I would like removed. They took a biopsy of the blemish on my face and pictures of my cysts to show the doctor. When calling to discuss my biopsy results they waited until 15 minutes before closing on Friday and left me a message stating that I needed to call on Monday as they can't release the results over voice-mail. I had to call back a couple times to get the right person on the phone who told me my biopsy came back positive for skin cancer. Once treatments were outlined it was evident that I needed to use my insurance to take care of this, however, it took another hour and a half drive to the clinic and week of phonecalls to get someone to fax my results to my insurance so I could continue with treatment. Highly unprofessional considering the diagnosis of skin cancer. It has been over a month since my visit and I still have not been called in regards to my cysts they took pictures of for Dr. Sandra Lee. I was told I would here back within the same time frame as my biopsy. This clinic does not treat it's guests properly. There must be too much business for the clinic to handle but they insist on creating appointments. They just take the consultation fees and don't call most clients back. I called in advance to find out how much it would cost to remove 1 tiny wort. We did not have insurance. They gave me a price over the phone without mentioning anything else, so I was prepared to pay for the procedure upfront and have it settled. After an hour drive to the place and waiting a couple of hours for the treatment, we left home. They did not say anything to us before we left. A month later we got a bill in the mail for almost the same amount we paid upfront. I called and was told they forgot to mention to us before we left that there was extra charge for treatment, and that we only paid for the consultation. Hope this info helps others. read more

Skin Physicians has amazing doctors. My doctor, Dr. Gill, really goes above and beyond. I was 36 weeks pregnant when she diagnosed me with shingles at an extremely early stage. Right away she knew what it was and what needed to be done immediately to treat this before the virus got really bad. Dr. Gill not only contacted my OB to ensure he was aware and agreed with her treatment suggestion, but also had her MA follow up with me and she personally followed up with me a week later just to see how I was feeling. Even in regard to past appointments with Dr. Gill, it has always been extremely apparent that she is a very caring provider. She really listens and is never in a rush. I was referred to Dr. Lee by a friend of mine who had gotten her earlobes redone. Dr. Lee did an amazing job on my friends ears and I was hopeful that she could help me out with a lipoma I have. This was overall very disappointing and not what I'd expect from such a highly renowned clinic. First off I want to start off by letting you know that you don't get to see Dr. Lee unless you schedule surgery with her. She does not do your initial exam, which is fine and typical for high profile doctors. I expected to see a nurse practitioner. Ok here's the nitty gritty: Yes, they charge to hold an appointment but that's just to weed out the looky loos and flakes. They use what you put down at the time of booking toward your exam. Pretty standard. The appointment was on time and the girls at the front desk were pleasant. Here's the problem... the NP I saw was Pratibha Kayastha and she was very nice however, she told me upon examination that she thought all I needed was lipo but she wasn't sure and needed Dr. Lee to review my photos. She asked me in the exam room if I would be willing to come back to have an additional consultation with Dr. Lee free of charge because she wasn't sure if what she was telling me was factual and wanted a second opinion. I live in Los Angeles which is about an hour and a half away and agreed that this was fine. One huge red flag... I have seen 3 dermatological surgeons, a dermatologist and 2 GPs regarding this issue. I have previously scheduled 2 surgeries for my lipoma, was told I was going to have a 4 inch scar etc. And then I show up with this NP and am told all I need is liposuction but that she isn't sure if that's the case. I went to Dr. Lee for the sole fact that she does her procedures under local anesthetic and I really wanted to avoid general anesthesia which I was told, by some of the top surgeons in Los Angeles, was my best option. I told Pratibha that I had seen multiple doctors and been diagnosed differently and questioned why she would feel different and she did explain that she didn't feel margins on my bump etc. However, that is when she backtracked and mentioned that I may need to come back for an additional review with Dr. Lee, which again, I was fine with. Also, side note, her lab coat was about three sizes too large for her which made her look very unprofessional. As someone who works in the medical field and runs a practice I would never have my staff look that way. I mean you are selling t-shirts at check out, why can't you ensure that your staff is properly clothed. I digress, the tech who roomed me, as I was leaving stated that I should expect a call within 2 weeks and that I should call if I didn't hear from them in that time frame. OF COURSE, I don't hear from them in 2 weeks so I call. The receptionist tells me it takes up to 3 weeks to hear back which is fine, I understand things can take longer than expected. So I call back a week later to which they tell me they will call me back soon and that my file is under review. Another week goes by and I call and the woman I spoke to is literally the rudest person I have ever had a conversation with (why be in client service if you don't like the client) however she got the job done. She told me that I shouldn't expect a call back in any given time period, to which I responded "then you shouldn't give out timeframes if you don't plan on sticking to them". Again, she told me she put my file on the appropriate persons desk for immediate review today and I should expect a call soon which despite her rude demeanor I appreciated. Finally, I get a call back and am told that all I need is liposuction, however, they won't know for sure until I get pre-examined and possibly while they are doing the procedure. They gave me a quote which was twice the out of pocket cost of a procedure to be done by a top surgeon in LA that is a boarded dermatological surgeon through Cedars Sinai's network. I want to mention that quote was given to me two years ago and things have changed. I also expect to pay a premium by going to a tv doctor. Overall this clinic, regardless of who your doctors are, isn't a terrible clinic. I just expect more from Dr. Lee and her staff. I can't speak to how she is personally because I will not be doing my surgery with her. I am disappointed in her NP and the assessment I was given. I am now going to an additional surgeon in LA to be assessed for another time to ensure whether I just need lipo or if I actually need surgery. This whole thing for me was very off-putting and I ultimately don't trust her office. Once I have my FINAL opinion I will update this as to what the actual outcome is. One last thing I find odd is that on your medical paperwork they ask if you write yelp reviews. I just found that a little strange read more

After watching Dr Pimple popper I decided to make an appointment. I have a lipoma on my back. I got to the office which seemed very nice and professional. However after I checked in I sat there for almost an hour before being seen. I was kind of irritated. I saw one of the surgeons and she said the nurse would call me to schedule the procedure. The nurse was pleasant when she called and scheduled my appointment. Then a few weeks later the office called and informed me that the surgeon was going on vacation so I needed to reschedule. I rescheduled for 1/13/22. I figured I would receive a reminder call a day or two before my appointment. When I didn't receive a call I called the day before to confirm. After being on hold about 15 minutes I was told today is the surgeons last day and they tried to call me December 15th. I said yes I rescheduled from 12/29 to 1/13. She said well the nurse will have to call you and reschedule. Even if I missed the call on 12/15 why wouldn't they try again? Anyway I have yet to receive a call to reschedule. And if someone has they didn't leave a message. I am so disappointed by the lack of follow through and feel like The office could care less. So disappointed. I have came here for a few issues in the past and everybody has been so nice to me. Today I got my fillers done here for the first time and again everybody was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. Carrie is the one that did my fillers and she was remarkable!!!! She made sure my pain was minimal, made sure I was always comfortable, and went out of her way to make sure not to over do on the fillers so I can still look natural not fake. Once I was called from the waiting room everything was great again. Erin was very apologetic and explained the situation to me. She did a great job fixing my issue and is truly a professional. I did not want to change this review until I experienced another appointment there. I have been back and they did not disappoint. I will definitely return if need be.
