I have never written a bad review before because I believe that customers should give a business a chance to make things right, but in this case I felt the need to do so. First of all, the front office staff is not friendly at all. Second I specifically went there for a glycolic facial peel and paid so much more than I would have somewhere else, but ended up with just a very basic facial. I tried reaching out to the esthetician to see why I had zero peeling after the facial (like she had told me I would and I was the whole purpose of the facial). Not only it was hard reaching someone at that office, but I always had to leave a message for her and she reached out to me only once (which I missed). Am so happy and very grateful to Dr. Lee and her staff for her amazing skill and care with my lipoma removal. She is every bit the caring and careful professional you see on TLC on her show. I came to her after my Big Med medical provider would not remove my fairly large lipoma on my back without hospital admission, general anesthesia, 5+ inch incision and staples to close the suture. I declined and then saw Dr. Lee's show several months later and knew what they told me was Big Med BS. She tries to limit the invasiveness and scarring with her unique "popping" and "probing" technique - and no one anywhere is better at it. So I waited to write a review until I felt I was seeing results. I had some cystic acne and just regular acne since I was 15 and now I'm 29 ‍. I was seen by Pratibha Kayastha she listened to my concerns and answered my questions very thoroughly. She told me on what type of treatment I needed to do. So after a month using the prescription as instructed, my acne got worse but Pratibha K did say Before it gets better I will notice more acne and to be patient. After 2 months I went to see her again for a follow up at that time I had some acne. As of right now I only have like 2 or 3 small pimples and my cystic acne went away and hopefully it doesn't come back. My face feels smooth which I haven't felt my face like that in a great while and I have some acne scars. Other than that I feel awesome! I would 100% recommend Pratibha Kayastha! Review Summary: Dr Sandra Lee is not a Lipoma Expert. This office is more for cosmetic procedures instead of medical ones. I really wish I had known this before making an appointment and driving out to Upland. Details: I found Dr Sandra Lee through a Google search for "Lipoma Expert CA" last November when I found out that the large swollen mass on my lower back was likely a Lipoma (after my primary doctor ordered an ultrasound). I called to make an appointment and was told she was booked until March. Most high quality specialists are booked up, like this,so I thought it was a good sign. They tell you to show up early to fill out paperwork. I showed up 30 minutes early... My total wait was over 1.5 hours. Dr Lee comes in and apologizes for the wait and then asks if we are fans. I explain that I found her through a search for Lipoma Expert. It becomes immediately clear that this is going to be the WEIRDEST doctors appointment ever. She doesn't take a proper medical history... First red flag! She asks to see the location. I show her. She says "oh, that's what we call a "fanny pack" of fat. I can do liposuction on that!" SECOND red flag. She didn't look at my paperwork or the scan results. I ask... "Okaaaay. Would JUST FAT have a capsule around it?" This catches her off guard. "... You know... Like in my ULTRASOUND report in my file." I point to the file she's holding. Then she looks at it. Then she backpeddles and says "Oh, it's probably both a Lipoma and a layer of fat on top." ... Seriously... Don't waste your time with this person if you're looking for an actual expert to, help you with something complicated. When I think "expert" I think...a professional who can deal with complicated cases and AT THE VERY LEAST can read a file or take a medical history. But, maybe my expectations are a bit high (sarcasm). On the way out she turns to my husband and asks "Are YOU a Popaholic?" To which he responds "I can be... But I haven't had any acne since my teens so the opportunity hasn't come up." He didn't realize he was being asked "Are YOU my fan???" No, lady...we thought you were a legitimate SPECIALIST... not a weirdo celebrity that sells t-shirts behind the nurses station (so so weird). I mean, if you're coming here with hope of getting a real serious medical professional... That's not what you're going to get! If you're coming to get liposuction from someone whose ego is more important than your medical history... You're in the right place! Hope this review helps people avoid my mistake. read more

Great experience! I was very pleased with my experience at the office. I can be a hard critic of a physician's office and the folks working there, especially when the health (skin) is not well.. the review can be much less than pleasant. This time (first time at this office) was a world away from previous experience at another place. The attention to details by the NP, Pratibha, was great.. made me feel that I was in safe hands and left me with a smile. She's very knowledgeable at what she does...Quality care close to home. The office is conveniently located near other businesses (fast food, banks, small shopping centers, auto service), in case of heavy traffic on the way back home, you can finish up some things on the to-do list after appointment. The appointment wait time is much less then other offices I've visited. Their willingness to take time for a follow-up and answer questions made me feel comfortable to go back in future if and when needed. Extended hours for Saturday are also a big plus! read more

Do NOT bother going to this place. My mom had a Saturday morning appointment with ERIN and when we arrived we found the office to be CLOSED. They completed FAILED to let us know about this. What I don't understand is, I called to confirmed the appointment few days prior and nothing was mentioned to me. I have absolutely NO RESPECT for such CARELESSNESS. There was a lot of planning on my part to take my mom to this appointment and my drive from LA was a complete waste of time and money. After four days of not a single phone call with an apology, I called to at least hear an explanation and it turns out they just didn't bother to call us and decided to change the appointment date and time. Went for a facial my esthetician was Jackie she was very nice and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and made a couple of recommendations. The office staff was nice, the wait was less than 5 minutes before they called me in. I also filed out the forms before which saves time, located on their website. Dr Song is the WORST. Had so much faith in this place but her condescending attitude and failure to follow through with medicine refills, lab results, and calling patients back ruined this place for me. She will never get back to you about anything - test results, medication, questions, anything. Thank god it was just for some minor skin issues. If it was a terminal or spreading disease I would have been dead by the time she ever got anything done. I don't know what makes her so incredibly busy to not call back patients or call the pharmacy for multiple weeks (if she ever eventually does call - she most likely won't). Wow we are lucky to have such a great dermatologist in Upland. Dr. Sandra Lee is the best when it comes to Botox injections. I leave her office looking well rested and refreshed. Not over done and stoic. I also use all of her SLMD skin care products. My favorite is the Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 UVA/UVB protection it works great in my sensitive skin. The acne spot treatment also works great and is easy to apply it has a roller ball for easy application. I highly recommend Skin Physicians and Surgeons for all of your skin Care needs. read more

I have had two procedures done at this facility. First time was a small lipoma located on my back. The appointment was set and when I arrived I didn't have to wait was shown in right away procedure was done and was told to come back about 7 days later for stitches removal. they gave me my appointment and I went on my way. About three days later i was called and was told that the doctor would not be available to remove my stitches. They suggested I try and find another place for me to get stitches removed. My husband works in medical field so he just did it for me. I had scheduled to do a second procedure and in the craziness of covid i missed appointment. I got a bill in the mail for 100.00 for missed appointment. Seems ironic they can ask me to get my stitches removed somewhere else as they are busy but they can charge me 100.00 for missed appointment. Went back for second procedure price was more this time. Had to paid 660.00 out of pocket was told prices had gone up was not told this until after the procedure was done. Told them to to bill my insurance as I have ppo insurance and I believed they would pay part of bill. They said sorry can't pay in full and if you have a refund will get it back to you. I was referred to Skin Physicians by my good friend who currently works there. She recommended me to see their PA at the time Erin for my acne. After meeting with Erin and her reviewing my history with Acne for many years she recommended for me to start on Acutane. I gave it a few months to think about it. I did my homework on it though it did have possible side effects and risks (which I thought what medication does not have possible side effects). Anyhow I made an appointment a few months later to go through the whole process of starting Acutane. I started it a month after as I had to do blood work and a pregnancy test before I could start it. Now I am on my 6 month on Acutane and I can honestly say that it was the best decision I have EVER made to start on this medication. It is by far the ONLY thing that has helped clear up my face and make me confident again. I love that I don't NEED to wear makeup everyday! Though Erin got me started on the medication shortly after I was told she had left Skin Physicians. I really was bummed out that she would no longer be guiding me through the process until I got assigned to Pratibha Kayastha! Pratibha took over shortly after I started and has seen the changes from the beginning stages until now! She was happy to see that I was happy with the results of Acutane and has answered any questions I've had concerning the medication. I never feel rushed with her either which is a BIG PLUS for me. I can't say that I didn't feel rushed with the PA who started me on the medication. She spends the time needed with me to make sure that all my questions are answered and I walk out feeling happy with my appointment/service! Anyone who struggles from continuous acne and has tried it all from topicals to antibiotics I highly recommend setting an appointment with Pratibha! You won't be disappointed! My family and I been a long time patient for this dermatologist and have seen Dr Sandra Lee and her husband Dr Rebish many times over 15 years. The last few years their service has gone downhill starting with the front staff to the billing. Unprofessional front office staff when calling to remind you of appointments and all you get is people laughing on the phone. They always charge me double what my insurance pays and I always have to ask for a refund when I get my claim back from my insurance company. They charged me 1 amount this last appointment that was a follow up and the unprofessional girl who called to remind me of an appointment says, "oh by the way you owe us money." That's not how you talk to customers or patients. They just lost a long time patient due to a very unprofessional staff and I would pay attention to your bills and make sure they aren't over billing you like they have been doing to us for years. read more

Wow I was completely taken back by Dr. Lee on my follow up (in a good way!). My keloid did end up going down in size although not completely gone which I did not expect it to. The assistant came into the room to photograph the keloid to keep process of the treatment of course. Dr Lee then came in in a very uplifting mood and we proceeded with steroid shots for both my keloids. She verbally made me aware of each step she was taking. We also looked over my before pictures and I definitely noticed the difference. The most surprising part was when Dr. Lee let me know she wasn't charging me for the procedure due to my first experience. That was VERY generous of her and she definitely did not have to do that. It of course was a pleasant surprise to know that although she is extremely busy 1. She personally reads over Yelp reviews 2. She cares enough to personally address the issues no matter how big or small. Thank you Dr. Lee you've definitely set the standard for professionalism and quality. My daughter has been treated three times by the docs here. She first saw Dr. Lee and has now seen Dr. Rebish twice. I find these doctors, and Dr. Rebish in particular, to be real caregivers - and that's my highest compliment to a doctor. More and more over the past six or so years I've had negative experiences with doctors. It's always some version of driving up fees. I've had doctors tell me that they won't give me test results over the phone - that I had to make an appointment. I've had them tell me that I can't come see them for more than one complaint per appointment; i.e. if I have a cut and I have the flu I have to make two appointments. These, and many other "office policies" are about one thing and one thing only - the bottom line. I guess it just goes with the territory. Everyone else involved in health care in America has their hand in my pocket. Why not the doctor too? So when I say that the doctors at Skin Physicians are actual caregivers it's because they provide care first. I pay for that care (and it's all out-of-pocket because I have shitty insurance) but I've now seen two separate examples of the fact that they don't view patients as ATMs. And I appreciate that more than anything. It frees me, and them, to concern ourselves first with my daughter's care. Last time we saw Dr. Rebish he noticed a birthmark on my arm, the kind of birthmark that doctors tell you must be watched. It was as he was leaving the exam room, having finished treating my daughter. He asked me if he could take a look at it and took out his lighted magnifier. Now, Dr. Rebish wasn't going to get paid for looking at my birthmark but I don't think that even entered in to his thinking. He took a look because he's a doctor and the birthmark required attention. This time when we saw him it was the third time she'd been seen for the same issue (this is expected with this type of ailment so I have no complaint about it). I can't say what went in to his thinking - did it occur to him that the out-of-pocket was taking a toll, did he consider how much we'd already spent - I don't know. But when I went to pay the bill I was told that while the doctor charged for the procedure he didn't charge the co-pay. That saved me $50. Don't get me wrong. This isn't a dollar and cents calculation. It's the fact that the doctor isn't just there for the dollar and cents that makes the difference. He's providing good treatment that is having an effect, he has a good bedside manner and he's there first and foremost to provide care. And that makes all the difference. read more

I am writing this review for an elderly friend of mine as she does not have a yelp account. She drove from out of state as multiple consultations in her area proved unsuccessful. With Dr Lee's reputation she decided to go out of her way to get help. Unfortunately after the effort she was greeted less than warmly. The office staff was rude and multiple times she was told "you know you aren't gonna see the doctor". She responded she knew. In the end the PA couldn't diagnose her and she was asked to come back to see The Doctor. Had the support staff been nicer perhaps she would've made another 10 hour round trip but her experience had been less than good so she passed. Horrible experience! Not sure why they are rated 4 stars? Maybe because it was once on TV? Big deal! I went in to have a lesion removed by the PA. I really wanted to see a doctor, but this place makes it nearly impossible to see one. I don't think there is a doctor there too often. The PA assured me my lesion was so small she could remove it using the biopsy removal method. Fast forward a week after it's been "removed" and it's stay there!!! So upsetting! I received stitches for noting!! I went back and confronted her and she said it was probably deeper than she thought and I could see the dr. If I wanted to! No thank you! Never ever stepping foot in that place! Oh by the way I had another lesion removed by Kaiser and they did a wonderful job! Wishing i still had Kaiser even though i have a PPO now! read more

I had to come here for an emergency situation because another doctor had botched a procedure on me that left me with major swelling on my face. I saw PA Erin Jensen and she was just AMAZING!! She was very warm and comforting and I just knew right away that I was in safe hands!! She was able to resolve my situation right away, and just in time for a wedding I had to go to a few days thereafter! She totally saved the day for me and I'm just SO grateful to her!! I also asked her to perform the procedure on me that the previous doctor had messed up on, and she did an unbelievable job! She is truly an expert at what she does in addition to being very informative, easy to talk to, and very professional. I'm so happy to have found a medical provider I can finally trust!! read more

She advised my Mom on what measures to take and even recommended her Board-Certified cohort to see if they would be able to help. I love this place! Before, I had gone to another dermatologist for simple wart removal on my hand and he had taken months and months, constantly re-freezing it and paring it down. It was extremely painful and frustrating every time. Dr, Rebish on the other hand was very attentive to when the freezing was hurting me, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me not only remove the wart but also prevent as much scarring as possible. I am still being treated at this office because I have a stingy case of dermatitis and eczema, but I have to give 5 stars already. Customer service is almost non-existent these days except for SP&S. I LOVE the staff here. They have been following up with me very quickly. They call back when they say they will and I never have to wait more than 15-20 minutes to see my doctor. The office is modern, décor is pleasant. I feel as though my PA Ashlene, is up on the latest products for treating my conditions and is not afraid to offer me alternatives if something she prescribed is not working. I had a very bad experience here and I rarely write bad reviews but I wanted to warn potential patients: I work full time, M-F/ 8-5, and it is difficult to get to a doctor, but after a lot of hassle I was able to leave early on a weekday to make a long awaited appointment here. When I checked in the receptionist took my insurance information and after a phone call, told me my insurance would cover the visit. I paid my copay and I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner (or a PA I can't remember), not a doctor, which is normally fine but I wasn't told I would be seeing a NP/PA and not a Dr. I told her I was there for 3 reasons, and as I started to go over the reasons she interrupted me and very rudely said I could pick one. That if I wanted the other issues addressed I needed to make another appointment. She was VERY rude about this, this policy was never explained to me when I made the appointment, and its very odd-- who has time to make 3 separate appointments to deal with 3 problems, when each could easily be addressed with one appointment? I have never heard of such a policy at any other doctors office, ever. Anyway I chose the issue of skin cancer, I was out of there within 5 minutes, and on the way out the NP told me she would not call me if everything is OK because "that would be impossible" to call every person who had a non-cancerous result. Three weeks later I receive a bill for $80. Confused, I call the office and they explain my balance is $21. Ok...better than $80 so I pay it. After I ask them about the disparity they tell me oh the $80 was for the lab, and that I have to pay the lab directly. I ask what the $21 was for then? They don't know, and would I like to make another appointment? No. To be fair this woman was at least polite, unlike the NP. I suppose the policy of one appointment one issue makes sense if you can bill $100 on top of the copay and the insurance coverage (mystery $21 and mystery $80 lab expense). Bottom line: The receptionist and support staff are polite, the NP/PA was a nightmare, and the business overall is very shadily run, with unexplained costs and policies that encourage repeat visits without much value (don't expect a followup phone call with a result!) and repeat, unexplained costs. The office has these large displays touting fame from "dr pimple popper" and gift baskets. I don't know if this place was featured on some daytime talk show or whatever, I just wanted to see a dermatologist and take care of my health. I'd suggest somewhere else if that's what you're looking for. read more

I recently had my second round of Tickle Lipo with Dr Lee. It was a pleasant experience just like the first round. It was smooth and quick. Dr. Lee personally called me the night of surgery to be sure I was feeling ok and didn't have any additional questions. Her work is amazing! Day three I have minimal swelling and absolutely no bruising. ALL the staff at Skin PS was amazing. Sweet, helpful but most of all knowledgeable. They make you feel so comfortable. The conversation during surgery felt like girls night at the dinner table. It was great! I love that it's a small family oriented business. No BS with billing or appt scheduling. I came for my follow up visit with Erin Jensen for my acne and it has really cleared up a lot . I can see a big difference !! The key is to be consistent with your regimen. Retin-A did make me skin a little flaky but moisturizing helps, your skin will adjust. I use it nightly with no problems anymore :) She also helped me with a stubborn Ingrown I had, a quick cortisone shot did the trick ! read more

Rarely do I write negative reviews but maybe they will try to correct their way they handle their business. I went there for 2 small keloids. Took about 40 min to get called which I can handle. I paid my 40 copay hence I have insurance. The PA then the offered either steroid shots or surgically removing. I went for the steroid shots thinking it was the cheaper route. Well nope! They ended up charging me 150 because I have a "procedure" done. Wow not even a warning before they did the shot that the fee would be that much. It just a steroid shot. I would understand if they cut the keloid and sutured my skin. Now thats a procedure. I just think you should inform your patients about the costs. Thats ridiculous! read more

my Daughter told me about Dr. Lee's office and how efficient it was, I have gone to a different Doctor for many years, and had very long waits, not the best bedside manner. I was really shocked when I went there for a 10:00 appointment, and got there 10 minutes early, The waiting room was busy, but people kept moving in. I was called in at 9:55 and was out of the office by 10:20 and on way back to work. The key was that Dr.Rebish was very good at what he was doing with freezing the pre cancerous cells on my head, and really put me at ease. So much different than where I used to go. If I had an appointment at other Dr at 10:00, i wouldn't even be called in until about 10:30, with a completely different atmosphere. I would advise any friend of mine to go there read more
