I can't believe I didn't put in my review regarding Skindustry Studio. I saw Renda before the pandemic started and she was amazing!!! I wanted to try her out before I brought in my son for a facial. I had a facial and waxing done by her and I must say she was great!!!! She was so pleasant, professional and very punctual! My 19 year old son also saw Renda for a facial and he only had great things to say about her. I bought the Microdermabrasion with retinol booster Groupon. The place is smaller than I expected and Renda is the only one there. She is, however, very accommodating as I was running late and she was able to take me in. The place does look clean. It was my first time doing a microdermabrasion so I was a bit anxious as I didn't know what to expect. The retinol did burn when she put it on my skin and she said this is expected but should go away. If you have super-sensitive skin, this is something to take note of as it might burn for awhile (which she says you can wash it off as you may). My skin had scabs and was peeling after extractions. I eventually peeled off the scabs since it looked kinda ugly. The peeling is still here and there but I will do a face mask to help moisturize. Just a FYI. On a positive note, my skin does look much brighter and less dull! She was very nice and offered recommendations on what to do with my skin and issues it may have. One thing I liked was she did NOT pressure you to purchase her other services (deep cleansing facials or whatever else). I always had this problem when buying skin services on Groupon (or regular walk-ins) where the lady always tries to upsell me to buy more services. read more

I'm always so skeptical about using groupons when it comes to my skin/hair just because once it goes bad, there's no returning from it. But, man am I glad to come across Renda and Skindustry! Renda was super helpful when I came in and explained the whole process to me throughout the session and was patient with me since my skin is on the sensitive side. A little background on my skin. I have sensitive skin with some acne/scarring. After the microdermabrasion, my skin was super red (from the retinol booster), so keep in mind to do this at the end of the day when you have no where else to go! But as Renda mentioned, my skin improved within the week. Although it didn't become flawless over night, I've had a lot of issues with major skin improvement despite trying a lot of products. I don't usually write 5-star Yelp reviews until an establishment has gained my full trust and seal of approval :) I was first introduced to Skindustry thru a Groupon deal. They honored the Groupon in an immaculate manner, no difference in quality or services whatsoever, unlike so many places that treat Groupon people like second-class customers. Renda was very professional, friendly and knew exactly what she was doing. Her facials will get you the results you want! In fact, I was so impressed with the results that I went back for another facial, without a Groupon, and will continue to visit her salon regularly to keep my skin spotless and glowing. I heard she is also a waxing pro, so maybe next time I'll get to verify that as well. I can also say that this place is super customer oriented and honest with their customers. Case in point: When you book an appointment with them, Skindustry usually calls you to remind you of your upcoming appointment a couple of days before. One time they missed to call me and I forgot to show up. Renda called me and owned up to her mistake, she apologized and rescheduled my appointment at a convenient time for me, which was past her normal hours. I was very impressed by how she handled the whole thing. So professional! I have a lot of respect for people who are running their business putting customers first. ***3.5 stars*** i had a rare saturday afternoon free and was dying to get a facial since it'd been ages and my face badly needed some tlc. i was fortunate in finding skindustry studio, not far from home, and even happier to see their 5-star rating on yelp! i requested an appt online, and renda, the owner and aesthetician, replied right away with facial options and appt availability. after several exchanges re types of facials (since i didn't know that much about the different types), we finally agreed to the medical facial, which was ~1h 15m appt. i arrived on time, but she was still wrapping up a phone call, so there was a slight wait. i filled out the patient intake form since it was my first time. i later asked whether she could squeeze in a brow wax, since i saw the sign outside her studio, to which she gladly obliged and even told me that we'd need to do the brows first since we can't wax post-facial! good to know. the brow wax took a bit longer than what i'm accustomed to, but i will say, she did a fabulous job in cleaning up the problem areas and giving me 2 very clean, well-shaped brows. the facial had multiple steps, including cleaning, microdermabrasion, extraction, neck & décolleté massage, chemical peel, and moisturizing. the total time was nearly 2 hours for both the brow wax & facial, about 1/2 hour longer than i'd anticipated, but she was very thorough in explaining each step and we had a nice conversation throughout. these services were well worth the $135 that i paid ($115 for medical facial & $20 for eyebrow wax). unfortunately, i need to take away some points for: 1. the table used was actually lopsided, something i didn't realize until partway into the appt. renda admitted that her table was broken and although she tried to fix it herself, it wasn't completely flat. she also admitted that she hadn't properly replaced it with a new one, which was a little jarring. my back was actually a bit sore for several days after, since i was lying lopsided for ~2 hours. 2. i didn't realize that the combination of the room, bed, and covers made me that warm until after the appt, b/c i stood up and was covered in sweat, making it difficult to get dressed since i could neither towel off or take a shower at the completion of the appt. this isn't something i had experienced in previous facials. 3. although i was informed what a medical facial was, i was not informed that my face would be dry and slightly red and brown (from the chemicals) for 5 days. my cheeks looked like they'd been burnt for a couple of days until the dead skin cells flaked off. i wish i knew this prior to the facial, b/c i'd have opted for a different type of facial that didn't leave me looking and feeling dry for a few days. overall, a very good facial and wax job, but i'd have preferred to be better informed going into and leaving the appt. read more

Renda is absolutely amazing!! I have been going to her for over 7 years now and throughout those years I do not have one bad thing to say. She always makes it easy for me when it comes to her availability. She is so flexible and I love that. I literally text her same day and she lets me know of her availability and is able to squeeze me in. I love the fact that her wax is organic! Every other place I've been to I get bumps on the area of wax and redness. But never with Renda. I wanted to like this place considering all the reviews but this was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I'm not sure if she thought because I was younger (mid 20s), I didn't deserve as much respect but it was the worst welcoming feeling I've ever had walking into a spa. I have had over maybe 50 facials in my life and am very fragile with my skin and the whole time, she was just way too rough with my skin. There was no relaxation at all- I was in and out within 30 minutes because of how quick and rough she treated my skin. I left and got in my car to cry to my sister. Really, really, really horrible experience. Again- do not comment months later about the service - if your customer didn't have a good experience don't be rude back. I got my first peel with microdermabrasion facial , she told me what to expect during the healing process and when the skin healed it looked great. Renda made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She is also very knowledgeable about the skin and which treatments where best for me .I have a lot of skin pigment due to sun damage and hormones. Renda is true to her word and it shows in her work. As I pulled up to Skindustry Studio's the 1st thing I loved was that there was Free 2 hour parking and very easy to find. When I walked in I admired the Fresh Flowers and Friendliness of the staff. My Biggest observation on Salons is the atmosphere, staff and most important on how clean it is. I love the fact that all tools used and everything else are clean and sterile. Medium Size Studio and Cozy. Very Impressive from the moment I walked in I totally felt the Ambiance of this warm painted Studio and all its Gorgeous Art Work. Everyone was Professional and Respectful. The Owner did a Fabulous Brow waxing and tinting. Bonice did a enjoyable and relaxing pedicure with a massage. I then had a Fill/Manicure with a hand massage. The prices are average and the treatment is well worth it. All service were Fabulous. I am a Loyal Client to those that are clean, respectful, professional and great at what they do. I cant wait till my appointment with Ashlyn whom does the beautiful spray tanning. Walked into this salon 30 mins before closing and asked for a full set. They immediately offered to stay so I can have my nails done. While they were setting up I was offered a free eyebrow wax and Renda did an amazing job not making them thin and giving me an arch. Bonice did my full set without an electric drill. Randa is amazing. She is so sweet, gentle and she cares about you. I was freaking out the first time I went in to get a Brazilian and she was so understanding and calmed me down. The place is very clean, she's very clean and she makes sure that she removes ever bit of hair...no I'm not kidding, she literally plucks every remaining hair that didn't come off with the wax! I visited Renda at Skindustry to get my very first facial recently and have got to admit, I'm not sure why I waited 30 years to get one! Such a wonderful place! I've been here now three times for separate things and I have never been left disappointed. I first came here to get a facial as a personal birthday present to myself, and Renda left my skin feeling refreshed and glowing. She also has one of the most personable and easy-going attitudes which made it easy to talk to her though out the entire procedure, so time flew by. My second time I came in to get a mani/pedi and the result were wonderful and lasted way longer than my usual place. They have a wide selection of nail colors of really good quality. The most recent time I came in was to get a spray tan, and because of a scheduling conflict on my part, Renda actually meet with me later than her usual shop hours to accommodate me!
