    Eggs Benedict and orange juice

Best eggs Benedict in town! The fresh squeezed orange juice amazing. Service is amazing. Love the atmosphere.

Skinny Vic's is the perfect brunch spot. They have the BEST orange juice! It was freshly squeezed and super nice. We had to wait for a while for a table on a Sunday - it was super busy! Ambiance is very cool with all the CDs and the puzzle stuff around. I got the veggie benedict - amazing hollandaise! Mimosas for the win :)

We absolutely love the breakfasts at Vic's. Pretty much any of the pancakes, French toast, waffles are great. Also the skillets and omelets are awesome but the corned beef hash is my favorite! To food is very consistent between visits. The portions are perfect if you are not looking to leave feeling uncomfortable. The waitstaff is top notch and all are so nice! I also appreciate that it's not super loud so you can actually have a nice conversation with your meal.

A small spot snuggled in between two big box stores, they are doing great things with their food. The Brie and Bacon Jam burger was amazing! I want to check out some of their other food items next time I am in the area!! Video Review https://youtu.be/KLXTnpPB3iA

    Bacon wrapped cheese curds

On my way out of town I called in an order to go for bacon wrapped cheese curds. I had heard about these and wanted to see if they lived up to the lofty expectations I had. The bacon was nice and crispy, the cheese perfectly melty, and the size of each curd was reasonable. My issue was that you only get 8 for $13. I will certainly take blame for not knowing how much they cost before ordering and possibly for not knowing how many come in an order since I didn't ask, but damn, after I left a tip my total was $16. The curds are fantastic tasting and decently sized, but $2 each is not something I'm willing to spend again. I'm fine with the fact I tried them once, but the price is hard to justify.

We've been to Skinny Vic's a few different times times now and I seem to be feeling less impressed with each successive visit. For the socially distant maskers out there, Skinny Vic's staff is not wearing masks and not visibly doing much in the way of extra sanitizing. Fortunately most of the tables have a little space between them to begin with. They squeeze their own juices (rather pricey for a glass), but give a small free sample when you first arrive. The little shot glasses they use for the sample orange juice seem to have become increasingly clouded and don't even appear clean anymore. It's a turn-off to drink out of something that appears dirty. During my last two visits the hasbrowns have been served lukewarm at best. The servers just seem to be going through the motions rather than truly having fun at work & enjoying their customers. Fortunately for Skinny Vic's there's not all that many breakfast restaurant options on the south side of West Bend. Skinny Vic's has potential, but it's time for them to step up their game a little.

This delightful restaurant is fabulous! it is small place beside Home Goods on Paradise in West Bend. It is 50s decor with delicious offerings, uniquely crafted with quality ingredients! the staff is outstanding and everyone clearing loves food and is proud to present their food made w love from Vic herself! Go there!!!

Slinger skillet with 9 grain toast

I met a friend here for brunch and it was amazing! We did have a bit of a wait (~20 minutes) but it was Saturday at 10am, so completely understandable. They give you a sample of their fresh squeezed orange juice (which is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS). They have a variety of mimosas made with the same juice - so good! All the staff was so very kind and although it took a minute for our food to arrive, we didn't care because we were there to enjoy each other's company! The slinger skillet was exactly what I needed - flavorful with a good balance of meat/veggies/eggs, and the hash browns were perfectly crisp. I'd love to come back for their lunch menu :)

Food: They have a small menu, but it includes several items that would be among my first choices for breakfast or lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to find Avocado Toast. Their version was a bit more "exotic," with both pickled red onion AND pickled fennel. That was a first for me. The addition of a balsamic drizzle provided a nice balance. I got mine with a fried egg. They only offer the egg fried hard. My preference would have been a softer egg with at least a little runny yolk, but it was still very good as served. My wife got the Quinoa Bowl with chicken and guacamole. That was an amazing combination. The guacamole isn't made fresh on-site, I happened to see the package from Costco, but it was actually very good. Service: Lots of very nice people here. My understanding is that there are a few paid staff members, but the majority of the people working are volunteers. Everyone we met was genuinely friendly and helpful. Ordering was easy. After placing your order, you get a number, and they deliver the food to your table. Atmosphere: It's a nice space. There's a smaller area where you place your order, along with some small tables. An adjacent larger room has additional seating and bigger tables. Lots of windows provide plenty of natural light, and there are areas that work well for smaller groups. My understanding is that the larger space is also used for meetings and gatherings by different community groups. It's a great facility for a community that wants to nurture neighborly goodwill and social involvement. This is definitely a place I want to support. Maybe there's a future volunteer barista position for me! :)
