I especially love their "kindness coupons"--such a thoughtful gesture for anyone who could use a little treat. I attended one of their macaron classes, and while I don't know what their kitchen looked like before, it had been fully transformed into a student-friendly workspace with stations set up for each group. After signing in, you're directed to your station and handed an apron. The spots are semi-assigned--if you booked with a friend or a small group, Kasey does a great job placing you together. Everything you need is laid out and ready to go. Kasey walks you through the whole process, checking in along the way and sharing helpful tips she's picked up throughout her macaron-making journey. You and your partner split the batter, but you each get to do your own mixing, choose your colors, and pipe your own shells, which makes it a really hands-on experience. While the macarons are baking, you're treated to sweet bites like brownies or crispy rice treats. Once the macarons have cooled, you fill, package, and--of course--sneak a few tastes along the way. The whole class is so fun, approachable, and well-paced. Afterward, you even get the chance to take home some bakery goodies at a discount! A friend had heard that they had gotten some flack from the local Republicans for being pro-LGBT and that was enough for us to go pay them a visit. She was right! It was a delicious drink that I may or may not have licked the lid to ensure I got all of the cold foam... My ham and cheese croissant was quite good, though I think it would have been better had it been warmed up. And then I went back for a Scotcheroo and that was fantastic. I had intended to just have a bite that morning and finish it later but there was no way I could do that, I ended up eating the entire thing while we were visiting. Outside of the room temp croissant, the reason for four stars instead of five here is because the bakery gets VERY cold everytime the door opens, I probably should have kept my coat on the whole time we were there. I think one of those ceiling-mounted air units would help mitigate this and get me to stay a bit longer (and order more food!) in the colder months.

The pastry wasn't at all flaky or buttery but rather hard and biscuit-like. Maybe I went in with the wrong expectation of what an apple dumpling was but it wasn't what I had wanted exactly. In addition to the key lime bread, I got the Farmer's Favorite Burrito and a chai tea latte scone. I don't recall the key lime bread having a ton of key lime flavor, but it was still good. I was more impressed with the chai tea latte scone and wished I had purchased more than one. The burrito was ok. I liked the bacon pepper jam but had a hard time finding much pulled pork in it. The restaurant is a cute little place. They have a drive-thru window for easy ordering if you can't or don't want to come inside and there's a few tables to sit at inside. I thought they had a nice selection of baked good for sale and even offered gluten friendly items if that's something you need.

Good thing I got there early cause within a couple minutes there had to have been almost two dozen people in line behind me (I was second). In addition to cinnamon rolls, I got a dozen donuts. The cinnamon rolls were great. Gooey inside, like cinnamon rolls should be, and lots of cinnamon flavor. The frosting on top was very sweet (almost too much so) and there was a ton of it, so we had to scrape a little off. The donuts were also very good. I got two each of six different flavors (regular chocolate frosted long john, chocolate frosted long john with sprinkles, apple fritter, fruity pebbles topped, crushed Oreo topped with marshmallow cream inside, and peanut butter and jelly). My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly. My wife liked the fruity pebbles the most. The kids liked both kinds of chocolate long johns. The store looks like it was converted from house, so the layout is weird. The actual room with the donut case is small, so people have to wait in the hallway and kind of block the counter for checking out. I know they just moved to this location earlier this year, so they probably aren't looking to move again so soon, but it wouldn't be the worst thing. I thought the prices are super reasonable for a bakery. The dozen doughnuts was $14 and the cinnamon rolls were $4 each. When I picked up the boxes and felt how heavy they were, I assumed it would be much more than $30 for everything.

To date we have tried the donuts, cinnamon rolls, peanut butter balls, pecan pie balls, mini fruit pizzas, chocolate chip drop cookies, and a mini Bundt cake. All have been nothing short of delightful, but I think the fruit pizzas are the standout winner for my tastebuds! When you walk in you will likely be greeted with the heavenly smell of fresh baked goods, which leaves you knowing that what you're getting is fresh and homemade. I wish I could bottle up that smell and take it with me! Daisies is definitely worth the stop, or even drive, to get many sweet treats at a great price! I know I will be a regular customer going forward, and it always feels great to support a local small business.
