First time here. It's a volunteer organization located in the same building as the Volunteer Center of Washington County. I came with my wife for lunch. Food: They have a small menu, but it includes several items that would be among my first choices for breakfast or lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to find Avocado Toast. Their version was a bit more "exotic," with both pickled red onion AND pickled fennel. That was a first for me. The addition of a balsamic drizzle provided a nice balance. I got mine with a fried egg. They only offer the egg fried hard. My preference would have been a softer egg with at least a little runny yolk, but it was still very good as served. My wife got the Quinoa Bowl with chicken and guacamole. That was an amazing combination. The guacamole isn't made fresh on-site, I happened to see the package from Costco, but it was actually very good. Service: Lots of very nice people here. My understanding is that there are a few paid staff members, but the majority of the people working are volunteers. Everyone we met was genuinely friendly and helpful. Ordering was easy. After placing your order, you get a number, and they deliver the food to your table. Atmosphere: It's a nice space. There's a smaller area where you place your order, along with some small tables. An adjacent larger room has additional seating and bigger tables. Lots of windows provide plenty of natural light, and there are areas that work well for smaller groups. My understanding is that the larger space is also used for meetings and gatherings by different community groups. It's a great facility for a community that wants to nurture neighborly goodwill and social involvement. This is definitely a place I want to support. Maybe there's a future volunteer barista position for me! :) read more

I recently got a to go Quinoa Bowl and a coffee drink to go from here. The Quinoa Bowl to go was ok. It was quite plain and dry. It didn't have any balsamic dressing that it was supposed to have. I would not order again as not worth the price. The Coffee drink was good. Service was good. read more

Food, beverages, setup, cleanup were expertly managed and of the highest quality. The large windows let the sun in creating a warm & inviting atmosphere. A nice addition to the downtown area of West Bend. Ideally situated on the edge of downtown and near the Art Museum. The Hub is in an easy to access area, although I think the community as a whole is under aware of the current tennants within the building. That entire corner of West Bend is under utilized and I hope all the businesses in that area market together to create a cultural draw to the area. The Hub has reasonably priced flavorful drinks and much more of a hometown feel than the conglomerate coffeehouse chain store. Many drink offerings from coffee, tea, hot chocolate & cider. They have a small selection of muffins/pastries and I was told they have a lunch soup available. Unfortunately there aren't any breakfast or lunch sandwiches. I think to truly establish themselves as a mainstay they need to add a little to the dining options. The location is somewhat hampered by not having the convenience of a drive thru window. The adjoining art studio/store add to The Hub charm. I wish them well and hope they become embraced by the community. read more

What a delightful place in West Bend! We stumbled across The Hub and had the most delicious drinks. Nice, clean espresso shots and several plant based milks. This place has a nice atmosphere and we were more than pleased with our drinks. We'll definitely be back! read more

Local. Nonprofit. Coffee. Great Atmosphere. The Hub is a great place to gather with anyone for a cup of coffee and conversation. Knowing your money and donations are always going to a good cause makes this coffee shop great for the community of West Bend. Having said that, I am not a huge fan of the coffee. I like my coffee black, flavorful, but not overpowered by bitterness. The baked items however, delicious! Another bonus to the Hub is that it's connected to the Gallery of Wisconsin Art, which means you can enjoy your coffee while walking through the beautiful gallery space next door! read more

Came back in on my last trip to Wisconsin - the whole place smelled so so bad of something burning (plastic? A grill after it's been cleaned?..) we had to leave immediately. We would've maybe gotten something to go but the people behind the counter were too busy chatting with another customer to take another order. Oh well. Come.to try this new place in West Bend called the Hub. Glad I did, I'm not into all that hipster Starbucks (sucks) type of place but my wife made me try it out and I'm glad I did. They have friendly service, nice atmosphere, and hey a Keto breakfast sandwich which i was pleasantly surprised because I am currently on the Keto lifestyle. I can honestly say after my first and only time (so far) coming here, I will be coming back many many more times! The muffin was excellent (warmed up and everything!) and the coffee was delicious! I would much rather get a cup of coffee and a treat and have that money go back into the community where I live and have lived for most of my life! The atmosphere is very family friendly, with board games and a bigger tic tac toe game for the kiddos (and big kiddos!) to play with. Even a long table to bring a big family in (or even friends) and play the games or sit and talk while eating breakfast! This is the best coffee shop in West Bend 100%! If you're looking for a cozy place to sit and enjoy some coffee, then this is the place to go! My favorite item to get is the iced Carmella. The hub has many different things to eat including, muffins, soup, and even quiche!! All of the workers are friendly and the food menu is always changing. They have free water and don't use plastic straws. The hub is all volunteer and super cute and aesthetic in the inside. Definitely come check it out!! read more
