Went on the recommendation of my sister and was not disappointed! Went for a tasting with my mom and we not only got to try (and take home) some delicious liquors, we got to chat with the owner and even peak at the back where they were making everything right there, we could see the huge sacks of potatoes for vodka, and they were wonderful at answering questions. We won a private tour and tasting for a group at a football auction and were so excited to visit skip rock with all our friends. We had no idea we were in for the most personalized and exciting evening. Ryan the owner led the tour and the tasting himself. He talked about all the spirits and his inspiration behind them. We also got to see the building and learned about all the history of it. Ryan and his family have put their heart and soul into this distillery and their products and it really shows. We will definitely be back to try some of their mixed drinks and they are very fairly priced and a great value. You won't regret stopping in and definitely need to take some goods home to make your own cocktails or mixed drinks. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

This is an awesome distillery in downtown Snohomish! We learned about this company after attending a distillery festival, as they had really distinct, inventive liqueurs. So when we were in Snohomish we decided to visit for a tasting. The space was very inviting. Staff was happy to help us, making sure we found a liqueur we liked or were curious about. They were also very sociable with all the patrons inside. And I loved that they had regulars visit. The tastings is a great way to try the various kinds of hard A they have here. My personal favorite is the nocino, which is the best accompaniment to your coffee or even just on its own or over the rocks. Nocino is a walnut liqueur, and it really has that nutty flavor that's silky and a little creamy. I love it and always have a bottle in my bar cart! But I encourage you to try everything here, as there's something for everyone. Located in downtown Snohomish, it's easy to find, with plenty of street parking around, and there's a bar area where you can pull up a stool and sniff and taste the booze. Cheers! read more

Hands down our favorite local distillery. Family friendly (they let you bring your kids), kind, knowledgeable folks, and good tasting stuff. They occasionally have limited releases - don't miss them! - and events. Santa was there today! It's $5 for tasting, with the fee waived if you purchase a bottle. They can ship to places, are stocked with gift boxes, glasses, bourbon cherries, a flask/cigar container, bitters, growlers, and other fun shopping goodies for stocking stuffers or other gifts. Yet another place that I did not know about or had bookmarked. We just stumbled across it when we were looking at all of the shops on 1st in Snohomish. We went in and had a sampling of four different vodkas and liqueurs. A tasting is five dollars however if you buy a bottle the tasting fee is waived. Steve did in fact get a bottle of vodka. It was a peppery potato vodka which was really different and had a real nice, snappy aftertaste to it. They have a great selection of Snappy's Bitters as well. Actually lots of products from Snappy's that I have not come across before. Distilleries like Skip Rock has made us almost as snobby about vodka and gin as breweries have made us snobs about beer! Warm, friendly staff makes the experience all the more fun! Nice place! read more

If/when you get the chance to visit Washington State's antique hunter's dream town of Snohomish, put this spot as #2 on your itinerary (make sure to grab brunch/lunch first). The list of libations is varied and a true specimen of a small family owned boutique distillery. After sampling several of their creations, it became obvious that making a decision on what to finally bring home was going to be difficult. Although Skip Rock is known globally for their Rye Whiskey (it won a highly esteemed international award), harder beverages aren't really my thing. That said, both the Gin (a bit like a super subtle absinthe sans fennel) and the Amber Rum (as smooth as a honey tainted Armagnac) are amazing. Setting my sights on their less powerful elixirs, I moved onto the Blackberry Liqueur (a similar taste to a medium tawny Port), Apple Liqueur (if you could make an liqueur that tastes like a buttery French apple tart, this would be it), Raspberry Liqueur (imagine a cleaner, less syrupy version of Chambord), Walnut Liqueur (in Italy this is called "Nocino" and possess an extremely exotic, deep, rich, nutty flavor - would be amazing over ice with a strip of lemon peel), and the Coffee Liqueur (delicate, smooth and very easy to drink). One side of the two person team, Ryan, is a soft spoken, humorous and highly knowledgeable afficienado. Willing to teach/explain to you as much as you want without being pretentious or dismissive. I visited Skip Rock a few months ago, and this place was amazing!! At first, it was a bit intimidating... considering the entry door is in an alley and it seemed like no one was inside. Once we took the leap and made it inside, Chris made us feel like we had walked into a theatrical, magical, boozy wonderland!!!! He expertly relayed to us in comedic detail the company's history, along with each liquors/liqueurs' profile upon tasting them. He had a passion unparalleled to any! We will absolutely be back. The tastings themselves were truly wonderful. I'm not much of a whiskey person, but even I changed my mind that day. My favorite part was the variety of liquor and liqueurs, as well as the distilling methods used to produce some of the most homemade but EPIC stuff around. Met Brian, the distiller, who was gracious enough to show us the operation and talk about some of the magic he makes while giving us a tasting. This place is so, so cool. They make some very unusual liqueurs here, and the previous reviews I read about the raspberry were right...omg, SO GOOD. What an amazing spot! We stopped in here during our Ugly Sweater pub crawl in Snohomish. The samples Ryan was generously handing out were delish and our party loved the industrial decor. The Nocino (walnut liquor) is my favorite and is an old fashioned cocktail featured at the Repp. The gin was also a favorite of mine as I can't resist a quality gin, I'm usually a Hendricks devotee but, could see myself pouring this beautifully infused beverage on occasion ... ok weekly , daily? Everything I had was very good, particularly enjoyed the spiced apple liqueur served warm. Also tried the gin which was solid, on the spicy minty side, white rum was very vanilla and smooth despite the 80proof. Tried the other three liqueurs too, raspberry was delicious, smooth and sweet, walnut was interesting, and the coffee was not too sweet or bitter, could definitely taste the cold brew coffee they use. Will definitley go back to buy more next time I'm in town. read more

Fantastic place!! I'm a big fan of their Double Barrel Aged Rum. The authentic potato (locally grown!!) Vodka is also excellent, as well as the whiskey and the Spiced Apple Liqueur.
