I just played this course for the first time in a long time , it is not in my rotation. I enjoyed the course , decent conditions for 4-3-26 on Good Friday. I haven't had as many balls fly by us ever, dangerous layout and a-lot of early season duffers, duffing. I enjoyed the course, medium difficulty and pretty wide open but a few long par 4's and a few long par 3's. I would definitely play here again but it won't be in the rotation. A really nice course. I am literally still in my golf clothes, having just come home from playing here. The course was well maintained, with wide fairways and well manicured greens. The course played fairly easy, which is a GOOD thing, so its perfect for us mid to high handicappers (I'm an 18 HDCP myself.) I was able to par most holes, and birdie a few of the par 3's and "short" par fours. The greens were INSANELY fast and offered some good breaks. There aren't too many hazards, as I didn't see any water, except on 18, and I avoided all the sand traps, so I didn't even notice if there were many. The food grill had some decent prices, and although I didn't eat, the food smelled and looked great. Its a bit of a drive, but I would definitely play here again. read more

Been playing here since I was 10 and the course has never looked this good. Highly recommend a trip to Skippack Golf Club, as it seems to get better every year! While you are there...ask for Nick in the pro shop. Nick is an amazing golf instructor who can break the swing down and simplify your thoughts. Lots of potential but pretty short. Great for beginners and the price is very reasonable. However, it's very beat up. The tee boxes are always in bad shape and the overall groundskeeping needs a lot of work. If you're a golfer, probably not your course. Skippack is decent little muni situated in Evensburg State Park. Being a muni the prices are very reasonable, however that can cause the course to be very crowded. There are several very nice holes on the course. However the maintenance isn't the best and there were some dead spots and dried, cracked greens this past summer. All in all it's a decent place to play a round. read more

I play Skippack golf course about five times a year. I enjoy the course. The front is very playable and more open then the back nine. It's a good warm up for the amen corner of 12, 13, and 14th holes. They are a great test of your golf skills. And can easily turn into three 7's on your card if you don't play them wisely. The course has been in good shape the last couple of years and the new sand traps have made the course better. The greens can be a little too hairy at times and makes putting difficult due to being so slow, but I've seen them really good at times as well. It is a good course. Not a great course. But it has a couple great holes that make it worth the trip. And when you're done playing they have the best 19th hole around. read more

Those interested in playing Skippack, your lucky I just started typing. Like all the courses in the area, I play this place often and know it well. I play this course every Saturday morning, I play what they call "the Early Bird." You can walk the back nine for $15 if you get there early enough, I like to tee of at 6:50a. The prices here are excellent and everyone knows it. The conditions of this course are some of the worst in the area, but it's not because of lack of trying. I'd say it's in better shape every year and the weather plays a huge part. The biggest reason there are so many bald spots is that they are always open and will get anyone on who wants to play. It by far has the NICEST STAFF in the area. The good people at Skippack might add to the reason why this course gets so much play. Sorry to say no Ranger here. They may have one on the weekends sometimes but the pace can get really bad there. It's a Par 70 and the greens are always sooooo slow. The speed up sometimes, especially in the winter. They have GAP matches there sometimes and I bet they got them fast then. There are a couple of greens 6 and 12 that are really hard to hold with certain pin placements but rare occasions. The 13th Hole is known as one of the most difficult holes in Montgomery County. Check it out for yourself. I wish I could buy my pre-round Gatorade in the pro shop but I got to go to the restaurant or the grill if it's open. August 2020. My boss called and made a reservation for a five-some on a Wednesday morning around 9 am. We received two tee times so we would not slow the pace. In front of us was a Asian eight-some. Why they weren't broken up is beyond me. Behind us was a elderly male double and two singles that kept jumping between holes. We even asked on multiple occasions if they would like to play through, realizing these were regulars on the course. We were told by someone on the staff, we needed to break up due to complaints. We had a four hour pace going for 18 holes. Splitting us up into a two and three significantly slowed our pace for our last five holes of the 18. I should point out I believe the reason why was because we had two disabled vets, one of which an African-American, and one golfer that is part native American playing in our five-some. It would appear this course or the regular golfers do not like the BLM movement. Especially when the African American person was riding alone in a cart due to covid-19 concerns. I would have to say extremely disappointed in the condition of the course, and negativity by the staff member saying "it's the visual." I think they should remember once the grumpy older golfers stop playing, they will be looking to younger generations for revenue or risk going under and I can say I will not be paying to play this course again, I'd rather invest in a country club golf membership. read more

Can't beat the price (look for deals online). The course is normally in okay shape. Fairways are extremely narrow. You'll be hearing (and saying) "fore!" a lot. But all-in-all, a good golf experience. read more

Skippack is a great course for a beginner golfer. Outside of a 3 hole stretch starting on 12 it is fairly open and forgiving. Prices are reasonable and they have summer camps for kids and great value for personal lessons. read more

Played yesterday for the first time. Not sure why anyone would rate it above a "2". There really isn't enough acreage for 18 holes, so about 8 holes are crammed along the stream in awkward ways. Greens were in the worst condition I've seen any greens this year with large bouncy pockmarks on most. Many geese and their droppings have taken over the 17th green. Also, I paid $42 for a round, so I definitely don't place this muni in the "bargain" category. read more

Love this course. My favorite in the area. Feel very comfortable playing there and never had a bad experience. I golf as a single about 50% of the time and usually get put with a group. Everyone I've played with there has been great. Friendly, approachable, and just out there to have fun. Fairways are pretty open and many elevation changes make it fun. The greens are a killer. There are some where if you hit the wrong place on the approach your chance of sinking the putt are almost 0. I think its the 12th green...the pin is usually on the lower tier. If you land the approach on the upper and miss the putt say bye bye to your ball cause it will roll right down the hill and off the green. That is followed by the 13th hole which is the toughest hole on the course. Only had a pace of play issue once. There was an older couple 3 groups ahead of us killing everyone. They were walking off the 16th green and both 17 and 18 had no one on them so they were easily almost 30 minutes behind. Nice little snack stand at the turn to grab a burger and a beer. Greens fees are very reasonable as well. read more

I am really not sure why this course needs to be $55.00 to play. AT best it is a $30.00 course. Some holes on the course are in tough shape. Looks like they over book the course, not sure how on the front nine had a two-some in front of us, then on the back nine had a single, then the a group of 5?
