The first time I played here I absolutely hated the course. The second time I played the course I hated it , but realized that it is a track that you need to get to know. Now I really like the course as I know how to play it. I recommend spending a few extra dollars on the course yardage book and also you must play the correct tee box for your handicap. If you play the wrong tees on some holes you will really not have fun. The greens are very hard to describe , they are very challenging and have large mounds and slopes. It is important to know where the pin positions are and if the greens were fast they would be impossible. They keep them on the slower end of the spectrum, probably around 8-9 so they are playable. I usually putt very well on the bent grass greens here. It is a great place to play a match in match play format, a high score in a hole or three is inevitable. The 19th hole is great . Good food and drinks.

The weather broke last week and like most people in the Philadelphia area who damn near lost their minds this winter, it was the best thing to happen since John Bolaris came back to town. Weather.com clued me in on the happiness and in about 5 minutes I made a tee time and drove to Lederach (Thursday) and played for $30. 1pm tee time. I have played here probably 8-99 times prior. I really like the course. It is always in good shape, long course at almost 6,700 yards from the blues (over 7,000 from the blacks) and the staff / players have always been friendly. The greens are a bit unfair in places so have your putter in check. 3 and 4 putts are not uncommon. It was a really nice day and to my surprise there were not many people out on the course. i realize people have jobs. So do I. I just make my own hours. Perfect for a golf addict. When I went there they didn't have any water out on the course and the bathrooms were locked which I thought to be a little lazy. I realize its early in the season but put someone in a cart with a bunch of little keys that say master, some jugs of water and send them on their way. Its not like it was early in the day either. i had a 1pm tee time so by the time i got to the bathrooms is was 2:30ish. The course is surrounded by nice homes. So nice, they should have open bathrooms so I don't have to relive myself by the Cleavers swing set. The homes are close to the course but not close enough to be a worry. This is probably the only "problem" I've had there. The course is great and worth the money. There is one green in particular. You will know it when you see it. It is a score killer. Its straight out of a carnival fun-house.

I finally found A public course that stretches out to over 7000 yards so I got to open it up a bit and it was fun!

If I were closer, I could see myself going to Freddy Hill on the regular, instead I only really made it out once every other month for their amazing ice cream. I have been to their mini-golf once or twice. It is certainly a good date spot for young and old. I appreciate how they have covered and uncovered driving ranges with cheap buckets-o-balls. I cannot comment on their batting cages other than to say they have them. So seriously, back to the ice cream. You can get what you like in cup or cone. Or, hear me out, you go to the shop (attached to the ice cream joint) and get a bucket (err gallon) and bring it home to enjoy for slightly longer. They have standard and more unique options. My go to is Peanut Butter. Freddy Hill, you will be missed. I hope I get out there at least once more before it is time...

I've experienced many beautiful sunsets while at a round of mini golf. It's definitely something nice to do after you've had dinner at home or just wanna get out for the evening. Mini golf is awesome and hitting some balls at the range is always a crowd pleaser there is batting cages as well. Pricing is perfect! They offer a military discount as well, which is nice. I'm not sure about any other discounts every time we go. We have a fantastic time. Staff is very helpful. They are always working and cleaning up areas. After a round of mini golf or hitting some balls at the driving range, I always and my visit with vanilla peanut butter ice cream in a pretzel cone. That is the only way to end a day at Freddie Hill Farm. NOTE: Freddy Hill Farm will be closing at the end of the summer at some point I happen to see a news article go out from a local paper and also on social media. So if you've been thinking of going or you need to get your fixed before they close or go under new membership, I would go this summer and or now.

The actual bar was kind of small. I would have expected it to be bigger considering this would be a frequent stop for the golfers. I wanted the cheesesteak eggrolls for an appetizer and was informed they were out of them...okay...second choice was crab stuffed poppers. The poppers were good. This was probably a better choice than the eggrolls. I was a little confused by the condiments - marinara and duck sauce. I tried both with the poppers. Neither option seemed correct but I ended up using the marinara. I ordered the salmon entree which included black beans and rice. They were out of rice. I was asked to substitute green beans. Fine. How are you out of rice!!?!? I would think this would be a kitchen staple. Salmon wasn't horrible and the black beans were okay. The green beans were crunchy. Okay for me personally but I would imagine not perfect for others. Sorry to say this is not a place I would frequent or even return to any time soon.
