The car owner went to this place to get an estimate. The shop called me and told me that the estimate was $700, which is under the $1000 threshold for an insurance surcharge. That's why I opted to go with insurance. Once the insurance was involved, I was told the estimate was over $1000, and that the shop would ask for a supplemental claim for even more money. When I called the shop to complain about the $700 estimate going over $1000. I was told that the original low estimate was only because the owner wanted to keep my out-of-pocket repair costs low and opted to not to do a 'full' repair. I wish they had told me that when I was given the $700 estimate, so I would know 'full' insurance repairs would be over $1000 and lead to a surcharge. Did the shop withhold information so they could make more money with an insurance repair? I'll let you decide.

From the other review I read, he is the owner. The price was very reasonable, much cheaper than the local dealer, and the same as the local discount brake chain who I avoid at all costs. The tech and owner were very professional in the shop and the brake job was right on point. They took me immediately the next morning and had my car done when I requested. I had them look at another potential issue that the dealer said "looking for money" needed to be fixed. He provided on point and helpful information. All I can say is that these guys are not salesmen just honest mechanics. This is hard to find these days. I will be returning for future repairs and maintenance.

I got the part easy enough ($13 ppd) and looked at a YouTube video and it looked pretty straightforward but since i didn't have the ability to lift my car i didn't think it would go so easily. so, i brought the part down today, and was back in action about 15 minutes later. $30 charge, i gave an extra $10 because the process was so easy and simple. would highly recommend!
