This place is awful. It's jammed on the tiniest property imaginable, and directly on the main road. There is no parking lot, and unless you are second online, you are parked out on the main street. If the line is big enough, you can't even get on line. The couple times I actually made it work at this place, the quality of the wash was not worth the inconvenience and price of getting it. read more

Work done quickly perhaps a little too quickly as an area of detritus on the outside of the passenger door was missed. This oversight may have been due to our asking for the passenger seat to be wiped down while the door was being worked on, which redirected the focus of the workman. I don't wish to write trash review based on 1 experience but I have to make a point from my less-than-stellar experience today. Two negatives: 1) Ignorant pricing & bad communication during payment and 2) Work quality First - at the end of the job, guy asked me, "Cash?" and when I said "No, credit card", he just took it and without informing me of the price, just charged it, did not ask if I want a receipt, and returned it to me without a word. Not that I ask for a 5-star service at a place like this but C'mon. So I asked, "$27?" and he said, "$38" My Telluride is almost 197" and is a Midsize SUV - a half to full foot or more shorter than Full-size SUVs like Ford Expedition (210"), BMW x7 (203"), Chevy Tahoe (210.7"), and so on. I tried to explain to him but he had the nerve to point out small crossovers like Rav4 and CR-V parked around the area telling me those are midsize. My car looks boxy but isn't a full-size, but he obviously thought he knew better than the owner who spent 6+ months researching the car before buying it. So I dropped it - waste of my time. At the very least, he should've confirmed the price with the customer before charging it. Second, even though they weren't that busy (had 2 other cars), when they were done, there were water streaks on both sides. So much for a detailed wash. This left a bad taste in my mouth - I'll be taking my business to the other hand carwash in North Bergen where you can actually talk to the guy to confirm pricing before going through it. read more

If your car is really dirty, I'm talking dirt speckles and water scum marks caked on for days, your car may need two washes here. They charge their prices as they see fit. I actually got a cheaper cost versus most people from previous pricing pictures I saw. I'm happy enough with how they washed my car and cleaned my interior. Hand wash to avoid swirls that automated car washes give you, and tire shine solution applied to the wheels afterwards. Note that the spray they use on their towels for cleaning your interior could leave streaks on your windshield, dash, and seats. Minus points on the wild west of employee to customer treatment. Good employees for the most part, aside from one individual that directs traffic. I pull up following how he motions his hands, but he turns his head away for a quick second. I stopped because I would've gotten too close to the car being washed in front. Individual turns his head back facing me, and then gets upset with how much I pulled up; banging his hand on the hood of my car three times. The lines here are always long ... and for good reason. This is one tiny car wash, but they definitely deliver when it comes to attention to detail. For those of you who don't like putting your metal baby through an assembly line wash with giant brushes and all that riff raff, then this little hand wash joint is a good choice for you. They do a solid job inside and out of the vehicle. My relatively dirty car (thanks to all of the nasty road salt during the winter) came out looking 100% top notch. They did a good job of getting all of the nasty stuff off the surface and had the inside of the SUV in great shape. The folks who work here are also pretty friendly and get things done. Again, the lines here are pretty long, especially on weekends, and there is a good reason why. I was at Skippys hand car yesterday because I had a good amount of bird poop on my car. Not only were they unable to get all of the of the bird poop off my car, three massive scratches on the drivers seat leather appeared. (directly after the car wash a few massive scratches on the drivers seat leather appeared, Almost as if someone had something sharp in their pocket and then went ahead and sat in my seat anyways) on my brand new, not even one month old 2024 Dodge hornet. When I called, they told me to return the next morning and they would take a look at it. After arriving the next morning, As a young female in my 20s , I felt personally extremely uncomfortable getting directly yelled at by the owner, him yelling at my face that I had an " attitude" And he won't help people like me.... Also accused me of lying. Mentioning that "people come in all the time and lie" Implying that my seats were already scratched when I came to him and I was lying... which I know for a fact they weren't since it's a brand new car. Not a nice guy I will never be returning or giving them my money ever again. I like this location. I usually go to New York City for a hand car wash tried them out a couple times. Honestly. The only reason they don't get five stars is because I wish they would spend a little more time on drying the car. Those dry water marks dripping down the middle of your driver door does make your car look ugly and dirty even though it was just washed. But for a quick wash and go I totally recommend them. Being a one car at a time hand wash spot, you're going to wait...a long time if there is a line around the corner. There is no getting around that unless you come at an off time. The actual wash itself is pretty good, though the prices are a bit high. Yes, you get a better wash than some crappy auto wash, but for $27, i feel like they should have done better to get some of the crud off the interior of my windows. Overall, the wash was pretty good as so long as you're not coming in all the time, it's worth the money. Nice and friend workers and customer. they do a real nice job when my car is super dirty. after it's done being washed I likes new. and when I schedule a detail they tell me to bring it in to see how dirty it is and give me a reasonable price that I'm happy with. They ask me to bring it in at 7:30am and when they call me to pick it up, it looks like the same car that I bought from the dealership. If I could give Skippy a negative star review I would, do not go there . Their employees are a bunch of thieves and can not be trusted. I went to Skippy's on Saturday July 31to have my pickup cleaned. Just before I went I stopped at a store near the Police station, as usual I paid the parking meter with change that is in my ash tray compartment. The compartment is pretty big and had to contain about $30 to $35 worth of coins. After the car wash, I came home and parked my truck and didn't use it until Monday August 2. I stopped at the same store and when I went into the ash tray to get change for the meter it was completely empty. It was even wiped clean with a rag because I haven't cleaned it out in three years since I bought the truck no dust or dirt. Called up Skippy's and they denied everything. I am not the type of person to make false allegations but nobody drove the truck but me and it didn't move for two days. It is not about the $30 or so dollars but being honest with your customers. I've been here a few times and now feel that this place is slacking a little. The car wash itself is quick and the staff is friendly but the staff isn't taking it's time to really clean the car. When charging almost $20 for a wash I expect the car to look good and I noticed some spots around the tire, door and windows are wiped down poorly. Located between two building, this small, one roof car wash is manned by at least 12 guys ready to clean, wash, and dry your car. The cost depends on the size of the car, but still a great deal for an old-fashined hand washing. In addition to the hand wash, they vacuumed inside and even the trunk. They were very thorough. On request, they also removed an old sticker that had been on the window for awhile, which I have been too lazy to remove myself. They are quick and friendly.
