It's behind a few really large apartment complexes so that ensures it will get action. I went at 3:30 (it's winter now and gets dark at 4:30) and this was a great time to go (right before dark). About a dozen+ dogs were here and same goes for their owners. Large Vs small sides but very few dogs on the small side. A woman said that it's pretty busy in the morning and right before dark but dead during the day. Very clean, dog poop bags provided, and ppl seem cool. So far so good.

I'm definitely going to follow other users, advice, and park at the brewery rather than walking in from the Parkside Because it would be really fun to have a drink and get something at the food truck after going to the dog park and wearing out the pup overall, it was a great place. The Park toilets were well-maintained and the playground at the park looks nice if you wanna take the kids after you play with the dogs.

Some went and grabbed a 4 pack of beers and brought them over to the dog park. Thought that was a great idea. Lots of water bowls around, not filled though bring your own water. This is one of Denver's smallest parks with 80 acres surrounded by the Capitol Hill neighborhood…read moreand the Denver Botanic Gardens on the east side. There is both a paved and gravel path around the outside perimeter and a large grassed open space inside. There are 4 walk-in entrances on the west side and 3 entrances on the east side. No parking inside. A part of the former loop road which closed in 2020 is open to cars on 12th Ave. No car access from 8th or 13th Ave. Plenty of porta-potties including handicap accessible. No other services. I walked around the park from the southwest corner in 35 minutes, about 3500 steps.There is a marble pavilion on the east erected in 1907 with rose gardens on both north & south sides and 3 fountains fscing west when Spring returns. I had difficulty in finding street parking on the west side. During my walk, I saw plenty of spots to park on the east side.

I will say it was very disappointing as there weren't many Pokemon players like there used to be back in the day. Due to my back injuries I couldn't enjoy the park as long as I used to.

From there, stop by the bar and check your dog in with the bartenders (this will be step one after your first visit). They have lots of beer to choose from and often have food trucks available. The bartenders and patrons were all very friendly. We came at 6pm in June and the dog park section was nicely shaded. Such a relief after a very warm day in the front range. In the dog park there are water bowls available to keep your dog hydrated while they're playing with all of their newly made friends! I particularly loved how laid back this dog park/bar is. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

My son has recently discovered fishing, and Rocky Mountain Lake Park allows catch and release and is close to our house, so we've enjoyed fishing there a few times lately.
