I bring little Wellington here, and he loves it! This place is a great inexpensive place for doggy daycare in Park Hill. It's pretty small, but they do have appropriate, separate spaces for the big dogs and the smaller dogs. Something I love about this place is that there are 2 options for daycare--the half day option (6 hours or less) or the full day option (more than 6 hours). I work from home on most days, so I only really take Welly to doggy daycare so he can socialize with other pups. Having a half day option allows me to let my dog have some playtime without burning a hole in my wallet. The staff here are super friendly, and it's obvious they love dogs here. And my dog loves them! The last time I brought him here, he came home super happy and absolutely exhausted from all the playtime he's had during the day. Small downside to BFF Pet Care: they're only open on weekdays! I sometimes run long errands on weekends and would love to get the pup some playtime but unfortunately BFF Pet Care isn't open then. I also wish they had online reservations because that'd be super convenient if I forget to call during business hours. Let's start with a disclaimer: my lil girl, Scout, is a mixed pointer and blue heeler. She cannot help that she has severe anxiety. Anxiety mixed with a high energy breed is a challenge .The staff at Best Friends is wonderful with her. Each doggy daycare I have taken her to, she comes home shaking and refuses to return. At Best Friends she goes in the door and the staff take time to give her the human reassurance she needs. Every single time. She is a needy lil one. I know this. And I am thankful this business is a smaller doggy daycare. I feel she gets more human attention and is more comfortable interacting with the other pups. It is local and reasonably priced. Win, win and win. On Friday, after picking Scout up from daycare I noticed that her right cheekbone was swollen and her eye was a little weepy. At pickup the staff didn't mention that she was playing rough and got nipped or possibly scratched. I left a voicemail and when the daycare opened on Monday morning I received a prompt message from Nancy. She had asked the staff and no one remembers any sort of rough play etc. What really impressed me, she offered to comp a total of three daycare days and to pay for all vet bills. This is above and beyond! I never thought that the business would offer to comp days and a vet bill. Dogs will be dogs and playing is the reason I take her to daycare. But the offer was so generous (and unnecessary!) it showed the dedication ,love and vigilance that the staff have for the pups they take care. I really feel as if they love my fur baby too. And what more could a working mom want? I will continue to take her there, and continue to refer Best Friends. I feel even more confident that Scout plays away her days at the best possible place. read more

Since we have never boarded our dogs, we tried to find a person to come and take care of our four legged friends for four days while attending to family matters in the Midwest. I went and brought my furry family members over to meet Owner Rick Morrissey at this store on 23rd. Although not necessary to bring them there to meet him, he was very welcoming and the dogs loved him. My husky is very cautious about new people but didn't even flinch at him. She loved him from the get-go. Rick scheduled a time to stop by and see our place and learned the habits of our walks and feedings. After a 10-15 introduction and education to our home, I gave him the keys and trusted that he would take care of our furry kids. It a lot for me to trust random strangers to come into my home. However, after meeting Rick (the Owner = easy to find him), my gut told me this guy is completely trust worthy. To my surprise, he was more than that. We returned four days later without having any contact, and found our kids happy at home. For less than $50 a day, he stopped by, played, walked and feed these two medium sized monsters. They must have loved him! Nothing was shredded or destroyed. He left us a nice little welcome (written from the dogs perspectives). He did require a waiver and up-to-date shots. He also runs a daycare at his store on 23rd street. I respect his professionalism and caring for the welfare of his other clients. I've been really happy to bring my dog here. They are well organized and, unlike our last doggie daycare, actually kept track of when our dog's bordatella vaccine expired. The last place we went to required up to date shots when we first signed up, but after that never asked for updates after that. (Of course we keep our dog up to date with shots, but they would have no way of knowing that....) Anyways! I'm much happier with BFF Pet Care. They're always so friendly when we drop off and pick up. Harper is happy and tired from all the playing when we pick him up. I like that they get walks in addition to dog play time, and I like seeing the photos they post of the dogs on their facebook page. Bonus extra frosting on top is that they have a partnership with a mobile vet so we can make an appointment for the vet to come see Harper at daycare (to give shots or what have you) instead of having to take time off work or make an appointment on the weekend. read more

So far, so good! Just tried this place's daycare services. Our fur-ball came home tired, happy, and not overly stinky. They did obviously use some kind of cleaning wipe on him before he went home, which I greatly appreciate. When I work 12 hours, I hate to pick up my pup smelling like he rolled in a combo of rotting garbage and raw sewage... which is exact what happened at another downtown daycare. My husband was impressed that staff knew who he and our pup was immediately on arrival to drop off and pick up. My husband and I have been bringing our puppy Chewy here and he absolutely LOVES it! Not only is it convenient, we we live in Park Hill and both work downtown, it's a place where we can take our dog and not have to worry about him during the day. All of the employees are very nice and courteous, as well as loves our dog. They let us know if his vaccinations need to be updated, his nails need to be trimmed (oops!) or how he behaved with the other dogs there that day. We also appreciate the other services they offer, such as in-home visits / walks. Their employee Kyle came to our house while we were at work and walked Chewy for 30 minutes. If you're looking for a pet care for you're best friend. Look no further. This place is amazing and my Mr Grey Freckles just loves it so much. Every time we drive towards it. That's it the moment he realizes where he's going all hats are off. Starts jumping in the car and wining. This neighborhood pet day care is awesome. They supported us when I lost my job and had no money to take my dog in. They donated us a 10 day package so he can still go and enjoy his friends I am absolutely hats down for them. They have a half day that is up to 6 hr of stay something I haven't seen with the other places. This makes it even more accessible for me and my crazy schedule. Everyone that works there are just amazing with pets. I truly believe they give lots of love to them because my dog just can't wait to go in and kiss everyone. This place has been great with my American Eskimo, Pippin. She has separation anxiety, and just can't handle being left alone. The staff has always been very understanding and helpful. I have only left my dog there for half days, but I feel comfortable that if I have to leave her there for a full day, she will be safe and well-cared for. We have been taking our 2 Australian Shepherds to BFF Petcare for several years now. We looked at the big daycare centers with all the bells and whistles and liked the more personal atmosphere this provides. The BEST part of BFF is hands-down the staff, especially the crew right now. They really know our dogs, can tell us what kind of day they had, and they just provide a calm, carefree, and fun environment where our sometimes-high-strung-Aussies can relax and enjoy their day. We also appreciate how flexible and easy-going to management is. If we need to change the schedule unexpectedly or skip a day at the last minute they don't impose fees. Heidi, Holly, and Claire are absolutely amazing and so great with the dogs. I have heard of them and let me just say--they ROCK!!! They love the dogs. I feel safe when I drop off my little pup--I know he is in good hands. They know what they are doing and have experience; the pick ups and drop offs sound like they would be so helpful. The girls have warming smiles and compassionate hearts. I feel 110% glad that I chose BFF Pet Care and wouldn't have it any other way. These girls bust their butts everyday making sure the dogs are taken care of and that the facility is spotless. Rick has been taking care of my dogs for several years now and goes above and beyond his duties (brings in the mail, waters the plants, accident clean-up, random foster dogs care etc) and always with a smile. He comes to my house and walks them every day and when out of town he takes care of them as well. They love him and very much look forward to his walks. The best thing is that I know he loves them back and would do whatever it takes if necessary. I never worry when out of town cause I know Rick is keeping an eye on them. The staff at Best Friends Forever Pet Care is THE best. It has been 3 years since we first started utilizing their services which started with a few days here and there at BFF Pet Care for our then 6 month old pup. Because he didn't need to be there every day, we also scheduled at-home potty breaks during the day when we could not be there. SO convenient and not insanely priced! Within the pup's first year, he developed freak, orthopedic issues that kept him from playing at BFF. Rick, the owner, even offered to come help unload our boy from the car and get him into the house after his multiple surgeries. The man is a saint and dogs know it (and so do we). When Rick is out taking care of his stay-at-home doggy clients, the pups at day care are in the remarkable hands of Robin. Another saint who also knows her dogs, knows their language AND knows customer service. Rick, Robin and other staff at BFF are the best in our opinions. There is no reason to go anywhere else. The staff is delightful and nothing is better than picking up pups who are worn out from a day a furry fun (at a price point that isnt outrageous like some other daycares) Heidi in particular has treated our dogs as if they were her own and has been instrumental in helping us care for two very high energy cattle dogs! She has gone out of her way to help us with scheduling and made our pups part of her family while we were away for a long weekend... I rescued a sweet loving german shephard mix a few years ago and wanted to expose her to other dogs while i was working to help tire her out. our first couple of days here were great, she was pooped every time we got home. Then i started getting calls about her biting the staff and picking fights with the other dogs. I was very shocked by all of this, becuase i had never seen this behavior in her. At the dog park she loved playing with the other dogs and never got aggressive. In fact, i'd never seen her so much as growl at another dog or person. I expressed my sincerest apologies, but instead every time i picked her up i was reprimanded by the girl at the desk and told that "another customer who was picking up his dog is a lawyer and saw her behavior and said she is a lawsuit waiting to happen." I cried on multiple occasions because of the way i was treated after picking her up from here and after that instance i never took her back again, even though i had prepaid for a few more days. Fast forward a few years and she is an amazing well behaved, never aggressive loving dog. read more

The staff is attentive and cares about the well being of each individual spending the day with them. They let me know if they notice anything that should be brought to my attention. BFF Pet Care is awesome!!! 3 years ago we took in my mom's 2 cats because she could no longer take care of them. Shortly thereafter, one of the cats, Mr. Muff, got sick and needed regularly scheduled medicine and food which made it impossible to go anywhere, until we found Rick. Whether we were gone a week on vacation or overnight camping, Rick came to our rescue. Rick followed Mr. Muff's medicine/fodd schedule by coming to our house twice a day while we were gone. He even sorted our mail, watered our plants, and checked around the house for anything out of the oridinary. Rick always sends picture texts which gives you great piece of mind to actually know someone is at your house caring for your loved ones. At the end, he also leaves a note summarizing his visits. Sadly, Mr. Muff passed away this past January but we still have him check in on his brother, Mr. Buff, when we go out of town. I can't put to words how amazing it is to have someone you trust wholeheartedly to take care of your family members as if they were their own. I was so nervous trying to find a good daycare and dog walking service when I first adopted my puppy but this place does it all. BFF is the literally that...the best! I started using their dog walking services when my puppy was too young to go to day care but I needed a little extra help while I was at work. From the moment I met Rick and Anne, I felt comfortable with them coming into my home and taking my puppy out for walks and play time. I loved having the text updates and reassurance that he was doing well after they got done playing with him. Once he got old enough, I started taking him to daycare and he has been a regular ever since. He has a great time there and comes home happy and tired each time. He perks up in the morning when I just mention daycare! Rick and Robin are so wonderful and I feel like they really care about his health and happiness. Not a huge fan. I tried it out 1 day and my dog seemed to have a blast. I took her back and we got a call about her running down the street. The only job for the daycare is to not let her run away. She escaped and they had no clue. Be very careful as they truly didn't even know our dog had been let out and was running around in a strange neighborhood. Thanks to good people that helped grab her and made sure she was safe. Very disappointed as it is a great location but cannot trust someone that can't watch my pup. read more
