My dream of riding in a hot air balloon came true with Sky Adventures of Oxford, MI. The whole experience was fabulous. Dennis was wonderful to work with and really did everything he could to make the experience special for our family of 5. The pilot, Richard, was a delight--he was interesting and highly experienced, and we felt safe and informed throughout the journey. Watching the 4 enormous balloons in our group inflate before everyone's eyes was captivating. The gentle movement of the floating balloon was calming, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the panoramic views. The ride itself lasted about an hour, providing ample time to take in the spectacular views and capture plenty of photos. The ground crew was also professional and organized, ensuring a smooth and safe take-off and landing. In addition, they took a bunch of photos of us in the balloon and shared them with us. To cap off the adventure, a delightful champagne toast was enjoyed, a perfect way to celebrate this incredible experience. My dad, sister, and I had an absolutely wonderful, beautiful time in a hot air balloon. I am afraid of heights but a Hot Air Balloon ride was on my dad's bucket list. The driver, Richard, was so calm, welcoming, informative, and funny that my nerves did not take away from enjoying the beautiful views and ride. The owner Dennis is absolutely awesome. What a totally breathtaking experience we had, celebrating our anniversary with Sky Adventures! Thanks to Dennis and his crew and especially our pilot, Andy, our first flight was filled with many panoramic sights. The added celebrating back at Red Knapp's for a champagne toast and some munchies, with all of the passengers and crew, all added to a spectacular experience. We can't wait to fly again! read more

A friend and I each purchased a reduced price flight coupon through social media, and decided that we would wait until autumn to fly. Our original flight was scheduled for October 18th, but the weather didn't cooperate. Luckily Dennis was able to book us for the very next Sunday evening. And Mother Nature gave us some fantastic flying weather. Our pilot was Dave, and we shared the basket with a young married couple from the metro area. We were up and away quickly, gently soaring over beautiful farms, lakes and horse country. The fall colors were magnificent - it was a good thing that our original flight was postposed. Sky Adventures makes it very easy to enjoy your flight. Everyone travels with their pilot to the launch site, where the balloons are quickly setup, passengers safely loaded and then you lift off to enjoy the peace of just floating along gently. Our landing was easy, and in a perfect location to pack up and load the envelope and basket. The pilot made sure to stop and thank the landowners for the use of their property, and then we all headed back into Oxford for some celebratory bubbly at Red Knapp's. Had a great time up in the air with Dennis this morning. We were so glad the IFR and fog were agreeable enough to still go. Definitely worth the early time to be in the air for sunrise. It was 63 Fahrenheit and I was expecting it to be colder in the air, but we had only a light wind so the temp ended up being perfect with a comfy sweatshirt on. My Brother proposed while in the air, and Dennis and his team did a great job working with us to keep it a surprise, and even provided champagne and donut holes for us after we landed! Our only complaint is for the travel agency that we ended up booking our ride through, for we originally found out about sky adventures via google, and they were very vague with the details of the trip. Therefore I would recommend just booking your ride directly with Sky Adventures. read more
