The ridiculous amount of fire alarms in the building is BEYOND BELIEF!!! There have been over 10 in the past 3 yrs, 2 in the last 2 months alone!! One at midnight when everyone was asleep. The extremely loud alarm, loud even with ear plugs in, lasts around 30 minutes. In the wintertime, when its cold and rainy, I've seen people in their pajamas waiting outside the bldg for the firemen to arrive and locate the problem. Never once has there been a fire. I know a few people that have stopped evacuating due to the frequency and just wait it out inside their apartments!! You could be on an important business call, in the shower or asleep in bed and the ALARM will go off!!! Aargh!!! And it's LOUD!!!!! The system is too sensitive!!! They never do anything about it, just say they're sorry for the inconvenience. Soooo stressful!!!! Plus once a year, there is yearly testing where you need to leave the building for several hours while they test every room. I feel so sorry for all the pet owners and their pets having to put up with this!!! I'm editing my comment, as within one second after posting the above, the property mgmnt company replied saying it was a fire sprinkler in a residents apt. The reply must have been done automatically as no one can read a comment and type a long paragraph in response in a second! Less than Zero stars if I could. In addition to the insane frequency of fire alarms, they are not helpful or accommodating to their tenants and they will price gouge you at every corner and jack your rent 15% at renewal. I believe the turnover in the leasing office has a lot to do with the poor folks who work there who have to basically go against company policy to do good by their tenants. Now they have a person who takes their job very seriously. Nice enough but is a living embodiment of everything people hate about this place so I feel bad for her but also question why you'd want to be loyal to such a shady business. Yeah you may be a star employee but when their vacancies continue to skyrocket they'll blame you. For example, same ownership, different employees - would go out of their way to be helpful to tenants. Or just I don't know, do the right (human) thing? I am not able to come down and grab my guest and they refuse to send them up and say it's not their problem and nothing in the lease says they have to even though I'm calling and telling them who I'm expecting. If I was DISABLED do I think I'd get the accommodation I need if the property won't grant the helper the access they need?!?! And they wonder why so many people are vacating their properties!!!!!!! Honestly, I didn't want to believe the old reviews but not much will change here it will always be something. This is the same corporate greed that Americans are forced to deal with. For me, I'm stuck here until my lease ends and then I am DONE. No more because when you have a need they will lick their fingers while they count your cash and say too bad or that will cost extra or I'm sorry you died but you have to physically come down and buzz your doctor up. DO NOT LIVE HERE Having lived at Sky for a couple of years now, I can confidently say that the current management (Security Properties) have been the worst of the several management companies who've come in and failed to manage this building. Previous management hasn't been perfect, but they treated the people who live here like human beings, instead of assets for their portfolios. In the span of a few short months, Security Properties has: - Overcharged our rent by over a THOUSAND dollars, and when asked to refund it, they instead opted to give us "credit", so they held on to our money instead of giving it back to us. - Organised a building-wide full-day alarm test with exactly 1 business day of notice, where they said that all pets must not be on the property. After scrambling to find a safe location for my pet, we were notified on the morning of the alarm testing that it had actually been postponed for a month later. - They replaced most of our kitchen appliances with zero indication on why it was being done. There was nothing wrong with the appliances at all, and there were all in near-new quality. - Today, we received another notice to enter our home, stating that they were "fixing the windows with cranks". The windows are not broken, and work just fine. On their notice, they provide conflicting dates on when they must enter our apartment, and provide no information about why it's happening. - The garage doors seem to be broken AGAIN. This has been an ongoing problem on the property for years, and many residents have had their cars broken into. - We have random people parking in our PAID car space very frequently, and management are not very enthusiastic to prevent it from continually happening. No amount of movie nights, "wind down Wednesdays", corporate-sponsored snacks, or kitschy notices telling us how many fun events are planned in the next month make up for the fact that as residents, we should be treated like people. Please, if you are reading this and making a decision on where to live, DO NOT PICK SKY. We'll be looking for another apartment as soon as our lease is up. read more

Avoid living here! There is so much theft! Cars get broken into, mail room with everyone's packages get broken into, packages are opened and things go missing, rented storage spaces get broken into and management doesn't care to fix the theft issue or help residents feel safe. It's ridiculous for the amount of money you pay to live here! Do not live here, I fear for my safety everyday now and have so many things stolen from me here. They don't even tell other residents when this happens so that everyone is aware. It's very shady. It's far from luxurious. It's the worst place to live. read more

For months we got a strong smell marijuana coming into our apartment every single day, multiple times during the day. Sometimes this would even happen at 8AM during workdays. I wrote countless emails with complaints and made calls, but this never stopped. I also wrote emails to the customer service of the management company which were never replied. Most recently, they wouldn't answer calls for multiple days in a row! They just ignored me. The package room is a mess. Finding a package can be really time consuming. For a while it was problematic to even get in that room. Other properties in the area have individual lockers for ages. We've also had constant issues with our key fobs stopping to work randomly, imagine arriving late at night and not being able to get into your apartment. read more

Sky Sammamish is a great place to live. It is right next to everything you'll need and walking distance to City Hall and the YMCA. Patty, Halie, and Taylore are fantastic and have been extremely helpful. They are always on top of it no matter what we need. The guest suites are nice. My dad and brother came to stay a few nights with me and it was nice having a place for them to stay that was close by. Overall a great place to live. read more

I like this place because of close proximity to restaurants and grocery stores and my friendly neighbors, but management has a very poor communication skill, except Kyle, the assistant manager. Unfortunately, he no longer works for the company. They are so disconnected from one another. They are sending me information without validating or knowing tenancy programs. I am still waiting for the rest of my deposit. They require professional cleaning and carpet cleaning when moving out and they will ask for receipts. But when I moved in the bathroom was dirty and the washing machine had so many dog hair. I have emailed the management twice. They told me they will get back with me, but it has been 10 days (Update 14 days) and I have not received any communication from them. It is unacceptable that they can't return an email. The trash chute is always broken or full, the shared floor bathroom is out of order and fixing it takes months, the emergency hallway lights were very dimmed during power outage. It is actually very dangerous because if something were to happen and needs emergency evacuation, you can step on one another. During the summer, unless you have an AC, it gets so warm in the unit. The AC in the hallway is not evenly distributed. So, depending on where your unit is, it gets so warm. I came out of my apartment one morning and was suffocated by the heat. There are so many broken shared facilities that are not given enough attention. The staircase doors are not always secured. I have reported this to them and after 5 weeks it was still an issue. I asked them why this was not fixed, and I was told, "we don't know the why it is doing that". WHAT? So, in short, the building is not really secured. The package room is always disorganized. There were break-ins in the garage, and they have no cameras to help you. There is also a tenant who thinks the ADA parking spot is his designated parking. It was a constant battle with him and when I once forgot to put my father's ADA's pass, he called the cops on me (I am pretty sure he was the one who called). The building is going downhill in my opinion. All the good reviews were from a few years back when the apartment was new, and everything was in working condition. I have been apartment hunting for awhile on the east side and I keep coming back to the pictures of the layouts of the apartment homes for Sky. I wish I could find something as unique, interesting, inspiring and elegant. 95% of the apartments I have seen have beige carpets and beige walls and the layouts ugh. Boring. Kudos Sky! You have successfully raised the bar on apartment living. I need to be out of my condo by Aug. 30 or else I would have definitely rented here. In case anybody is wondering, no I wasn't paid to write this and I am not benefiting in any way for this review. We have now lived here a few weeks and are loving it. Staff is wonderful and accommodating; they helped us so much with our moving in. When we moved in we realized one of our blinds was broken; maintenance was there next day to replace it no problem at all. The units are virtually silent/soundproof in addition to the outside noise being next to nonexistent (so tranquil). The units seem pretty well built with top-of-line appliances, water stays warm forever and has good pressure, heat works, etc. We absolutely love our view and enormous balcony. There are the beautiful Sammamish Commons nearby and other great parks for people and pets. We can't get enough of being able to walk to Met Market, Chipotle, and other amenities/restaurants. The apartment amenities are second to none such as the Trash Valet service which picks up your trash from your door almost nightly (so convenient and not at all a smell/appearance issue in halls). I do wish there were a package locker system so that I knew my packages were locked safely, but there is still a package room that is surveilled and locked to only those with logged packages, and the system notifies you when you receive a package. We loved our previous apartment and community, but this place has become our new happy home! read more

I Live at SkyApartments in Sammamish,WA. I've been here for 2months. I have health issues and the staff has been great to get things changed to accommodate me. Kyle, the Assistant Community Director, is exceptionally helpful. He is efficient, kind, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with, bringing me so much more peace than where I came from. Always a smile on Kyle's face! He gets things fixed immediately and a joy to have around. Sky is a beautiful place and Kyle sure is the icing on the cake! Worst place ever. Management has made this a miserable place to live. Complaints and issues with noise. They do absolutely nothing at all. Kyle and Evan have zero communication skills and also have had many issues with them blaming people with certain issues. Whatever you do. Do not ever move here. Walls are thin and place is fancy junk. Literally trash everywhere and broken glass. Alot of vehicle break-ins. read more

Kyle, Taylor, Chris and George have all made our move so easy we can't say enough great things about the level of hospitality we have experienced at Sky Sammamish. From the amenities to having a direct line of communication our questions are always answered. There is always a friendly smiling face downstairs weather its Kyle, Taylor or Chris and they are all here to help. Especially, zooming into our experience around Covid-19, their communication regarding PPE has been hands down informative and safe. Our mail room is sanitized daily along with other community areas and residents are required to wear face mask in the community areas. You can also schedule any fixes your apartment needs and Gerorge will be happy to come into your home fully equipped with PPE for your safety. I would definitely recommend this community but mostly due to the beauty of living in Sammamish and the Hospitality! read more

Great new place to live! The staff, Taylore, Halie, Patti, and maintenance staff are very helpful and responds quickly to any request. They made moving in real easy. Great amenities, and secure package delivery service. Common areas are kept clean and tidy. Apartments are very nice! The location is excellent. Car was vandalized, my package burglarized, and the neighbors upstairs smoke off their balcony and are super noisy (even after hours). Walls are super thin. Im attempting to move out but they will not allow me to without paying a penalty of nearly 7k! This place is not safe, and in my opinion uninhabitable. They will sucker you into thinking its a nice environment but then once you voice any complaints they retaliate with passive aggressive emails and sly remarks downplaying any issues that have been raised. The package theft with the police report is my final straw, I've put up with so much from this apartment complex. Dont be fooled, this place looks nice but living here is a nightmare. read more

Living here was somewhat confusing/deceiving whether it good or not - Burglarized not too long ago according to a buddy of mine who still lives there on 5th floor and it didn't come to be as shocker. I moved here because I work in downtown Issaquah and thought I could save money by moving in here. Living here ended up being more expensive than I expected, so I moved north. Additionally, the main elevators would go out every once in while and there were fire alarms every few months, the constructions and their heavy-duty trucks everyday, inconsiderate neighbors and their kids, druggy looking maintenance people, stereos in their apts and cars, and goes with that deceptive The move-out experience is an utterly nightmarish and my experience was not an isolated event. I just moved out this not too long ago and I received an email from management stating that they were going to have to replace the carpet in the bedroom (approximately $600-$700), which seems expensive for how small the room was, but I said that was fine since my pet had a couple accidents and I can understand the need to replace it. Then the email stated that I would have to pay for them to replace all of the hardwood due to "water damage" ($2,730.00). They attached photos, which showed no damage and when I asked management about this, they stated pictures wouldn't show any damage but I should come by to see it in person. I sent my own pictures, which showed no damage. I also sent them a video, which I will try to upload. But then management insisted that I call their maintenance manager so he could explain why they would charge me this much. I stated that even if there was water damage in some places (although no photos or videos show this), I didn't understand why ALL of the flooring needed to be replaced. Management then told me that the floors were brand new when I moved in, so they needed to make them that way for the next tenant. (Having rented in the Seattle area since moving here for college a decade ago, it is my understanding that "No portion of any deposit shall be withheld on account of wear resulting from ordinary use of the premises. "RCW 59.18.280(a), so it never even crossed my mind that I would be financially responsible for ensuring the next tenant gets brand new floors.) Lots of other negative aspects of this place, I have fail to see that my experience with the Sky Sammamish is aligned with what others were saying. The management staff reminds me of those very incompetent resident assistant back from the college days. It seemed like that the apartment owner decided to hire either the flock of a very careless high school drop outs or some 3rd tier community college grads to manage the place. Some maintenance crews are okay and decent, but few of them look like the type of people who would come off as an disgusting image saying that they are on the drugs or something. The apartment is also extremely lacking of the structures that is the well-defined reinforcements which would prohibits tenants from being inconsiderate to the others. I lived in 7th floor and a good friend of mine still lives there on 5th floor. They are saying there are still some people carelessly using stereos up loud and you could almost hear them from the far outside of their apartment, and on the top it all off, everyday some lower class neighbors think it is okay to blast their car stereo coming back from the their dead end job and drive close to the apartment complex from the building where it is facing towards to the main lobby area. This place is literally filled with up to no good people. If I were you I would avoid this apt at all costs. It is not that complicated when you look at the simple logic here. There are type of people complains where there are majority of people would complain if any of those insensitive couple brings their unpredictable child to the theater even though the child is definitely not ready to behave in the public (disturbances like crying and running all over the places) You don't blame for those people who went there to appreciate the film, and you don't counter questioning them and calling them disrespectful when you especially disturbed the other group of people in the first place where it needs to be kept it quiet. Apparently the Sky apt condones the type of couple comes to the theater with their ill-mannered child think they are entitled to disturb other people and when they get questioned and they are being offensive. These have been brought up by me and a buddy of mind from 5th floor couple of times, but has never been addressed or improve over the course of time. That's why we moved out of there. Good thing we did. For the future tenants who are considering this apt, I will leave it up to you For anybody deciding to move into this place: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING at move in and move out.
