I scheduled a time block and arrived about 15 minutes early. The Instructor seemed a little put out and said you're only 30 minutes late. I said I didn't realize you wanted me here 45 minutes before my time block. The Instructor then went to a calendar and asked my name again, and said "Oh I guess you are early, well let's go." I thought to myself I'm not going to let his bad day ruin mine. As we walked over to the simulator his attitude completely changed. It turned into a great experience. I just recently took my Private Pilot Knowledge Test and the facility and staff are great. The staff takes there jobs very serious, but are very friendly. I was actually very impressed by the search prior to and after the exam. Very professional and explained everything prior to the test. Another great experience wish I lived closer.

When I went to fire the engine up to come home, nothing. The battery was dead, and the FBO had no start cart for a piston engine. I'm basically dead in the water. None of the mechanics shops are open, and hand propping is never a great option. I was busy calling every business on the field, and it was Above All to the rescue. Joel got stuff together, drove to my plane. He was exceptionally careful, and we talked about what we were going to do before starting. Long story short, the engine was started, and I was on my with minimal delay. I can highly recommend Above All for going above and beyond, and attention to safety.

I had to walk for several minutes from this parking lot, which itself has handicap parking spaces (again, makes no sense to me), to the actual airport. On my way back, I couldn't walk to this parking lot. I was in a lot of pain (nerve pain in ankles), and an American Airlines's employee was nice enough to take me to the parking lot in a wheelchair. Her name is Louisa or Luisa. She rembles Frances Farmer. Please, treat her right. She's a great person. Still, fuck Santa Barbara airport for not being handicap accessible.

The small lobby has plenty of snacks drinks and coffee and I was able to get invoiced via email. 10 gallons of fuel to waive the ramp fee was very reasonable. Overall another nice experience. Small transient parking is the second row from the hangers as you get to the end of the taxiway before the signature lobby.

The longer: My boyfriend and I were looking to do a private wine tasting for the two of us. I contacted Michael a month or so in advance, was able to pre-pay by credit card (yes - points!!), and found Michael to be so warm and helpful. We got picked up exactly on time in a Mercedes truck and drove 45 minutes to Santa Ynez. We started at Grassini family vineyards - where Jared led us through an incredible tasting experience, and gave us a tour of the property, including the wine cellar and wine production areas. Michael had set up an adorable picnic for us near the lake, but we weren't quite hungry yet, so without question - he picked up and we moved onto the next spot. It was pretty hard to top Grassini, but Roblar Vineyard was beautiful, had such nice staff and an outdoor area where Michael set up a second picnic for us - complete with paninis, chips & glass plates, silverware and cloth napkins. For our last stop, Michael gave us options: we opted to go into Los Olivos - a cute little town with tons of tasting rooms and bars. We had another tasting included and he gave us some free time to drunkenly wonder around town (aka walk across the street). We did Dragonette's tasting room, which was good (but at this point we were both pretty drunk) and then popped across the street, so we could try local beer. Michael dropped us home - and even gave us dinner and local brewery and tasting room suggestions! Thank you, Michael, for a really memorable experience! Melanie clearly knows the Santa Ynez Valley well and has great connections in the wine community. Perhaps she was having an off day, but Melanie arrived a bit late and came across as a little distracted and not quite as engaged as we'd hoped. She didn't linger with our group longer than needed, but we felt rushed toward the end of each stop. The driving between locations was also not great and added to the feeling that we were being hurried through the experience. Despite those hiccups, the quality of the tour itself speaks for itself. We'd definitely give Destination Vine a second chance and look forward to experiencing it at a more relaxed pace.

If James Ball and his wife or any kind of decent business owners, it would've communicated to me instead of ignoring my communication with them, but it doesn't matter because I won in Small Claims Court, even James Ball, lying to the judge and trying to record during small claims court shows how unprofessional and immature a man like that is and how he runs his business. If you see the pictures attached James Ball wants to point out that I didn't go over the job prior to starting.... AGAIN JAMES... that diagram that you posted on my Yelp page is from my estimating program that show corresponds points of work being done compared to the estimate... next time PAY ATTENTION and this wont happen to you again.
